BN i do not think that they are protesting fuel scarcity, from what i can read on the placard i see ‘ Nigerians Boycott South African Companies or so it seems from my dim screen here. We really ought to occupy Nigeria this time and stop being complacent; things have gotten to an all time low …

That’s what we know how to do best.
Till we have a bit of personal discomfort we continue to do siddon look.
Such protests should have happened years ago.
And the protest should have been targeted at the fact that such a big country does not have functioning refineries. Your protest should be attacking the root cause, not the end effect.
Noise makers, they’ll sleep&shoki their future away again tomorrow when things get back to the different levels of comfort they’re used to

  6. Why

    May 25, 2015 at 2:06 pm

I used to be an advocate for one Nigeria, but now i have come to the conclusion that Nigeria is a cesspit that will never be fixed because the people don’t want progress, When Jona was the clueless president the North frustrated him with Boko Haram, Buhari is elected people start blowing pipelines and making threats,he is going to get the worst economy in Nigerian history. We need to separate or go back to autonomous ruling because this country is a disgrace. I done with Nigeria, i will only focus on my region now. The three major tribe have conflicting ideologies and they are blocking the progress of this country.

Three major doesn’t imply others fall under them. Nigeria is more than Hausa, Ibo, Yoruba.
Just like saying the 3 major banks in the country are First Bank, Zenith Bank and GTBank; doesn’t mean Sterling bank has to fall under each of the 3.
Just as G8 does not mean there are only 8 countries in the world and the rest fall under the 8.

    • Why

      May 25, 2015 at 3:54 pm

Read and comprehend please,Major means the tribes with the highest population, the majority race in USA is white, does that mean other races fall under them? No. You do understand that English words are relative in meaning to the way you use them right? They are the ones in charge of government, the economy and they are always at eachother’s throat. They need to be separated.

Oloshi dem ; Shebi when GEJ wanted to Remove subsidy ,;Labour put you guys in the way.: went to meet the cabals to collect their share of the subsidy cake and organized a sham protest.
Deal with, until subsidy is removed and the cabals brought to their knees; this is just the beginning.

Nope. Let’s not get things mixed up here. Occupy Nigeria was only 3 years ago, it’s too early to start mixing up the facts. The core reason for those protests was because of the insensitive manner the removal of subsidy was conducted – on the very first day of a new year, during a period considered to be financially low for many Nigerians. The suffering that move inflicted on the average nigerian was too much too bear, that is why people took to the streets

That does not clear the fact the labor unions were bribed by the oil cabals. In a life of a country, there comes a time citizens will have to pass through fire for the future of their unborn generation. No pain no gain; had it been we allowed for it to be removed ;we won’t be in this mess now.
Whether it was done in the middle of the year, there will still be protests. The cabals are just manipulating the populace on a chess board. Not even GMBH can stop them; this is democracy baby; it is not going to be easy as una think ooh.
