I hope the medical degree is in use…it would be a travesty otherwise.

@Chika, how is it a travesty? She probably doing what she really loves…….
must we practise what we studied in school? What if she studied medicine due to pressure from her parents. I have a law degree i never used,am doing what i truly love and have never ever considered it a travesty

There are people who genuinely want to be doctors but don’t get the chance due to spots taken by these people “under pressure” as you claim.
Yes we are free to do whatever makes us happy but it is indeed rather unfortunate for anyone to invest so many years of their lives in a much needed field and for it to end up in the dumpster. Just saying.

But then again, its not your flipping business. Dont blame us for not being able to get into school to study medicine please.Learn to sort out your issues bro

Is it your life? Is she complaining about the years she put in, or did you join her to put in those years? and what makes one field more ‘needed’ than the other? maybe you meant to say ‘competitive’

Some comments are just so shady…Kiki happy birthday.
Not every one loves to practice what they studies in school..i read medical laboratory sciences and now am into project management and evaluation cause that is what i like. After all i made my parents happy by reading what they wanted me to read in the Uni for 5 years.
    It’s no time wasting.

Blame it on pressure, parents..blame it on the alcohol…bottom life is its your life and if you waste it doing something that you’re not passionate about or spend so many years doing something that will not be of use to the society in later life, its unfortunate. The good news is that she found her calling and is happy.
