Her heart-wrenching story of unwavering faith while she was an Ebola patient touched the lives of all who read her story. And now, almost a year later, Dr. Ada Igonoh, is reminiscing about that challenging period in her life, and the lessons she learned from the experience.

She took to Twitter to state the following:

Exactly a yr ago, I had survived my first night at the Isolation centre,Yaba, not knowing when and if I would leave alive. God was faithful

The vomiting n diarrhea had really kicked in. All I had was God n bottles of ORS. No time to wish for a better ward. It was fight to survive

All I could eat was pap n Psalm 91. Nothing else mattered. I was going to leave that ward somehow. God had built a hedge of faith around me

There was no time for “Why me?”. It was time to put into action all that I believed about God. In that smelly dark room, He was there.
