Sunday Inspiration! The Touching Story behind a Burns Survivor’s Makeover
When Abuja-based makeup artist Zuzu Mamman of Sabjoz Beauty World published these photos online, she had no idea that they would have such an impact.
There is an even more remarkable story behind these photos. BellaNaija reached out to the makeup artist and she shared the story with us. It is so amazing that for the 2nd day running, we have found young Nigerians performing random acts of kindness towards strangers.
We hear way too many negative stories and it has inspired us so much!
The Story behind the Photos
Makeup artist Zuzu was in a salon when she spotted a young lady. The pretty young woman had burn scars on her face and body. Zuzu spoke to her and during their conversation, she revealed that she had survived a gas explosion.
She had gone into the kitchen and did not realize there was gas leakage. Once turned on the stove and lit a match, there was a huge explosion. The brave young lady survived this devastating experience.
After they spoke, Zuzu asked if she could make her over. She said yes. They decided on a bridal inspired makeover and you can see the results below.
We see beauty both in the “before” and “after” photos. We commend the brave young lady for allowing the world to see her in both ways and also Zuzu for reaching out to a stranger turned friend.

It’s in kindness that we actually unlock something so powerful that has always been inside of us.
I’ve realised that sometimes when all we do is us, clarity is far, progress can even be confusing.
But when we do others not for the praise but to extend the sheer love that is inside of us .. In it we truly find ourselves.
I desire to show kindness his week!

I didn’t need to see her on make-up to know she is beautiful. She is obviously a beautiful lady without that paint all over her face.

Not just you, I noticed it too, the makeup artists intentionally put not so flattering before pics
Seriously
October 25, 2015 at 7:41 pm
The same for weight loss. They imply that new makeup and new body is what is making them smile. It’s interesting.

Hmmm… Now everyone is complimenting and WOWing cos she’s got burns rite but if its a normal lady wearing makeup probably to hide blackheads, you will see comments like ‘too much makeup’ ‘fraud’ ‘make-up artists won’t make heaven’. GodIsWatchingAllOfUna

I saw a certain comment on a fitness trainer’s page, which I devotedly follow. The fitness trainer shared a story on how she helped an homeless man, The comment reads : Hi Dana What a wonderful story…I’ve thought for a
while now…if we could just fold the world in
half…those that have and those that Don’t….each
person just take one person and help them…imagine
what that would do…this is your one person…beauti
fully done. Thanks for sharing.”
I really do love this exact comment, serving humanity at the end of the day is what everyone ends up doing, through different ways. This lady has found her own person. Have You found yours? Oh, and I’m finding mine aswell.

I’ve always echoed the same sentiments… i was telling my Husband that if just one family can take turns in feeding the helpless people that live in make shift houses on their streets , the world will be a better place.
In Lekki, you always see families in make shift houses on uncompleted plots of land, and right beside them are houses , sometimes mansions where people have more than they need.
Let us look around and help people around us.

Perfect point… It’s not enough to gosh on how inspiring this post has bee. Let’s all look for ” one ” person.. As Chaz B would say ” if each one can reach one , then each one can teach one… What a beautiful life this will be”
I don’t remember it .. But you get my point.
Have a lovely week ahead .

The young lady should use HELICHRYSUM ESSENTIAL OIL for her burn scarring. It will fix EVERYTHING. SOMEONE HOOK HER UP. It’s 15 dollars U.S.
