Ignite Fellowship presents “The Role of Grace in the Race of Faith” | A Must Attend Event This Saturday

How did you give your life to Christ? Someone might have told you that God solves all problems, and that life is wonderful and amazing and easy in Christ. So you said, great, sign me up! You said the prayer, confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and danced back to your seat with gladness in your heart.

But now, this Christianity thing doesn’t seem to be adding up with the reality you’re experiencing. Like, if Jesus loves me, truly, why is the struggle so REAL? Why did my business flop? Why is my husband taking forever to find me? Why are my guys buying benz’s and building houses, while I struggle with a beat-up car in my parent’s house? Why did I end up with whiny children who don’t seem to love me? In fact, with all the Christians in Nigeria, why is the economy getting worse? Why isn’t God answering our prayers?

And yet, God says His grace is sufficient for us. He says He has good plans for us, He says He will exceed our expectations above what we can ask or imagine. He says He loves us, He says He can never lie to us, He says His promises will not fall empty until they have been fulfilled.

And we say we believe Him. But it is so, so hard…

You’re not alone. We know exactly how you feel, and we’re meeting on Saturday to talk about it. There will also be a scavenger hunt with a lot of great prizes to be won.

Who are we?

Ignite is the youth fellowship of Guiding Light Assembly, Lagos. We are real Christians in the real struggle, looking to Jesus for guidance at every step – and stumble! – of this Christian walk.

Ignite is for the young and the young at heart!
