K. Michelle breaks down On-Air | Opens up about her Battle with Depression, Having an Abortion, Racism in the Industry & More

Singer K. Michelle has been having a tough week during her press rounds.

First it was an emotional rollercoaster interview with Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club a few days ago and now during her interview with Sway on Shade 45 she just couldn’t see to hold back the tears.

During the interview K. Michelle, who is currently promoting her “More Issues Than Vogue” album, talked about the pressures of the music industry and how it is all getting to her.

According to K. Michelle she hasn’t gotten enough sleep in the past two weeks and as a result she’s been getting pills (uppers and downers) from her doctor.

K. Michelle talks about how she is in an emotional state, how hard she is working and how she often forgets to eat. The waterworks started when she was talking about not being able to do the music she wants to do and saying what she wants to say.

She also opened up about an abortion she went through, the racism in this industry (especially when it comes to Billboard or Grammys not inviting top selling R&B acts to award shows), people not caring about her health even when she’s worked 24-7 and feeling sick, and more.

Watch the emotional interview below.

Deep! First and foremost, you are the only one who can care and love yourself. Concentrate on making urself better and do great work. I’m happy u let it all out, cos holding it in is bad! You also need a good support system at home or in d industry just like Taylor and u will be okay.

The time you use in clapping back on social media to all and sundry, you can use it to get some sleep. K michelle that is a bully to others. Her music is good though.

She is so rachet as we can all see on her realty show. Girl, you know what you were getting into when you decided that you want to sing and become a star. Get over it, so shape up or shape out.
