Texture and the power hidden in feeling are the two focal point of exploration for Senegalese designer Sally Raby Kane whose clothing has gone beyond the traditional cut, trim and sew technique to a more sophisticated use of embroidery common to the Northern part of Nigeria but only on a grander scale..

According to the brand “This winter the Selly Raby Kane woman reconnects with her dreams, and re-imagines her interactions with the world through bright colours, high contrasts and surreal embroidery”. This reconnection is most brilliantly conveyed in the neatly embroidered jackets and coats that make up the core of the collection

I will assume most of these pieces are creative concept of the designer and not ready to wear pieces? If not, Oga designer your collection ain’t werking.

Definitely ready to wear. The term doesn’t always mean that the pieces belong on a rack or would suit the average person. So think ready to wear for Rihanna perhaps. All in all fantastic pieces.

Beautiful diamond sliced crack that allows me a glimpse from way over here in New Zealand of your stunning vision. I have never felt like this in front of fabric and expertise . Way beyond appreciation. The strength of the clothes offer protection with grace and fabulousness that offers inclusion in such a way that encourages outsiders and introverts to FLY! Thank you from my little world xx. p.s. I sent a previous post, can’t see it on yr site.
