Number one reason why they don’t grow and move forward. Everything is hate to them. Instead of taking corrections and learn, all they do is clap back. Who asked her about if she’s making money or not… Hissed!

Extended Play. Too short to be an album, but its contents are more than a single.

Sheyi shay is extremely dumb. You know those olodo kind of people who use braggado to cover mistake. No one is hating on you honey, at least try to know more than average about your field of work, or you should have been honest by saying “i don’t know the meaning of EP, Please tell me the meaning”

Nobody is telling us the meaning oh! Taking correction is something a lot of people don’t do! We learn everyday… it’s alright, biko what is the meaning???

  13. molarah

    April 21, 2016 at 3:44 pm

This glamourization of ignorance by celebrities…I can’t deal. I believe the EP refers to “Extended Play” as it is being used in the music/recording context. When the backlash started, she should quickly have confirmed the correct meaning and retracted her statement, rather than responding this way.

  14. Greatness

    April 21, 2016 at 3:49 pm

This is ridiculous, why bring down a lady, proud or humble, over such matter. EP’s full meaning is not that common with artistes or non-artistes. I mean some acronyms are already given nobody ever care to know or look up their full meanings. I wont be surprised if Don Jazzy a producer of EPs does not know it’s Extended Play – and why should he? Nigerians stop bringing out the bile in people

Stop excusing mediocrity . Wouldn’t you be pained if a tax officer tells you that s/he doesn’t know the meaning of VAT (Value Added Tax ) and calls it Very Aggressive Tension instead. She should have said I dont know than spewing that Electric Package rubbish

    • g4g

      April 21, 2016 at 5:15 pm

Stop rubbish, most artistes, including foreign ones are not graduates or scholarly one bit, they just love their art and dont need to know all these grammatical fine-things

@Abi the way I agree with you ehn? We make ignorance seem like a cool thing & making money the total sum of everything. Money is good, being successful is even better but educating yourself & accepting your blunder serves you best. So @iamseyishay, we don’t know it all & we don’t even expect you to but making money & appearing on the cover of any newspaper is not all that is important. So beautiful girl, feed you mind, read, exercise your brain. Ever wondered why American stars (Jolie, Pitt, Clooney, etc. come off so eloquent & educated you’ll think they had a Ph.D. Or something, it’s cos they are constantly reading. Learning new things, exploring the world, improving on their craft and that young lady is the sum of all things.

Ep: Extended Play. Uhmmm I’m so sorry Ms Shay, but even some of the greats were uneducated but geniuses in their field. If you choose to be in the music business, please master your Art. God’s blessings.

If the show was not live it should have been edited. However, if it was live, her manager should have got her a list of the questions b4 she went on air.

Its ok to make mistakes, its human nature geez. Some of these naija”celebrities” need to take a course in communication and conduct biko. She couldve made herself more endearing by laughing off the whole thing and even making a meme clowning the situation. Thats how u show pple that u dont take life too serious and that u have a sense of humor. This one is here getting her panties all up in a bunch for an obvious mistake she made. U shoulda just ignored the jokes and join in cos now people will see ur insecurities and clown u even more. Who cares if ure making money? Typical povertymentality. As if other are also not making money.

Seyi Shay’s attitude reminds me alot of iggy azelia’s….very rude and saucy.

Its obvious ure embarrassed by what happened sheyi but u couldve just laughed it off cos u come off really insecure and made right now. This is not ur first dumb-moment. I remember when chuey from pulsetv asked u a question on camera and u gave the dumbest answer ever, my mouth was agape.

You’re asked what EP means as an “international artist” & you fluked, now correction has become hate. “Everyone who listened to her became dumb” as the video collage stated. Be posted on front page of the papers you still don’t know what EP is….bloody shame to the tag “international artist”.

    April 23, 2016 at 10:29 pm

Notice she said short album! she just didn’t know what the acronym meant. That’s shameful because I schooled in Nigeria and Knew the meaning of that in JSS1 Music class. You played yourself boo.
