Hosted by Temi Otedola of JTO Fashion, Afternoon Tea in Ankara (ATIA) is an event aimed at encouraging and inspiring young creatives who want to break into the competitive fashion industry both in Nigeria and the UK.
The first ATIA event happened in February 2016 and it featured four remarkable women on the panel; Founder of Alara Lagos Reni Folawiyo, first female publisher of British GQ Vanessa Kingori who is also the first black publisher in Condé Nast UK, Chief Executive Officer of the British Fashion Council Caroline Rush, Founder of Style House Files and Lagos Fashion & Design Week Omoyemi Akerele.
According to Temi Otedola;
I’m so thrilled to finally share with you the panel from the first ever ATIA 2016. There were inspiring speeches made by Reni Folawiyo, Omoyemi Akerele, Vanessa Kingori and Caroline Rush, who spoke about their experiences working as top figures in the Nigerian and British fashion industries. It was an honour to have these accomplished women on the first ever ATIA panel and I thank them again for their involvement.
