Leyi Ush Style House, a subsidiary of Leyi Ush Styling & Consulting is a luxury store that retails Nigerian designers located in Calabar. See photos of the store opening by clicking here. Their most recent campaign promotes the #BuyAfrican #BuyNigerian movement and here’s what they had to say.

At Leyi Ush Style House, we focus on improving the personal appearance of Nigerian women and enabling them express themselves through fashion. ‎We also offer renowned designers space in our store to showcase their merchandise and promote their brands. Over time, we have acquired a following in Calabar and beyond.‎ Some of the Nigerian designers we stock include Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Grey, Chidinma Obairi, FIA, House of Marie ‎and Things Nigerians Love (TNL). We have an in-house Zazaii concession store as well.

Leyi Ush has always been committed to promoting the Nigerian fashion industry. We ‎have garnered ardent support, leading to the birth of the maiden edition of our‎ #BuyAfrican ‎#BuyNigerian‎ series in collaboration with three exceptional service providers: @ritasbeautysolutions, ‎@exposurebystevedavid and @dadoyusuf‎. ‎Together we have compiled a lookbook of renowned retailers displaying their brands in inspiring, artistic ways.

Only Leyi Ush can be her own model..Slay mama…Keep shining.
Okay unto serious matters…This buy nigerian business, can someone tell us at least how much some of these pieces cost because if they are really exorbitant as i hear then its an issue oòo.

Hi Fabulicious….I went by EAT to check out their stock as I am trying to get into this buy Nigeria scheme. An ofi set skirt and top was about 5ok and a well made high low dress was around the 40K mark and they were willing to customise a bit. But reflecting on Amaka’s comment below my only reservation was that at that price…it is competing with me buying a decent well made dress from high street labels off John Lewis. I plan to buy an item from them ..but I highly doubt if I will be a repeat buyer as I don’t believe I am getting enough material quality(lace etc) for my money. I will be happy to be proven wrong.

True! But some of them are still reasonably priced. Just checked out Chidinma and TNL. Great price points

Lovely outfits, the jumpsuits are beautiful.. The buy Nigeria concept is basically to make this dresses affordable to fellow Nigerians but if the prices are competing with foreign pieces I’ll as well go for foreign designers..

  10. Dont tell me buy Nigerian

    June 12, 2016 at 10:11 pm

….If all you want to do is mark up prices by 1000%

When you can’t compete favourably with high street stores.

I wont buy Nigerian just because i need to buy Nigerian. You need to get competitive. If there is a skirt that costs 2k and a Nigerian version that is even 3k, i will buy, but if the Nigerian version is marked up unnecessarily… Hia Sorry, I will rather save my money to grow my savings.

I wonder why the prices are not listed on the site. Even when click on order now, It still doesn’t show the price but gives you a form instead. What’s the sense in that? I don’t want to go through the trouble to find that the item is unaffordable.

Really doesn’t make sense at all, these are the kinds of comments and feedback they should be on the lookout for. Pricing is a key part of any business and can make or break it.
