1) Innocent – “Bungalow no day collapse”, these was one of popular sayings of my ignorant uncle. My dad’s elder brother was a semi learned man and he was into gambling.Luckily for him, he won a jackpot and he decided to build a house and be free from the so called “Lagos landlords”. His idea was ideal but apart from being gambler, he was also a miser. My uncle hated spending money or rather giving out money.
So when my uncle started building his house, the engineer would advice him to buy quality materials but he would opt for less quality because he didn’t want to spend money and if the engineer should caution him about its effect, he would say ” Bungalow no day collapse” because he was building a bungalow. Eventually, the house was completed and he moved in with his family.
The unwanted happened, there was a big storm in Lagos and it removed the roof of the building and half of the wall of the building collapsed. This event took my uncle back to square one because he couldn’t rehabilitate the building. He sold the land and had to fall back to a rented apartment because of his ignorance.
So avoid setbacks like these in life, get good building materials and enjoy the best form of insurance.I recommend #Emilinks in the aspect of furnitures.

2) Mojisola – Day 26 I have learnt a great lesson from the use of Substandard materials… It’s too bad it’s an everlasting lesson!
Tope and I had been friends since I knew I had to share my biscuit wit someone, we go way back primary school. She’s my BFF. One faithful afternoon after home lesson I went to Tope’s house and we were at the verandah playing, wen suddenly, I heard a loud noise, I looked back with fear only to find out that the front door fell down and landed on Tope! I screamed, her parents rushed out and Tope was taken to the hospital…we knw the rest… But it’s been 7yrs now and the scars are there on Tope’s shoulders! Her hands have never been the same again. If only the door was quality, it wouldn’t have fallen on Tope… The disadvantages of Substandard materials are too numerous to mention, the damages that a Substandard door has done to my friend cannot be over emphasized. If only the door was quality, an Emilinks door, Tope wouldn’t be in the situation she is in right now, because the door wouldn’t have fallen. Use quality materials and products so you can live in peace, so you wouldn’t have to bother about a falling door, so you won’t have a deformed shoulder like my friend! I have learnt my own lesson and have seen it first hand. Get quality, Get Emilinks! #MyDoorStory #Emilinks

5) Prince K. – Many a time we blame contractors for constructing less quality homes. We have never ask them the reasons behind their doings. I noticed Most product been produced nowadays are not authentic, most companies and manufacturers produce less quality goods and services. The stingy ones go for the less quality product all in the name of cheap selling price but at the end result to lost and damage of properties. I do remember we narrowly escaped in the same trap when my dad needed to build his present house fortunately, I overheard when he and my beautiful mum was estimating on how to bit the prices of the building materials to the lowest cost, but I knew my mum was behind the plan. The next day they planned leaving to buy those material i stopped them from going and oriented them about a building that collapse beside my friend house and killed a lot of lives because the building materials lack good quality, immediately they melted and take a deep breath to re-plan. They now have to re-think and seek orientation from contractors to get an authentic materials and they were told to get some cogent ones from Emilinks Nigeria. Now we healthy live with faith in our new building. #Emilinks #bellanaija #mydoorstory day 26

A big tragic moment that occur when I was an undergraduate and will never leave my heart. In the year 2003 I woke up on a good Thursday morning to hear that my beautiful girlfriend Felix Nelly died in Collapsed building, it was very shocking when I heard she died, can’t stop crying because She was so innocent about the accident, the pretty damsel I saw a day before she left. Immediately we got to the hostel we noticed some substandard materials were used for the construction. The blocks were weak inside, I was about to arrest the owner of the house and the agent, but some neighbors around me consoled me. So they told me the story about the building that it has been built just about 10 year ago but with some substandard materials, the block got soaked with rain before plastering it and the roofing thrust got rotting before lifting it and I was very sobered. Since then I felt bad and vowed not to risk my life’s for substandard material in construction of my house to secure another love one from dying. So I heard about Emilinks ever lasting, so I decided to build my house with their product. Now I have a Brighter family and home.emilinks products gives you 100% guarantee

“Prevention is indeed better than cure ” My uncle’s story completely illustrates the saying, prevention is better than cure. My uncle was building a two storey building at Abraka, very close to Delta state University, Abraka. He was in a hurry to finished the house, so students could start paying for the hostel accommodation… He made a huge mistake by using Substandard materials, mmm, if only he heard of Emilinks on time, I’m sure he wouldn’t be in the situation he is in right now. His friend showed him a place were he could buy building materials almost half the price they were really worth. The building was almost completed and my uncle was feeling on top of the world, he was planning to buy “this and that” with the money that wud be gotten wen the students finally pay. One sunny afternoon while the roofing was on going, no one knew what happened, the entire building came down in pieces, to cut the long story short, my uncle and his friend was arrested, by the family of a worker who died! My uncle wud have prevented everything, if only he had gotten quality building materials like wood… Because it was said that the wood he purchased was a Substandard wood, already infested by termites. He wud have Prevented suffering and starting over frm the scratch, Prevented Sleeping in the police station, prevented loss of lives, money and properties. Prevent all these, use quality materials, Use EMILINKS!

My Mum divorced Dad because of substandard materials(doors and iron-sheet) my Dad Refused to change in our Home. Whenever Rain falls, our rooms would be full of Water. And my Mum had been informing him long Time ago but Dad always says “I will do it, don’t Worry”. Until she packed out of the house.

After 1week my Dad bought Emilinks Doors and fitted it in our house and he also changed the iron sheets.
The next Day,my sister called Mum on phone and told her Dad had bought Emilinks Doors and he had fitted it, also iron sheets.

She was excited a little bit because she hadn’t seen it.

She decided to visit our home, getting there, she(Mum) couldn’t believe what she saw, she gave dad a pleasant hug and kissing. Since then up till now, we’re living a happy Home.

Then I knew the importance of building houses with quality materials,it brings Unity, Love, Peace and Rest of Mind.

With what I’ve experienced,I noticed whenever I’m old enough to build my own house,I should go for Emilinks doors because it last Long than Any other doors I’ve seen, secured, create peace and unity. And all other Quality Materials.
God bless Emilinks doors for reuniting my Dad and Mum again.

One cool evening, as I was strolling through my neighbourhood, taking the sugar cane I just bought.

I heard people shouting “bring water bring water”
It was two shops that were engulfed in flames.

Without hesitation, I gave a helping hand, and in no time we were able to put the fire out even before the fire fighters could arrive.

To our surprise one of the shop was not affected as we thought, you know why?

Because the building was made of Quality Building Materials, not just that they were also furnished with Emilinks products.

With that experience, my advice to Landlords and Landladies, when building your houses, shops, do so with quality materials. What is worth doing, is worth doing well.

The difference will always be clear.

On a faithful morning after the early morning prayers in the mosque the imam decided to hold a meeting with the executives of the mosque concerning the proposed mosque building they were planning to build, so I was in charge of the materials we were buying as a contractor, after presenting the list of materials we were buying to the imam he decided to read what was in the list to every member in the meeting, the moment he read the list finish one of the executives stood up and said why will we spend such amount on a mosque? That the money Is too much that we should try and save cost since it’s just a mosque that we are building. The other executive’s also agreed to what he said except the chairman of the mosque that stood up and told them they shouldn’t be thinking I want to fraud them of their money that am only trying to get the best products for them that he isn’t happy when he is hearing the word “JUST A MOSQUE” that it doesn’t speak well for them to be thinking about getting sub standard materials for a mosque. That buying a good and quality materials will save us from danger and stress of renovating the mosque every year, no matter the building you want to build either it’s a mosque or a church, recreation center, hospital etc never think of using substandard materials because we might be thinking it’s not our house and it’s not necessary for us to use quality materials but on the long run it might be a serious and big problem, in order to save yourself from embarrassment and troubles overnight. Get Emilinks products and have a peace of mind.. Life gets better with EMILIKNS ???. # Emilinks #MyDoorStory Day 27

Early this year one Thursday evening like that, I sat down lost in my thoughts.
then suddenly I jumped on my feet out of fear, gosh! It was my friend Razaq whom I visited that tapped me on the shoulder.

‘’Guy what are you thinking of?’’ He said

‘Guy I have to pack into my new apartment in few weeks time, since I could not afford a very good apartment I have to manage that one I told you about, the one near that fuel station, Guy that house is leaking badly, With the way things are now, i may have to pay for 1 year, I don’t have much to get a better apartment. I explained to my friend Rasaq.

“O boy, in this raining season, that is the last thing you need, Why not go for a much better and affordable apartment, there is one across that street after that mai suya, their building materials are of #Emilinks brand just like my own they are affordable, durable and comfortable to stay in’’ he said

The next day he took me there, and to my surprise, it was just the way he described it, We had to contact the agent immediately and I paid for 1 ½ years.
Wow, the house is just my dream house.

I have no more fears of having to sleep under a leaking roof.
Patronize EMILINKS products, e.g. Kitchen set, Doors, Chairs etc and you will be glad you did

I remember the first time I met my wife. I had just started working with a property company and she was a client looking for a house to rent. So i was charged with showing her the houses that were available for rent. Imagine my shock when we got to one of the house and this beautiful “posh” looking lady climbed on the roof of the house! I found out that she was a civil engineer and she was checking the structural integrity of the roof. “Mike”, she said, her eyes gleaming, “I cannot just rent any type of house. You won’t believe how many beautiful looking houses there are, that are just a minute away from collapsing because of the substandard products used in building them!” “So what’s your dream house?” I asked her in frustration after another day of fruitless searching. “A house that is structurally sound with a beautiful design and most importantly furnished with Emilinks furniture”. At my look of shock, she added, “From working on sites, I have found their doors and furniture to be strong, great quality and very affordable”.

However after two weeks of searching, I slowly watched her eyes take on a look of despair. “Mike maybe I’m asking for too much”, she said one day, as we drove out of another house. “Maybe I should just settle for whatever I can get”. That night after dropping her off, I began to search alone in earnest. I called other agents, spoke to landlords. I spent the weekend pounding the street and searched for that house like I have never done before. “Mike, how did you find this place”, she asked as we walked into the house. I smiled sheepishly. Then I watched her face light up with joy as she realised, ” they are all Emilinks doors and wardrobes!” she crowed. And she ran and jumped on me, sending us both crashing on the floor. That was 18months ago and nothing gives me more pleasure than hearing my wife tell the story of how wanting a good house gave her, her husband.

I have a firsthand experience with living in a house built with substandard materials and trust me, it’s not a funny experience. In my former house,i used to be so afraid to leave the house whenever it rains because I don’t know what disaster may be awaiting when I come back. It’s either the parlor is flooded and the cushions get damp or my TV has fallen from the wall and smashed Once it rains, all the walls become damp, the whole house becomes humid and starts to smell. As a result, unwanted insects especially mosquitoes and termites use my house as their breeding site! I was always embarrassed whenever I had visitors because they must go home with mosquito bites after all the sleepless nights. I have replaced my flat screen TV twice as they always fell from the wall whenever the walls become damp. I really suffered in that house because it was owned by a family friend and I was busy suffering and smiling. It had to take one of my visitors to boldly sit me down one day and advise me to move to another house. He directed me to one of the houses that was almost was being built and almost completed and gave me the assurance that he was the supervising Engineer and all the materials were bought from Emilinks which has been tried and trusted over the years. As soon as I had that assurance I quickly paid an advance to the agent to secure the place for me. Thankfully now,i live in a comfortable two bedroom flat which is free from mosquitoes and insects, my TV is safe on the wall again, rain or no and the house is well insulated. My joy know no bounds and I owe it to Emilinks

I was sleeping in the second floor of the building
when I heard the sound not too long before I went
to bed at about 10 -10:30 pm on a Wednesday Night.
At first I thought it was a bomb before I could
realize anything I heard crack sound again and the
entire building went down with the whole eight of us
    sleeping in different rooms.
Sleeping next to me was my cousin James; we
    were both displaced when
the building collapsed. James was sheltered by
two beams that created a relief over-lay that
prevented the concrete from crushing him to death.
Everything went black when the building collapsed
and I could not move. The only thing I did was
digging the sand with my two hands looking for a
way out but all effort could not direct
    me to any exit point.
I was in between the building for hours until help found me on Thursday afternoon about 1pm. It is an experience I don’t even wish for an enemy, it was a near death experience.
Investigations later proved the building collapsed due to sub-standard building materials.

What I can advice to prevent happenings like this is provision of housing for people. If each person still needs to struggle to build his own
house with inadequate money, he hardly can pay for
good quality. Also if the industry is not
well regulated and anybody can be a
contractor just because you have access to people
who are in a position to give you contracts, then this buildings collapsing might just not end. #Emilinks #Day27 #MyDoorStory

They say “if knowledge is expensive, try ignorance”. Ignorance led my former neighbour back to his humble beginnings. Ohh! Hw Mr. Kofo – my neighbour loved QUANTITY and he doesn’t care about QUALITY things unlike his friend Mr.Wale who wouldn’t go anything less than QUALITY . After both friend’s worked for d government for so many, they retired and decided to use their entitlement to build a house.Been close friends, they decided to build in d same vicinity, they used the same building style but the difference was the QUALITY of the building materials. Eventually, they completed their houses and both moved in.
As time went by,Mr kofo started experiencing problems ranging from leaking roofs, termites infestations, cracked walls to mention a few.Unlike Mr. Wale who was enjoying his money’s worth because he patronized QUALITY materials especially the wood aspect. Mr.Wale used #Emilinks wood for his roof frame and was protected from leaking roof and also used #Emilinks termites-proof doors,Kitchen cabinets and wardrobes and so free from termites infestations. Unfortunately for Mr.Kofo he had to sell d house cost the cost of repairing was becoming unbearable.
So get QUALITY building materials, get #Emilinks furniture and get Peace of Mind.

My husband and i have always been in a haste to the completion of the building our house not minding the fact if it was properly built with quality building materials. We didnt care anyways afterall the “painting of the house will cover all the flaws”. Only if we knew there was more to this. Our contractor wasnt experienced at all so also contributed to this great loss. Our building was finally completed and furnished before the end of the year, and collasped in the middle of the next year.We lost everything in the process because we did not use quality materials.
We continued to pay rent until we finally decided to build again. We decided not to make that mistake again, so we attended different serminars and worshops on “Building with quality materials” by Emilinks. The last workshop was the best and impactful. So i thought to share:
” when you start your building project, you will want to look for a reputable company to construct and design your house. It is very important to be sure they are using good quality building materials throughout the process.
The first step to ensure they are using high quality building materials is to do a research on the contractor by asking to visit completed projects and getting a feel of the quality materials used. The contractor and team should also be very experienced.
For building materials like doors and windows, it is especially important to choose high quality products for proper security and beauty…”
After the workshop, Emilinks gave open tickets to potential builders to use their contractors. We signed up and gave them a chance. Today, our house is fully completed and secured with Emilinks quality building materials.
Emilinks is really the best in the field!

There was a day, I was passing by a building still in construction. The building was tall and people use to say when it’s completed, it’s going to be the most beautiful building in that area. I couldn’t agree more as I stood and admired it. Workers were working hard and everything was going well. I turned to continue my journey and 2 mins later the unexpected happened. I heard the building collapsing, I immediately turned back…it was tragic. I was moved to tears as I could see people running out and others trapped.
Lives were lost because not all the workers could get out before it crashed to the ground. The once beautiful building was reduced to rubbish all because of substandard materials being used. The state government waded into the matter and ordered both the owner and the contractors arrested to investigate the cause. It was however verified that substandard materials was the cause.
There are some things we are ignorant of that causes incidents like this, everybody should know this :
    1. Managing materials: When building any high rising structure, dont manage. Use the right amount of materials and use quality.
    2. Failure to follow the books: Sometimes people fail to adhere to recommended and approved plans and specifications. When building, follow the books. Dont seek quick fix or shortcuts. It always backfire.
    3. Understanding Weights: Buildings, like all structures, are designed to support certain loads without deforming excessively. The loads are the weights
of people, wind, furnitures, rain etc.
    4. Excessive alternation: dont change the plan too much during construction process. ‘I want the bedroom bigger’. ‘No the kitchen should be here, not
there. ‘Can this foundation take another floor?’.
    5. Thorough Geotechnical Investigation also known as soil test should be done: Knowledge of the soil profile and its characteristics should be known. #Day27 #Emilinks #MyDoorStory

My parents and I used to live in a face me I face you apartment and you know all this kinda houses have a problem of sharing toilet and bathrooms together so my dad rented the whole three rooms to avoid this problem of sharing bathrooms and toilet.
The Ignorant caretaker do not take care of the building so looking at the building there were cracks and he said nothing will happen every time my dad complained but he kept saying he would do it with quality materials.
One day we went for church service and when we came back, the place that had the crack had collapsed which was one part of the building but fortunately for us my dad had paid for a flat in another place with strong building built with quality materials so my sisters and I just salvaged the situation and carried all our loads and moved to the new apartment.
Its is advisable to use quality materials for buildings to avoid collapse and loss of lives. If you want Quality then don’t look else where go to #Emilinks. #MyDoorStory #Day27

Here comes the gossip of all times “see this lady she has a child already and now wants to build a house, which man will marry her like that??..I pity her” I turned deaf ears to all that was said and built my house. I used quality materials and employed knowledgeable people for it. It wasn’t easy cause materials were expensive and paying workers was times 2.but I said to myself the house rent I was paying wasn’t worth it, today it’s the toilet, tomorrow rain is dropping inside the house. That encouraged me to do mine better cause I don’t want to pass through such stress. Now I’m married,i live in my husband’s house and rented mine. My tenants are testimonies. Quality and standard buildings keep u safe and reduces stress.thanks

Following up building materials that are made available yearly can be a stressful task, identifying standard ones is even more complicated but one that is necessary in the industry. These days all we hear are buildings that are collapsing for one reason or another.Identifying good building materials could be hectic but the life’s that would be saved is worth it, these days people just rush into building and use anyhow materials. Some greedily want to safe money , I don’t even want to think of other reasons why people do it.I really wish the country would set really hard policies on buildings , maybe its going to make people think twice about using sub standard materials.I really hope the course for using good materials is further agitated for and I really thank emilinks for this platform provided to remind ourselves on the importance of good building materials cause we wont only be keeping ourselves save from building collapse we will also be saving the life’s of people that would stay in the building after us.Nothing feels like staying in your home and being confident its solid. #emilinks #day27 #mydoorstory

It’s not an easy task building a house in Rivers State especially in the swampy areas, not to talk of how expensive building materials cost. I remember when I started my building at elepranwo axis in port Harcourt city. I was discouraged by my family and friends because it was too swampy and a lot of houses built their has never lasted for more than 2-3years. I assured them that mine was going to be different, and indeed mine was different
It’s been 7years and still counting, and my house is still in a perfect condition, not even a crack on the wall. All because I used quality and standard materials, I also ensured my workers were professionals. That was the secret to my house as people continue asking.
To crown it all I used Emilinks furniture for all necessary part which needed furniture and that made my building stand out.
Using good materials for building makes your building last long, improves the look of your environment, brings good health, saves lives and reduces expenses in future.

Eventually, they completed their houses and both moved in
As time went by,Mr kofo started experiencing problems ranging from leaking roofs, termites infestations, cracked walls to mention a few.Unlike Mr.

That night everyone went to bed sad. My dad had earlier received a call that his building collapsed suddenly. The next morning we all went to the building site and saw it in ruins. An investigation was carried out and it turned out that the building collapsed as a result of poor building materials. My dad felt heart broken and betrayed because he had already given the contractor the amount of money needed to buy good equipment and the contract bought cheap poor ones instead. The contractor was arrested for fraud. But my dad also thanked God anyway because no life was lost. When building, always make sure to get the best materials because bad buildings may collapse and kill people. #MyDoorStory #Emilinks‎

Everytime i remember this experience, it brings tears to my eyes. I can’t stop crying. Some few weeks back i and my best friend tunde went home after rehearsals.Tunde lives next to my house away from mine, this fateful day rain fell and it was heavy as usual everyone hid in their houses, little did he know he was hiding in the shadows of death, suddenly i heard a loud noise gbam, was that a bomb, everyone rushed out to see what happened.lo and behold, tunde’s house had collapsed.I was shocked,i almost ran mad.people shouted as everyone ran towards the house,no one even cared about the rain again.4 people died that day including tunde and his mum.It was a big loss to the community, only his dad and younger sister survived.Their wicked landlord used substandard materials to build the house, just to save cost and it cost 4 people’s lives,it was not worth it at all. When he was building the house, the contractor warned him to use quality, but he did not bulge because he wanted to save money. My family was lucky we built our house with standard and quality materials.we used #emilinks.Part of the building collapsed on our own house but it did not affect it,because #emilinks got us covered
A lot of people tend to compromise when it comes to building houses, they just mix the cement wrongly and use poor materials.Organisations in charge of housing and standard practises should take note.#emilinks has taken a stand to use quality, its time others did same.
This will reduce the incidence of collapse, domestic accidents, theft, poor hygiene and so many other things. We all need to work together and fight substandard materials to ensure our safety because we never can tell when the worst will happen. But with quality materials such as #emilinks you are sure you and your family are safe and secure. #emilinks is a global maufacturer of world class finishings and furnishings such as beds, shelves, roofs, doors etc. Because i choose to be safe, sound and secure, i choose #emilinks.

When growing up, there was this beautiful building that was in my neighborhood. It has been there for a very long time without collapsing or getting old. I had always wondered how the building managed to remain that way. Out of curiosity I approached the owner. I was pissed off because termites were feasting on my clothes. My dad was so angry,he saw nO reason why newly built house will be having wide holes around the walls. I too wondered how a house we just moved in two months ago will be cracking. It was a tragedy for the family. My dad had been dupped, he was supplied fake materials When he was building our house. The demerits or disadvantages of using Substandard materials while building cannot be over emphasized… The damages the use of Substandard materials has caused are too numerous to mention. My cousin has an everlasting scar on her back because of a Substandard wardrobe that was installed in the house… You could detect the wardrobe was fake by simply looking at the wardrobe, the wardrobe had sharp edges and would cut you if care if not taken! On a Saturday afternoon about 2yrs ago, my cousin, Steph, was in her room, she was busy arranging her room and she opened the wardrobe door to keep clothes, mistakenly, some feel down, so she bent over to pick them up as she was standing up, the wardrobe door shifted and she pushed her back to the sharp corner of the wardrobe! The wardrobe pierced her back and the result of that is the scar on her back… We thank God it wasn’t worse than that, but the situation would have completely be avoided if only the wardrobe was a quality wardrobe like dat made by Emilinks. It is better to use quality materials and save yourself the stress and pains of having scars for the rest of your life. #Emilinks #MyDoorStory

My uncle have been saving money all through his life, he is 62 now. He has been living on a very stringent budget. The only thing that took away his money was the bank. In fact, his wife left him mostly because of saving, saving money. They resorted to eating meat on the scale. Nobody wanted to go for holiday in my uncle’s house. When ever we ask my uncle what does the wants to do with the money he will say he wants to build a big house, he wants to be a landlord, build hostels. Uncle got building, rushing to start being referred to as landlord. He however had major mistake, he didn’t know about Emilinks furniture. Too bad right. My uncle because of too much saving of money and living on a scale, thought that even building a house could be managed, being the kind of person he is even the contractor he hired was also a quack, he promised my uncle a beautiful building on a small budget. How on earth Biko! The contractor finished the building with minus sub-standard materials and painted it with colourful and beautiful paint. The paint gave the sub-standard building a boost. My uncle was very proud, but could the house stand? Tenants came on, paid for the house and uncle was now a landlord. But it took only a normal rainfall that fell half of the day to reveal that the contractor USED sub-standard materials to build, thank God most of the tenants were away at work, though unfortunately two people lost their lives, my uncle was back to zero, he couldn’t cry, talk, he felt like going mad, all my life just went away like that, oh, if only I knew about Emilinks, if only I used standard materials, my wife would love me again, I will still remain a landlord, the government seized the land, my uncle, well it is inexplicable. I feel for him though, the contractor met his end that time. Please its worth it, use standard materials, use Emilinks, to remain a house owner, a landlord, and a proud man, use Emilinks and be safe. I acquired a piece of land in a water logged area, but I am not suffering like others are because I made sure I used quality materials… When the rains come, my neighbours would sometimes pack some of their properties to my place to protect them from the water! Mmm, Substandard materials are terrible! It’s been 10yrs now, and my building is still standing… Some desert their homes during raining season and come back during dry season. My uncle built his house on substandard materials, he always sort a way to do things the cheaper way, not long after he he loads this job, that made him worse, when I went to live with him, there was always something to fix in the house, it was either the door, ceiling, or trying to fill up a rat hole, I was used to hearing his wife telling to renovate the house but I guess he had more important thing to do with money, during the outbreak of laser fever, one of his sons was affected, in fact compared to the number and frequency of rats running around the house it was a miracle only one person was affected, after the challenge it dawn on him that he had to renovate the house in other to fight the rodents, there was so much to repair and he didn’t have enough money left, he had to leave the house to rent a two bedroom flat, it was a very difficult time for them, he swore never to use substandard materials when it comes to housing as he learnt his lesson the hard way. #Emilikns #MyDoorStory #Day 27

My dad and his brother both bought parcels of land at the same time. it took dad 4 years to complete our house, while my uncle spent hearty a year building it.
when we complained, dad would reply by saying : “you don’t rush greatness. Better safe than sorry.”
Couple of months after my uncle moved in his house collapsed after series of heavy rainfall.
When I asked dad the cause he said Uncle used low quality materials. And that’s what he was taking so much time to built the house.

I don’t understand people O. Build quality house thought expensive, nba! They would built low quality houses with poor materials all in the name of saving cost. Later The would say they covered with the blood of jesus?
it’s no news times are hard, money is scarce. But what is worth doing at all is with doing well.
My neighbor was in so much haste to built his house and become a landlord he cut costs as much as possible. He thought he was wise.
Now he’s lost both his house as it was sealed and almost lost his life when the building collapsed.
Let us learn. There’s nothing like a house build on a solid foundation. A house build with quality materials.
My neighbor has learnt the hard way. You don’t have to wait to learn the hard way.

Just a day before yesterday in my street , there was heavy rainfall, heavy wind i must say, my street is a new site, there was new new sets of classy houses but yesterday every house there faced a 3 hour heavy rail and wind, let me say yesterday proved as an examination day for those house to test among themselves which one that was built with standard or substandard materials,
As it was raining a lot happened i was viewing from window i saw people running ecter scepter. Immediately it stopped raining i step out of my house , i feel saddened based on the rate of damaged caused as a result of making use of substandard material when building a house , and mostly those affected now were in disarray because they were confused.
My own house was not affected, i feel so lucky not only by the grace of God but also because the house was built with standard materials. Roofs of many houses were removed by the heavy wind some parts of those houses even collapsed, and people begin to cry counting on there losses which could have not happened had it been the houses were built with standard materials,
But my house and other ones that were built with sets of standard materials there roofing’s remained unshakable for the winds all i am hearing though my window when it was still raining is vum vuuuu vum vum vuuu vum as the wind blows,
I am able to write this am writing now only because i was save and not a victim to the havoc that happened yesterday as a result of standard materials used in building the house i lived and as well God grace, but there is a say that heaven helps those who helped themselves, which i may relate to the wise use of standard materials at the start to the end of the house in which i lived.
I don”t need to worry whenever it seems like raining. It was once stated by my father that a properly planned things prevents poor performances, In which i rewrite it as follows:-

*1. A properly planned house built with standard materials will prevent one from unscheduled house reparation expenses or a sudden house collapse.
    *2. A non properly
house built with substandard materials will give to the owners and the inhabitant sorrows upon sorrows, backwardness even sudden death that may come from houses collapse e.t.c,
It is good having a house that gives one rest of minds with a secured doors and furniture”s exactly that of #Emilinks.
For house finishing and furnitures Emilinks is the best correct answer

I can never forget how she ran inside my house shouting, “Please help me! please help me! my house is collapsing”. Mama Abigail had just moved into the her new building not quite long. “Is collapsing?” I asked her. I needed no answer to my question because I could tell by the look on her face that she was not joking. I ran out of my house heading towards the building that was literally falling apart. She ran along side with me. But as soon as we got close to the building, we halted all at once because it dawn on us that if we move any closer, we would be history. I never knew that it was not a blockbuster movie but that the falling blocks will literally burst my head open.

Thank God Mama Abigail was home alone and was outside washing her children’s wears when the building started collapsing. Her husband was off for work and the kids were in school. God is really merciful. Papa Abigail invested so much in that building and even took a loan to complete the building. How can he cope with paying for a house rent and also servicing his unfortunate indebtedness.

Some persons were saying that Papa Abigail was bewitched from his village but nothing could be further from the truth. The house was constructed with substandard materials. We need to stop blaming witches and the devil for what they are innocent of. Africans love blaming witches. See, even a witch can testify that Emilinks produces good quality material and cannot even conspire to collapse a building that has a touch of Emilinks’s materials. Please let’s help ourselves by hooking up with Emilinks and stop blaming witches.

I feel for him though, the contractor met his end that time. Please its worth it, use standard materials, use Emilinks, to remain a house owner, a landlord, and a proud man, use Emilinks and be safe. #Emilinks #MyDoorStory Day27

    My story goes this way

    Nothing goes for Nothing

Building a house is of two ways
is either you choose building with

    STANDARD OR SUB-STANDARD

    But substandard houses has become
    what we experience this days,
with God way of doing things
i will declare as follows, that God
had seen that the havoc cause due
to the use of substandard materials
    majorly affects the innocents ones
    innocent ones fall victim
and he has raised #Emilinks as the
    rescuer.

    Those that build with standard
materials live in peace without been
    troubled that sudden fault like
    damaged doors, broken wall,
    broken ceilings or building collapse
    may occur

    While

    Those that built with substandard
materials lives in sorrows and they
were victims of sudden faults like
    damaged doors, broken wall,
    broken ceilings or building collapse.

Nothing is as good as making standard
materials eg Emilinks ones priority when
it comes to having a standard house
equipped with standard finishes and furniture’s.

    DAY 27
Short cut indeed cuts you short.. When my father was building he thought it was wise to purchase the cheaper cables to wire the house. Eventually when we packed in we had barely spent a month when our lights went out and we couldn’t place the fault. Every thing was checked and still no light even with the generator there was still no light. Then one day our electrician climed into the ceiling to check the connections only to realize that the wires had completely been fried. It was then that he told my dad that he had bought the inferior quality. My dad had to rewire the whole building again and he spent much more than he is would have spent if he bought quality cables from the onset. I have told him that from now henceforth if it is not an Emilinks product he should not buy.
If you build with substandard products you will spend double because that product will deteriorate and you have to buy again and replace it.
I and my family have lived in our house for over six years and we have not fully completed it till now., this is because we’ve had series of episodes of having to deal Thanks to #Emilinks! #MyDoorStory @bellanaija @EmilinksNG

Day 27- The season rainy season is here already, I can see fears in my uncle’s face. He still had not repaired his broken room. I really do feel for him My Uncle gave a carpenter to do the roofing of his house and paid him well for the service rendered. This same carpenter lobbied to be given the work of making all the doors in the house as well. My uncle being a new comer to that environment and believed everything hook line and sinker Much to his chagrin , he had only spent three months when rays of sunlight beeped through an open exposed roof. Sooner, Uncle discovered about six similar holes in the roofs . He challenged the carpenter who claimed he made his works perfect. He still blindly argued even though my uncle went ahead to show him all the doors in the house with damaged handles and already rusty hinges. None of the doors in his house closes , and I don’t like to spend so much time there because we always woke up with broom and Parker in our hands to drain water away from the drenched sitting room. At night , we were constant hosts of mosquitoes as they drunk our blood with so much relish. I told him if my dad didn’t advice him or if he didn’t come to my dad for advice because his house is an irony to ours. I just hope God blesses him so that he can save a little to buy good products from #emilinks . He has endured enough and he has been made to see the difference between standard and substandard products.. #mydoorstory @bellanaijaonline

“The unwanted/ unexpected body tribal mark. I know tribal marks are meant for faces, but living in a rented apartment and having a greedy landlady that goes for cheap building materials with terrible door handles is a nightmare! All the doors in the flats has damaged handle, we even have to tell our visitors to watch out for the door handle when entering the living room. My sisters and I have all kinds of body tribal marks from trying to open the door to the bathroom, kitchen, toilet, roooms, etc before you know it the handle pierces your skin and it becomes permanent scars! All that glitters is not gold.
As a fresh graduate with a job on my hand i decided to move into a new house. With few cash in my hand i wanted a beautiful house but less expensive. After searching extensively i finally found one, I was surprised when i heard the price. After paying the rent i still had enough on me to throw a party.
Few days in, i was visited by a massive load of soldier ants. if this was a sign at the time i didn’t know. I then got a chemical to keep the ants away . Months by and am fully settled and fully relaxed.
While sleeping on a rainy night while enjoying my sleep i suddenly heard sound , i thought a bomb had exploded in my kitchen,on getting there part of the kitchen had collapsed and my sitting room was filled with water and most of my properties were damaged.
Seeing the morning light there was just one thing i regretted i should have waited patiently to get house of good quality.
Don’t just go for flashy object, check its authenticity , quality and durability . emilinks is the best when its comes to these.

    #Emilinks #MyDoorStory Day 27

I remember many years ago when Rivers State suffered from severe flooding in various parts of the states. The flooding really proved that alot of homes were truly not of standard. Some houses were brought down almost a day into the flooding. Some others took sometime. While still others took some serious hit. Ours was affected obviously but was hardly affected in any way. Our house neither fell nor cracked and best of all was that thanks to Emilinks f urnitures we had protected out house with, there was no breaking in unlike reports of looting that took place in many homes. The doors did a great job as it was so tight it surely blocked animals like snakes to come in as well as theives.
By the end of the difficult ordeal, alot of our neighbours that took shelter in other villages were surprised that nothing happened to put building like it happened to others and some of them. When they asked How it happened, we told plain and simple that it’s because of the use of standard building materials. When they enquired about how we had no easy break-in tho we noticed that there were struggles on the door, and no entry of reptiles, we told them that its no secret. It is because we use standard furniture from Emilinks. They were happy with us for making right choices. And when the water receded, they wasted no time to get Emilinks furniture installed in their homes as well.

I remember it now. Almost five weeks had passed and Queen and I, both serving corpers in Calabar, were yet to find a rented apartment. In our desperation, we very nearly fell for the ploy of fraudulent house agents. So, when Austin, a fellow corp member spoke to us about a certain safe, clean, well-situated, and newly renovated building, we wasted no time in renting one of the apartments.
Austins claims were true. A few days after settling in, our room still smelled of fresh paint. We could not comprehend how lucky we must have been. Exactly two months and a few weeks later, I returned home from church to meet my entire compound in disarray. Some of my neighbours were gathered outside, each one of them wearing furious expressions. I was simply told to go and inspect the level of damage in my room. Nothing prepared me for the sight. All the doors, ours inclusive were gone. The raid must have lasted for a while; Our appliances were stolen. It wasn’t difficult to see how they got in. One kick must have been all it took for the doors to cave in. I guess deep down, we all knew that it was only a matter of time and those doors would have yielded to anything regardless.
Only then, did I fully appreciate my fathers decision to use Emilinks doors. “Safety should never be compromised”, as he liked to put it. He always has been a strong believer in the Emilinks brand.

Eventually, they completed their houses and both moved in
As time went by,Mr kofo started experiencing problems ranging from leaking roofs, termites infestations, cracked walls to mention a few.Unlike Mr.
So get QUALITY building materials, get #Emilinks furniture and get Peace of Mind

I cant afford to leave the room open, checking the time it was 7 minutes past lecture time. Oh my God!, i screamed. On attempting to try something out the handle got off, i had to miss class that day to report to the portals and the door handle was refixed. But why changing handles frequently when you can get quality doors with original handles at a discounted price with EMILINKS. petroleum training institute minimize your expenses on repairs please contact Emilinks to fix all your doors and see the great positive difference.

Day 27.It is disheartening to See the aftermath of using substandard materials when constructing a building. Several people has been hospitalised due to nonchalant attitudes and greed of those producing these products. The law firm I work recently signed a big client and my boss decided to give the office a new look by changing the furnitures in the office. He struck a deal with a company who produces the sort of furnitures we needed and the furniture were delivered to the office. One of the cleaning agents employed to clean the office and restore the state of the office suffered a terrible accident which caused him the use of his legs for a period of time. While he was trying to replace the books in the library back on the newly acquired shelve, It collapsed on his legs and he passed out. He was immediately rushed to the hospital but damage had already been done to his legs. He was condemned to a terrible fate of not being able to walk.It is really reassuring to know that companies like Emilinks exist and they are producing affordable and reliable furnitures. #Emilinks #MyDoorStory.

Few years ago I lost a cousin due to the collapse of a building on him and his friends, They had gone into town to get lunch in a regular joint of theirs, according to eye witnesses the building had been there one minute and the next it had suddenly collapsed, the only indication being a loud noise, the building a one storey complex that housed various shops and a resturant had stood for only two years before suddenly collapsing taking about 20 lives and leaving a lot others seriously injured, there had also been property damage estimated to about 3 million worth in naira, Later investigations showed that the blocks used for the building had been mixed with too much sand which had eventually worn out leading to the building’s collapse. if standard blocks had been layed, the death of innocent citizens like my cousin and his friends could have been avoided.
Using substandard materials for building is a menace that the society can live without, it’s always better to build with good quality materials to ensure the safety of future tenants and the public in general and also your own life in cases of private residence, it is not enough to build a house, how safe is the house? , can it withstand long periods of heavy rainfall and sunshine? Get good quality materials for building and have peace of mind even in storms.Let’s join emilinks in promoting the use of safe quality materials and make the society a better and safe place.

‘@EmilinksNG #day 26 Cindy, wake up, its raining’ it was my roommate waking me up,on hearing this I immediately jumped up,’oh no,not again’I lamented, because we both knew what rain meant, it meant we had to stand vigil until the rain stopped unless ofcourse you wanted to get wet,we had a leaking roof, which always got the room wet, we also had to put up our matresses and boxes as rain usually got them wet as well, it was impossible to put buckets because there were various leaking points ,complaining to the land lady was no use as she would just find some carpenter wth cheap roofing materials that would eventually break again as was her usual style, looking at the walls you could see cracks, I usually made jokes about it falling on us one day,and the doors? They looked like they would fall at the slightest shove, infact nothing about the room we had penny pinched to rent gave us joy,the building materials used for the house were poor and it showed very well,we had already decided that no matter how bad things were we would leave that house and get a better one irrespective of the cost. it was better to get quality than quantity was our hard lesson, using standard and good materials for a house would give you peace, safety and comfort and theres no compromise for these things we’ve come to know.

I am Emmy and I writes from Edo. And through my article, I want every Nigerian know and be aware of how important and relevant it is to build with good quality materials and not substandard and look-like quality materials which are most common in our market. With that said, I know well of a government primary school project in my locality that was finely built and almost completed but will you believe me that the beautiful building project completely collapsed and sunk to the ground with roof on top the debris and the lousy contractor manoeuvred his way out and blame was on the land topography and the drizzy rain with heavy storm that day. What a complete shame because evidences showed lack of standard quality building materials. Houses are man’s dwelling place for shelter and security; and building contractors and engineers must know this and not endanger man’s life by compromising this fact via using of substandard materials so as to embezzle their purses. And also when we build in our society or have chance to build, whether be it a fine house or not a fine one, as the plan may be, we should do it with quality materials and not have the mindset of using materials that are opposite of the real thing just because of how cheap the price may be. My mommy will always say, when you do something, do it well and by application to this article, I charge every Nigerian whether poor or rich that when we build, we should do it well so as to avoid consequences of any sort. Build with quality materials and with #emilinks, it is sure….. #emilinks don open e door wide open so dat every person, poor and rich go know the essence, relevance and importance of to build with beta quality materials for market.

    Day 27
I lost my father when I was three and my uncle, an astute businessman and a landlord, took me in and cared for me. My uncle had business acumen but he sometimes took decisions that proved unwise. One of such decisions landed him in trouble. It all started when a multinational company, set up a branch in my area and recruited workers from different places. The influx of workers led to a high demand for rental apartments. All the rooms in my uncle’s two-storey building ( all fitted with Emilinks products) were rented out and the demand kept increasing, so he thought it wise to build another two-storey building. His desire to make quick money, while spending less, clouded his sense of reasoning and he went for low-grade building materials or imitations. Construction started and in a twinkling of an eye, work was completed and new tenants moved in. My uncle made a lot of money and in his greed, he always told us how much he regretted spending money on quality building materials in the past, when he could’ve gone for imitations and saved cost. Everything seemed ok until one fateful day, it rained heavily and the new building collapsed to rubble. We heard cries for help coming from the rubble but there was nothing we could do. Blood trickled from the rubble. We were petrified. We held hands and prayed while we waited for rescuers. Everbody in the building died except for two men who suffered life-threatening injuries. They got well eventually, but they will be deformed for the rest of their lives. Ironically, the other storey building that was built with high-grade materials and fitted with quality Emilinks products, stood firm like the rock of Gibraltar. My uncle was arrested, but the shady businessman that sold him fake building materials absconded. He was arraigned, found guilty and given a lengthy jail time. The last time I visited him in jail, he seemed contrite and he told me to always follow the principle of EMILINKS. When I asked him what he meant, he replied:
“E = equip your buildings with durable products”
“M = make quality your watchword”
“I = imitation can sometimes be offered as original. Be discerning”
“L = learn to always go for the best”
“I = inform others about the need to build with quality products”
N = never make haste when constructing a building because more haste equals shoddy work”
    K = keep patronizing Emilinks”
S = stay focused and don’t ruin your life because of greed”

    Day 27

So i moved into this house March 2014, and in less than 2 weeks, it rained and i had licking ceiling direcly on my mattress. I complained to the landlord and he got angry that i am suppose to be responsible for it. And i’m like “what is going on” i only moved in two weeks ago, it ain’t my fault you used substandard materials. He ended up fixing it. A licking roof was the smallest issue in that compound. My neighbors had broken doors, etc. I later found out the owner gives good money to the contractor but he just goes to get cheap and substandard ,aterials. A word to all the land owners – Be sure to monitor closely what kind of materials is being used for your building. That way you can be sure they are buying quality and durable materials and go to bed peacefully despite any storm, heavy wind, or rainfall. #mydoorstory #emilinks

A lot of people tend to compromise when it comes to building houses, they just mix the cement wrongly and use poor materials.Organisations in charge of housing and standard practises should take note.#emilinks has taken a stand to use quality, its time others did sameThis will reduce the incidence of collapse, domestic accidents, theft, poor hygiene and so many other things. Because i choose to be safe, sound and secure, i choose #emilinks

When moving into a new place with my family I make sure I get in touch with the building contractors to ensure that our lives are not endangered in any way. I know accidents happen all the time but for my own peace of mind I need to make sure the accident was not as a result of my own negligence. Early this year,I almost leased a house still in its buiding stages, I made out time to go check on the progress of the building and inspect the materials. In the process, soon enough, I discovered how the contractor has been using very low quality materials, I confronted him o ! and he told me that if I am told to pay good money for good quality products, I will ask him if the change in the country is not affecting him and I am standing here lecturing him on high and low quality building materials. I shook my head and told him that he has a point because I realize how easy it is for people to settle for cheap things, but it doesn’t justify the risk to human lives and change or no change I cant risk the life of my family for cheap, So, I took the little money I had, bought half a plot of land in the local part of the town, built up a few rooms with Emilinks building materials, and moved in with my family. It’s not really much but whenever I hear of a collapsed building I am so confident wherever I am that my family is safe and the building is still standing because I used the best, and am at peace.#mydoor story.#emilinks..#day27

Each time i remember about my childhood day’s, When i and my parents used to rent house from one location to another, all in search of a house built with quality materials.Houses we live in is an investment we make hence my advice is to always go for quality house with strong doors to avoid criminals coming to your house and the worst memory will be for you to watch criminals rape your children in front of you,all because you did not build your house with high quality materials which Emilinks offer’s. I have been a victim hence i advice you to make the best investment plan for your future by building with Emilinks materials.

I can vividly remember that when i was in Primary 3,the place where we were living is too substandard and even the doors of our house is not strong at all and it made all of us to live in fear. My dad kept complaining to the Landlord that we are not safe at all in that house but the Landlord blamed the contractors who built the house. The doors of the rooms are too weak and just mare pushing will make the doors open hence making the whole buildings not safe. On 16th December 2005,Armed robbers came to our house and within 50minutes they have already robbed a building of 48 rooms because once the doors are pushed,it will open fastly. Oh that was the worst day in my life because i later found out that my girl friend who is our neighbour was raped that same night, A lady i was preparing to deflower has been raped and i cried and cried.

From that day, my parents made up their mind that they must build a high quality house with Emilinks materials. Glory be to God that we now live in a high quality building and we sleep without fear. My advice to you all is to always go for quality building when looking for a house to live in and build your house with Emilinks materials if you don’t want stories that touch the heart. #Emilinks #Mydoorstory #Day27

Building with Quality materials leads to peace of mind

few years ago at ughelli, A man received his share of contributions in a cooperative society and wanted to build a duplex in a plot of land he inherited from his father. He boasted about wanting his building to be a legacy, dwarfing his father’s bungalow which was nearby (built with Emilinks like materials)

one would have expected him to go for quality materials and leave the job to professionals but alas he wouldn’t have any of that. He decided to supervise the building himself making sure 60 blocks were made from one bag of cement and everyother materials were purchased by him

what a miser. in my own opinion, the blocks were as white as snow and could have been used to measure one’s purity. The rods were very thin, the decking as thick as leaf.

For what shall it profit man if he uses fake materials to build his house and it collapse? Three months into construction, the house collapse leaving a legacy:( of waste that serves as a deterrent to others ) which he so much wanted

His father’s house which was built with quality materials is still standing and I bet everytime he time he enters the compound and see the waste sneering at him, he would wish he had used quality materials which would have given him peace of mind

My dad is a building contractor and as the first son of the family, whenever he has a building project, I go with him to the site.My dad is known for been a man of principles and this he took into his job.He goes for the best when constructing a building. From the woods to the blocks to the mixture of the sand and cement(not using more SAND than the CEMENT to keep money in his pocket). There are a whole lot of gifts from his clients in the house showing appreciation for a work well done. The use of good building materials for the construction of a house cannot be overemphasized. The house remains for years, from generation to generation. Stories of collapsed buildings do not come from buildings that were built with quality materials but from those built with cheap materials.A house built with good materials feels like a safe haven and you are certain of protection when you have doors like EMILINKS in the house too even though we know God is the ultimate giver of protection. You want that house to be seen by your CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN then use quality building materials and some of these can be gotten from Emilinks.Thank you Emilinks.

We all know that houses built with quality materials cannot be compared with those built with inferior materials. These materials may be more expensive but they are worth it because they help build secure houses. You don’t get to see cracked walls, leaking roofs, windows eaten by termites and the rest. And most importantly Emilinks produces furniture that gives a house further protection. Their doors are the best one can possibly get.If you want that house to be seen by more generations to come, use quality materials like those of Emilinks and you won’t regret it.Thank you Emilinks.

No amount of money is worth putting human lives on the line. Mr.Johnson – my employer – is one of the few decent men I know. He is very wealthy and well respected too. I was to oversee the building of his twin duplex. Mr.Johnson being the decent man that he is, insisted on the best; he said all the materials used must be Emilinks materials. As the work progressed on the first duplex, he was constantly on the site inspecting the materials and efficiency of the workers, but just before we had to start work on the second duplex, he had to travel urgently, so I was left in charge and of course, I got greedy and I convinced my self that the difference in quality wasnt much,so no harm done and if I bribe the workers they will look the other way; I am sure they do that all the time.We concluded the building of the house, and the first one was sold and Mr.Johnson moved into the second duplex, six months later the building collapsed claiming the life of Mr.Johnson and his family. The blood of a family on my hands for a few million bucks, I then realized that am no better than a ritualist.#Emilinks. #mydoorstory #day 27.

If you live by the gun you surely die by it; mr Titus was a fraudulent contractor, he was always in and out of court through his connections, I watched him build his house before he moved in, it was built so fast, in fact it is one of the fastest constructions I’ve seen, and in no time he was living in it, stories had it that he had a misunderstanding with his former landlord so he was forced to make a quick alternative, but his fraudulent way of life pushed him solely to use substandard materials even in his own house, and in no time he moved in with his family, it wasn’t long after he moved in that the tragedy happened, one morning we all woke up to hear the tragic news that mr Titus was dead, part of the walls of the master bedroom where he slept with his wife fell on him, killing him instantly and injuring his wife, later we learnt he had had complains from clients he worked for concerning the standard of the work he carried out, but he didn’t change, the house he built was purely substandard but he never cared he was in a hurry but that isn’t an excuse, now it has claimed his life, what a way to learn! His family couldn’t continue living there, they had to pack, now they are back to square one living in a rented house again. #Emilinks #MyDoorStory #Day 27

#day 27

Currently, our currency is worth 400units of the dollar. Majority of Nigerians can’t afford to pay for imported products anymore. Nigeria is a country with a lot of forests and uncultivated land but because of out lousy attitudes we leave our natural endowment in search of greener pasture abroad. Emilinks is not just a business but a revolution and also a movement to challenge and serve as an eye opener to all Nigerians that we need to be totally dependent on what we have. Emilinks is our own. Emilinks is a leading example on how one can turn raw materials to quality products and sell them at a cheaper rate than imported products.

Have you not read heart breaking stories since this competition began? That if you have been following the competition. You can’t risk staying in a building constructed with substandard materials. Don’t risk construction your house with bad and counterfeit materials because of the present state of the economy. Day 27
I remember that fateful day in my former house when we all went to church and it was raining. We kept staring at each other, there was nothing we could do. The rain kept pouring and pouring, we stayed till the rain stopped and went home, prior to that Sunday, mum had called the landlord to complain of the leaking roof though on that day, it didn’t rain that much so we kept a pail in the sitting room for the water to collect the water. When we got home, my laptop I was using for my project, the sound system, the chairs, some other home appliances were all drenched. We scooped water for a over an hour and had the door opened almost throughout the day. As we needed the door open unfortunately opened the door to rats who did terror in our kitchen. That day, my mum concluded that after the rent expired we would have to leave the house to a better place and yes we got a good house. The landlord has great taste, we were privileged to have @Emilinks door, a quality roof, beautiful Emilinks Wardrobe. Now, we go out and are assured that our properties are safe and whole.

The relationship between the buildings in this picture is that they are all drawn with the same ink, so you can not tell what grade of materials they were constructed with.
We are real people and we live in a real world and a building’s integrity depends on the standard of the materials used. Think smart, build smart.

The influx of substandard materials into the market is worrisome.it seems to have saturated the market. The first source of concern for every builder should be material quality and sustainability.it is appalling and thought provoking how a newly built structure undergoes repair and maintenance only few weeks after being built. Buildings are meant to be long term investments however these days caution has been thrown to the wind with the use of substandard materials which do not sustain buildings.Houses that were built back in the day cannot be compared with what you see these days because materials used then were of high quality.what is more disturbing is the fact that even when a builder decides to use high quality materials he is still short changed.
It is therefore advisable to hand over your project to a contractor that is trustworthy and also carry out proper research before going to the market because there is only a thin line between fakes and original.
The use of substandard materials are partly and in some cases wholly responsible for the high incident of building collapse in the country.it can also lead to various cases of structural deformation some buildings experience within a short period of time like cracked walls, leaking roofs and susceptibility to flooding.
Invariably the use of substandard materials cannot lead to the sustainability of any building, such buildings will likely not be standing in years to come.
Standard building materials help sustain your building for a lifetime and improves the value of your building.Don’t just build to save cost, build to make your
    a worthy investment.

‘@EmilinksNG #day 27 Cindy, wake up, its raining’ it was my roommate waking me up,on hearing this I immediately jumped up,’oh no,not again’I lamented, because we both knew what rain meant, it meant we had to stand vigil until the rain stopped unless ofcourse you wanted to get wet,we had a leaking roof, which always got the room wet, we also had to put up our matresses and boxes as rain usually got them wet as well, it was impossible to put buckets because there were various leaking points ,complaining to the land lady was no use as she would just find some carpenter wth cheap roofing materials that would eventually break again as was her usual style, looking at the walls you could see cracks, I usually made jokes about it falling on us one day,and the doors? They looked like they would fall at the slightest shove, infact nothing about the room we had penny pinched to rent gave us joy,the building materials used for the house were poor and it showed very well,we had already decided that no matter how bad things were we would leave that house and get a better one irrespective of the cost. it was better to get quality than quantity was our hard lesson, using standard and good materials for a house would give you peace, safety and comfort and theres no compromise for these things we’ve come to know.

“Ayomide, Iremide, common enter the car you are late for school”. ‘Mummy you’ve passed Jason’s house’. She quickly made a u-turn and picked up Jason, who is in the same class with the twin. And so, Mrs Mark dropped the children at school and zoomed off to work.

It was 3:30pm, the alarm bell from her phone reminded her it was time to pick up the children from school. Hurriedly, she abandoned what she was doing on the computer, picked her phone and handbag and ran to the car. Oh my God, she thought, “hope I’ll make it on time, the school is some distance from the office” she murmured.

“Please officer, forgive me for beating the traffic light, am late to pick up my 4 year old twins, they are all we’ve got, and it took us 8 years to have them. My husband will not forgive me if anything happens to them. Please officer is way passed their closing time. I have to pick up my twins”. She was cautioned and was advised to drive safely.
Is there a cultural display at the school today she thought? All she can see are; a large crowd- lots of people jumping and falling on the ground- Ambulance- Fire service- Police & Civil defense- Drilling machine- First aid boxes- (Emergency dispatch team she thought… was there a fight?). THE SCHOOL BUILDING IS GONE! she just realised, “Where is the school building?” She screamed. ‘Madam, the school building collapsed this morning and the children and their teachers have been buried alive for over 4 hours now, are your children in this school?’ “Nooooo” she shouted, “my twins! this cannot be real! the school building cannot collapse! Ayomide! Iremide!! Ayomide!!!!!!!!
This is just one of the many gory tales of building collapse, going by the frequency that have become common in our society today, it is highly important that those who want to build their own houses either for personal or business purposes should be sure that they are using quality building materials throughout the process.

The first step you should take to ensure that you contractor or builder uses high-quality material is to do some research. Make sure that your contractor and their team has extensive experience in constructing the type of home you’re looking to build. Ask if you can visit some completed projects and get a feel for the quality of materials and workmanship used in those homes.

Using quality building materials whether or not they are green certified or energy efficient is essential for your long term investment and safety. There are many green products on the market today that are both beautiful and functional. Many green products that are environmentally friendly are also energy efficient in your home making your initial investment pay off in the long term.

For building materials like Doors and Windows, it is especially important to choose a high quality product like Emilinks. You know Windows stream in ultraviolet light into your home, which can fade flooring and furniture. By choosing an energy efficient window, you can block out some of the harmful rays and at the same time, the quality of the windows will help reduce heat loss in the winter and keep in cooler air in the summer.
The wood used in the framing of your new infill home and doors is another important consideration. Using properly treated wood products such as BluWood can prevent fungus, mold and wood ingesting pest infestations. That is why I would always recommend Emilinks product. They are the number ONE company to reach out to when in need of superior quality mentioned above. You know when you use Emilinks, not only are you using a superior building material, but you are also protecting your health and safety.

    Day 27

I believe i have a firsthand information on the terrible things that could occur as a result of using Substandard materials…
It was the last day in orientation camp(Nysc) I received my posting letter and was glad I was posted to a tertiary institution… I never knew that was the place I was going to learn a very valuable lesson from. I was posted as an assistant lecturer, so one day I had class and the course rep informed me on the venue of the lecture hall. It was the popular “UNITY HALL”. On getting there, the sight of the chairs and table was annoying, you could see fake written all over them. I eventually decided to ignore them and focus on my lecture, since it was my very first lecture.
Surprisingly and shockingly, we heard a loud thud and the building we were in, shook! My life flashed before my eyes.. My heart ran and left me. . . I was confusion personified. We were hearing screams and prayers from outside, dome students and I eventually gathered heart and mind, and slowly tip-toed outside only to find out that the stairs had fallen off, the school called a rescue team and we came down thru a ladder . It’s as horrible as it sounds. .. I was traumatized for weeks. . . The school management, brought down the whole building and started building, but this time, with quality materials! Someone eventually tod tod them of Emilinks… I’m still serving here and the new and rebranded unity hall is isaisalmost completed, u cud smell the quality materials a mile away. Thanks to Emilinks, another corper and students wouldn’t have to go thru my ordeal. Thus is my story.. I. I have of course learnt the importance of using quality materials the hard way!

Growing up in the village was terrible for me, we suffered wen it was rainy season, bcos,we had thatched roof and rain cud easily pass thru. I prayed for God to help us. Finally, My uncle decided to help us and he told us to move in with him and his family we were happy,”finally God has heard me ” dat was wat I was saying! I never knew wat was ahead of me. 3days after we arrived, I was sleeping and I felt something cold dripping on me, I sprang up in shock and discovered the room was leaking! Oh no, not again! I said to myself. . . I tot I had some spiritual problem, to make everything worse, the kitchen door fell and make a loud noise, lo and behold, there was a Crack in the kitchen wall too.
My aunty on hearing everything, told my mum and I to come stay with her instead… It’s been 4yrs now and I sleep peacefully without having to wake up at night… I can see the difference between quality materials and Substandard materials.
I neva want to go back to a leaking house, who nor like better thing?Choose quality materials, Use Emilinks materials… I can say dis bcos I’m currently living in a house wit Emilinks written all over it, and as such, I have forgotten the raining days. This is my story!

To many Nigerians, Civilization is a product of rural development but their mind is half baked in this ideology. It is pathetic but it is the truth. In the mediaeval era, building mud houses took time and alot of effort to complete. Every step in the building was considered crucial. Our grandparents ensured that the mud is mixed properly and when it came for roofing and fixing of doors and windows, they sort the strongest wood in the forest. they take their time to cut it into suitable and strong pieces. WHERE HAS THIS MENTALITY GONE?
These days, people no longer care what materials are used, sorting is not even part of the process anymore because they feel its faster with roadside building material stores.
Even up till now, there are houses that have lived up to a hundred years with little or no renovations but hardly in this our so called civilised state can we find a house that have stayed upto 70years and above. Those that stay for such years have most times been renovated twice every 8years.
It is not because there is no civilization but because most minds have refused to be civilised. they accept anything a d everything including substandard materials, No wonder most buildings collapse and people loose their lives in the process. It won’t cost us anything to go for quality and durable materials. EMILINKS IS ALWAYS THERE AT OUR BECK AND CALL FOR THOSE WHO ALLOW THEIR MIND TO BE CIVILIZED. because housing civilization starts with Emilinks.

Sometimes, I wonder people why people forget that wen they get Substandard materials, they end up spending more than twice the money they should have spent initially!
There’s a man who lives opposite us, I call him “oga stincoco”… He is so stingy, he refuses to pay for anything in the street. There was a day I bought something for him and #20naira change was remaining, dis man couldn’t even say I should take it. He was dat stingy!
He was building a block of stores 3houses down the road and just by looking at the materials they were using, you could tell they were fake, really Substandard! The sand was always more than the cement. Wen it was time to install doors, he didn’t get the best, Emilinks, instead he went on to buy Substandard doors that had edges like swords, as if he was going to fight a war, simply because he was stingy and he felt he was saving money …
To cut the story short, he was almost done, and and one sunny afternoon the wall of the stores fell, the doors fell too, not just that, it landed on a car that was parked beside the wall… The man ended up paying for the repair of the car, plus he had to start rebuilding all over. . . He tot he was saving money, he never knew he was going to spend double, if not triple,if only he had used quality materials, if only he had used Emilinks products… Well, it’s too late for if’s and but’s. He is starting all over. It’s not too late for u, get Emilinks.

Most people don’t build a house, they are attempting to build a house… Building with Substandard materials is attempting to build…while, building with quality materials is the true meaning of building.
Some persons build with Substandard materials and ,wen the building falls or crumbles, they start suspecting one family member, accusing the old women in their families of been witches!
I believe at this point, we all know that disadvantages of building with Substandard materials, we have all seen or heard of how Substandard materials has destroyed lives and properties…. Use quality materials, use Emilinks and stop endering people lives and property. I know of of someone who used Substandard materials and today, he has a bitter story to share.

More lies are used to cover up lies. So it its when substandard materials are used to build a house. One will continue buying such sustandard material to cover it up except wisdom is applied. To whom brain is given, sense is expected.
Mr Ajayi built his house and he cut down cost by all means. He used substandard materials and his house was completed in no time. The house was beautiful at first(evil always seems appealing but with time good and justice will always prevail)
Mr Ajayi spent money he didn’t spend on quality materials for the house warming party.
Three months after they moved into the house, it all started falling apart bit by bit. Mr Ajayi will take money and buy what he bought before. Houses are built for comfortability and and security but it wasn’t so for Mr Ajayi and his household. His windows and doors were ripping apart and in less than a year, the house was looking like a shipwreck.
I learnt alot from that experience. It wasn’t cost effective because he kept on buying the same thing over and over again. Comfortability and security was a foregone alternative because the noise that came from that house whenever its windy could disturb the neighbours and finally, he ended spending more than it cost to get quality and durable materials.

Me and my siblings always run down to his house whenever we are putting on a good attire in order to have a nice snap shot. The house is so solid that I think it will stay beautiful forever. A good house is beautiful, solid and safe. The last touch to a good house is an Emilinks door

    Day 27
If there’s one thing I love going to the airport for apart from traveling is it’s Building. It is a direct replica of my uncle’s house. The structures are outstanding, unique, innovative and exquisite. As you can see from the picture the building is made of glass. That alone protects the outsiders from the outside view. There was this heavy storm that occurred. It was so heavy that people including traders, passers bye, drivers etc had to find refuge in the building till the storm went down.A good building is strong and durable.Same goes for my uncles house, it’s like the garden of Eden. What crowns it all up are the beautiful Emilinks doors. Emilinks products always makes me to go and build a house alone. Emilinks is just the best#MyDoorStory #Emilinks‎‎‎

    #MydoorStory Day 27
I remember a time in my undergraduate years that I had to stay off campus as the hostel accommodation wasn’t up to a quarter of the admitted students. I had to live with three course mates and we got an apartment not far from school. The distance was good but we didn’t know the building was renovated with substandard materials. It started with the door knob breaking, another time the door couldn’t lock well which made us uncomfortable as some of our items were missing, we had an issue with cockroaches and rats running over the room as the door couldn’t lock properly at some point. Later that graduated into the power supply going off sometimes when others had light.
The conditions then kept getting unfavorable as our complaint to the landlord yielded no effect. We finally decided to replace the substandard door with Quality, I mean @Emilinks to secure our lives and properties For the remaining time we had to stay. It worked out for us even though the light problem didn’t disappear, we were guaranteed of our security and safety.

Day 27 #Emilinks#my door story. I was probably about 12 years of age when my dad started building our house and i remember travelling to the village for holiday.my mum told her dad(my granddad) about the development.he was do happy that he called my dad and advised him on how to go about it,especially on the need to work closely with his contractor to ensure that he isn’t duped or getting anything less than what he is paying for.my dad being the ever carefree person felt my grandad was being too suspicious and critical of everyone and threw caution to the wind.in a little over a year, the house got completed and we moved in.Barely six months later the house started crumbling, the plumbing system was a hot mess, the wooden doors started having holes and melting like dust on the floor, whenever it rains,it pours into the house.my mum was so upset she promised to tell my grandad.my dad traveled to the village with a bottle of wine to report himself before he hears it from my mum .we had to move into my uncle’s house for another six months to enable renovations to take place..Wasted time, effort and money.if only durable quality materials were used.if only EMILINKS came any sooner we would not have had “magic doors” as my younger sisters called the doors.well thanks to EMILINKS, i won’t have to report my husband to my father or make my kids go through what i went through..#lesson learned #

    Story story ooo!.. Story
    Once upon a time….. Time,time.
There was once an old woman in the town of gegese, this woman suffered for years trying to cater and send her only son to school. Her son finally graduated from the university and secure a job in an English speaking country paying him handsomely. Few months pass by and with so much money in his hand he decided to build his mama a house for her comfort. To surprise his mum he contacted an agent secretly to build a two storey building for his mum with the best quality out there because his mum is the best.
While building the house the agent thought to himself “let me save some money for myself”. After receiving all the money required for the house, he built the ground floor and second floor with quality materials guessing the owner will be staying on either of the floors and built the first floor with substandard materials.
After completion of the house in a few months this caring son came home and took her mum to this new house as a surprise. Mama couldnt stop her tears and prayer for such a wonderful gift.
In a hurry to travel back to resume work he moved his mum to the new house. Months passed by and he receive a disturbing call that his mother is lying on a bed in some hospital that her building collapsed and mama developed a stroke due to a heart attack from the shock. He boarded the next flight home to see his mum. Curious he got another agent to check why the house collapsed only to find out one floor was made with substandard products.
Now he has sued the first agent and the case is still on in court as of today
MORAL OF THE LESSON:stay true in whatever you do and always go for the best. #Emilinks is quality #MyDoorStory #day27 @EmilinksNG

    @Bellanaija
Looking at my school building, the thought of collapse secondary and primary schools scares me a lot, Before the renovations kicked in during Gov. Fasholas tenure I literally do pray when entering any dilapidated structures in my school, the cafeteria was nothing to write about despite the wall been consumed with smokes and crack all over the wall, we had to get there before having any meal.
Most times I had to bring my meal from home just to avoid the cafeteria. We dare not go there whenever it’s raining, our cafeteria suddenly becomes a pool. I was never rest assured by a material used for the buildings not in case of universities it sounds so rare seeing a collapse classroom or hostel. During my SSCE our invigilators had to call in the ministry of education just visit the school and see the condition of we student.

The emphasis laid then was all about using good and quality materials for building any structure, ours then was the alternative. #Emilnks #Bellanaija #Day27 #mydoorstory

    #Emilinks #MyDoorStory

    #EMILINKS #Day27 #MYDOORSTORY

When I was younger, I had this phobia that the house I lived in was about to collapse because of the inferior quality of building materials used in erecting the structure.
The ceiling was always leaking, while the door had almost fallen off its hinges.
The algae that bred on the exterior wall of the building was caused by faulty connections of the pipe.
That was back in the days when Lagos Landlords erected buildings without caring about the quality of materials used.

The door was what scared my bones stiff. Imagine being a small kid, and a door that was far bigger than you was showing signs of caving in on your small head, would you not be scared of such door?
Anytime I needed to use the door, I beckoned on my older ones to do the opening for me. Though most times, I had to weep and shed some tears before they looked my way.

The door became my arch enemy. I hated having to go through that door.
Imagine using a door that was made by a company, #EMILINKS who knew its onion, a company who prided itself for delivering quality doors, the phobia of door that had developed in me would have not had any breeding ground.

To prevent such phobia from developing in my unborn kids, I will try to use a name I can trust, #EMILINKS

Just yesterday, I learnt the importance of using quality materials the hard way. My lodge in school has a lot of cracks, holes, bad plumbing and rotten doors. We complained and complained but it fell on the deaf ears on our greedy igbo landlords. Yesterday, after my football training, I opened my door and lo and behold my door fell and because I dint expect it, I fell with it and cut my hand. I was really sad and couldn’t help buh think to myself that if it was an emilinks door, nothing like this could have happened.. An emilinks door dosent fall, it always stands and you can trust its durability. Well my landlord only apologised and promised to fix it when all these could av been prevented if he chose quality over greed at first..

What use is beauty without comfort and durability? In the past, our society has been affected by substandard building materials, a wise man once told me that a city is only as beautiful as its buildings but today I tell u,a city is only as strong as its buildings. Let’s take for instance the early century when when a city only depend on the strength of its walls for its defence. The stronger the walls, the stronger and safer the city and its inhabitants. These walls are so strong only because of standard and quality materials used for its construction. In our society today, substandard building materials have led to the collapse of many buildings. In a society where the common believe is that only the rich can afford standard building materials, the CEO emilinks, with his famous “operation eradicate substandard building materials”,has helped in all most extinction of substandard materials from our markets, and he also made materials such as doors, wardrobes, furniture and all sorts of finishes very affordable for everyone. In his magnanimity,he slashed the prices of this materials so all can enjoy comfort, strength, beauty and durability. Emilinks has made the dream of owning a comfortable and durable homes by average Nigerians possible. God bless emilinks. God bless Nigeria. Day 27 #emilinks #mydoorstory

Am an Architecture student of federal polytechnic Nekede,I was recently one of the lucky students selected to take part in the construction of a 500 capacity lecture hall with offices. As an Architecture student of the school, most of us took part in its construction as means of enhancing our practical knowledge. During the construction, the engineer in charge made sure all the materials used where of standard, the rector had warned before the construction that she won’t tolerate the use of substandard materials due to the horrors she witnessed in previous buildings around the school. Those buildings constructed with inferior materials never last more than three years and roofs will start pealing off,the doors damaged, the interior finishing all damaged and before 5 years the building is almost useless. So,on this building a trusted engineer was awarded the contract and he made sure all the materials used for dis building where of standard and good quality. It was really during this building that I and my fellow students heard of the emilinks brand. On one occasion, the engineer took me and one other student to Aba where he buys materials, all the doors and office furniturs he ordered where all emilinks brands, out of curiosity I asked him, sir, why are all the doors and furnitures of one brand? He replied, because emilinks have proved to be a trustworthy name in the building industry. He promptly told us that with emilinks, your building is safe guaranteed. And he has been using the brand in all his constructions since he found emilinks. Its been more than six months since the construction was completed and I went the just last week to confirm the engineer’s testimony and he is very right. Every part of that building, the doors, interiors and furnitures are all intact. Still new as if they where installed yesterday. Am convinced that this building is so beautiful and strong because it was touched by emilinks. #day27 #emilinks #mydoorstory
