Learn the Art of Surviving Office Politics at the Skills Development Workshop | Tomorrow, October 22nd
Participants at the previous edition of the Skill Development Workshop themed-Learn to manage your boss, said it was a life-changing workshop and an eye-opener for employees and individuals seeking new jobs.
It is that time of the month again when you learn another office skill that will not be taught in any graduate or professional school. Many of us have lost career opportunities because we were ‘outplayed’ by the better players of office politics.
The Skills Development Workshop is a forum where the organizers educate fresh graduates, undergraduates, new hires in organizations, job-seekers and even mid-career people who do not have sound early training in their careers on navigating the murky waters of office politics.
The Skills Acquisition Workshop has indeed been a success since inception judging by participant feedback on the modules that they trained on, which include topics like:
- Get invited to that Interview (with role plays) – facilitated by Ibanga Udofia
- Communication Skills – facilitated by Chineze Oluwatoye Gabriel
- Sales Skills that Win – facilitated by Omatsola Barrow
- Business Engagements with Big Companies –facilitated by Leostan Eke
This edition will hold on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Fuse Lounge and Event Centre, 46, Saka Tinubu Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
It gets better, for no fees but based on identified career needs, the platform provides an opportunity to be invited to facilitate a session within an organisation or professional interest groups.
The brain behind The Skills Development Workshop, Harold Nwariaku, a core professional decided to provide this platform, having observed a widening gap between what Nigerian Universities prepare students for in the job market, and the requirements recruiters have put in place for their employable candidates.
