It’s such a sweet feeling to eat something “bad” that is actually really good for you. Normally, meat pies are a no-no for staying fit or losing weight.

In theory, it’s okay to eat meat pies once in a while but how many of us can really cut a meat pie into two and eat only half? Not me, that’s for sure. I have absolutely no self control around meat pies (or puff puff or sausage rolls or chin chin). It’s just not my strength.

So when I embarked on a mission to create this healthy meat pie recipe, I was so serious about getting it right. Traditional meat pies are fattening because of two main ingredients – white flour and butter. My mission was to create a healthier meat pie that addressed these two troublesome ingredients.

To my absolute amazement, it actually wasn’t even that difficult. These meat pies came out beautifully golden brown. They were delicious. And, best of all, my husband gave them a 4 star rating (out of 5 stars). You have to try them if you’re on a health journey but don’t want to sacrifice all your favorite snacks.
