      @brishqueen
      You are such an instigator.
What’s the point of working hard and not enjoy your money. Linda, enjoy it to the fullest. But those who feel differently are not all haters.
I will be so scared to show anything in Nigeria though due to the lack of security. Her and many of these celebrities who post their money/status on social media must have high loaded security team.

Calm down dear… it’s not that serious. Different personalities, it is a social media world, she is not scared to show off. She is probably covered by the blood of Jesus. People hate to love her. Everyone have their opinion. What is my own if there are haters or lovers..?

You are truly a madman as your name describes you. Ovaries drying up? If Linda wants to have a baby right now, she can. She just chooses not to. I don’t understand why Nigerians are so wicked in their heart and full of jealousy but pretend on the outside.

Because of the anonymity of social media you “think” you can spew fort mental sewage into the village square. You “think” talk is cheap and that there are no consequences. Look at the laws of physics which are objective. It says for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Variants of this law applies also in chemistry and biology. Even in history man has come to see the consequences of his action. Within psychology hate has been shown to have effects on the body and mind, and its effect manifest when the body is weak at old age.

So for the likes of you and (a real nigerian) who “think” talk is cheap, indulge yourself. You sow the wind and reap the………….

    • Celestina

      December 7, 2016 at 10:58 am

Because of your name, I would rather address my response to the mentally sound on BN, not a retard.

Linda Ikeji can get pregnant and have a baby if she wants to – its just a matter of choice for her.

People, stop with this retard mentality that a woman needs a husband to achieve/become what she wants to be (in this case becoming a mother).

Yes God has standard, but God blesses who he wants to bless and you can’t really comprehend him. God didn’t stop to bless Abraham because he had Ishmael through Hagar, despite God’s promise. He didn’t stop perfect Jesus Christ from coming through David because of his ancestor Perez who was fathered by his grandfather, Judah through Tamar. Neither did he stop Jesus from having Solomon whose parents were David and bathsheba, the adulterers as Ancestor.

My point exactly is, Linda can have a child as a single mom if she so desire and God will still bless her and her baby. I think one of the reasons she hasn’t done so is because as a successful single lady, she doesn’t want to set such precedent for young aspiring girls who she is a role model to. Honestly, Linda doesn’t need a man to validate her.

This is 2016 ‘maddy’ ovaries don’t dry up no more. Even 80 year old women can have babies if they want to and have the money, and this lady right here has got loads of it, hehehehe!

      December 7, 2016 at 12:35 pm

@Madmad, that is such a vile thing to say and to think some agree with you. Ovaries drying up? My gosh what a vermin you are. Ssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhh that is me fumigating vileness, fleas out of you and you to sleep. I hope you get a second chance, wake up and repent. In the world we live in today, there are a thousand and one way to have babies. You can freeze your eggs, use surrogacy, adopt etc so, what the freaking frack are you talking about? Such meanness towards someone you do not know. Not nice at all and it speaks volume about your pedigree.

i respect Uche Pedro so much, recently i read an article about how much Uche Pedro of BN is worth, she is actually worth billions from the calculations on that article, yet she is so humble, how many people know the type of cars she drives or where she stays, she does not even show off her adorable twins, it is amazing how one spends millions on cars, bags etc and yet gives out 5 million for her empowerment programs, or dash followers recharge cards etc, then do a video to encourage them to keep trying then rub off millions again on their faces, her voltrons can insult me if they like

    • Just Saying!

Uche Pedro of BN did not only show Linda Ikeji the way to blogging business, she is also her senior colleague and role model. Uche Pedro is not only a salient billionaire but married to an equally successful husband from a distinguished Lagos family. This is exactly what Linda Ikeji is dreaming of. But she must also emulate Pedro’s sense of privacy. At least for the security of herself and her family.. Kidnapping dey town o.

Uche Pedro – I have mad respect for you as an individual.
–I like the fact that till date no one has a full picture series of your wedding.
    — I like the fact that till date most people don’t know where you, Nkechi or any of your family members live or what cars they ride. I love the mystery.
    — Neither you or Nkechi has ever given daily reports and updates of designer items you purchased or the receipts of said items. Not because you don’t have these things but because you don’t need to try too hard or prove a point to anyone.

    Keep up the good work.

:- I have been wanting to write this for a while now. There used to be quite a number of thought provoking and knowledge stimulating articles before on here however we barely see any these days. BN, I think there should be a way to balance it all. Where is Whocares, Mama Saffron (Jane Public), ,Ms. Socially Awkward, bleed blue and so many other folks. I hope you and your crew take this into consideration the coming year.

    • Bleed Blue

      December 7, 2016 at 9:33 am

      Amanda darling I’m here.

In fact I suspect we are all here…quietly here…but it’s an interesting feeling to come “home” and find that all kinds of new faces have moved in, some of whom are such good, fun additions to the family but majority of whom seem to enjoy typing severely unkind comments or stirring up tribal and gender bias.

Even “home” seems very different…no more Isio, Dr. Craig, Atoke’s Monday Morning Bants, Dooney’s Kitchen and other feel good series that touched on life’s serious subjects but with a humane angle.

Well there you go…the saying is sure…change is the only constant thing in life.

Kisses for asking after us though. Muah!

I am glad you are still here reading quietly. I forgot to mention Jscgrl. Her last comment on bn I saw made me worried. she stated she had big fibroid that came back. Wherever you are I hope you are doing very well.

One of Isio’s and one of Dr. Ayomide’s article on mental health really helped my sister. I miss reading all these write-ups.

    • Mz Socially Awkward....

      December 7, 2016 at 12:04 pm

@Bleedblue… Nwanyi oma. Sisterly and friend… you have “spoke it” very well. Iz a somewhat changed environment but for many who live outside the country (& speaking for myself specifically), this site provides a connection to what’s happening at home. And I’m personally not one to visit the other well-known Nigerian blogs… BN is where it ends for me, Naija-blog-wise, so na to enter here once in a while to chook eye inside wetin dey shele.

@Amanda, thanchu ohhhhh as you ask after we peepu. Plus, I’m with you on one of your questions – where is Whocares?? Even that article she used to submit (nne, I won’t out you but I know your regular piece 😉 ) has been absent for a minute.

Hoping everyone is keeping really well in their different spaces and platforms… & @Amanda, I got a chance to hang out with Jscgirl recently (it was a happy occasion) – will let her know you asked… God bless you! 🙂

      December 7, 2016 at 10:37 am

Wow Amanda! You brought back memories. When I used to read BN back in uni. All that is gone. Now it’s grammatical errors. And people spitting out vile words. Tribalism and all that crap. I especially miss Dr. Craig and Ms Socially Awkward. She is so intelligent and I always looked forward to her comments. Ofili too. He was a gem on BN.

    • Mz Socially Awkward....

      December 7, 2016 at 12:11 pm

Re those grammatical errors… I have a theory that Uche’s kept control of the wedding/bridal part of the site (have you noticed that those articles/stories/reports still retain the professional feel of the old BN?) and let someone else manage the rest of it… just a theory.

Nne, thanks for asking. We dey, kampe. 😀 Hoping life after Uni’s been good for you and your goals… & a lovely festive holiday lies ahead. xx

    • Nino

      December 7, 2016 at 10:50 am

Amanda this was such a poignant comment.

I miss the BN of a few years ago. We came here to be inspired. Then the ads got too much and so did the gossip, the pushing of so called celebrities(can you count how many maje/toke story there were this last three weeks?) whom I could not be bothered with., Vlogs and make up tutorials replaced the key content i loved. Now if i scroll through most articles, i only read one or two. Maybe it is a time an alternative is birthed….

I remember when i stopped reading Linda Ikeji’s blog. I found out the comments were going against my way of life, the spite and animosity was just too much. And then Linda became someone i did not recognize, after reading her blog for so many years, i watched her change and become boastful and silently egging her family on to show off for her so she does not take the heat…pushing more readership by offering money upanddan.

BN, Change does not mean you should let go of your key readership.
Do a survey, i promise we will fill it, help us help you do better next year…

      Concerned reader.

    • Amanda

      December 7, 2016 at 11:02 am

I agree with you on the survey. I think BN can still have the celebrity, wedding, gossip and entertainment part but there should also be thought provoking articles too. It’s about creating a balance. So they have something for both sides of the spectrum.

    • NK

      December 7, 2016 at 1:06 pm

I beeegi enough of BN this and that. BN is not a charity. Clicks bring the money. Your one click will not but traffic does. BN has woken up. Traffic drives adverts which in turn puts money in the pocket. You have to give people what they want. Linda understood this very early. Don’t blame the player, blame the game. Blogging is a traffic driven biz. If your articles are too intellectual, those who sleep on blogs wont bother. There are blogs for that. Most people just want to come on blogs, write rubbish and let off steam. While some write intellectually stimulating comments others can’t be bothered. Has it occurred to you that in trying to make BN a “posh”blog, some of you contribute to driving some people away? People who are afraid of making grammatical errors. On SDK, the traffic is high when even her grammar is wah.. Her bV’s make fun of each other but it is alway full of comments. But, BN is being killed by you garri soaking posh fake people like @Amanda and co. Posh comments do not put food on the table of bloggers. Traffic does.. Think Nairaland, Think LIB, LIS.

    • Amanda

      December 7, 2016 at 1:46 pm

@ NK – This has absolutely nothing to do with poshness. You are missing my point. I am saying there should be a balance. They can still have the celebrity, wedding, gossip and entertainment part but there should also be thought provoking articles too like they used to have. They hardly have those article lately. It’s about creating a balance. So they have something for both sides of the spectrum. I can’t speak for anyone but myself. Like I said in one of my comment 2 articles on this blog about mental health helped my sister. I know many people whose lives were touched with articles from Dr. Craig, Fertility Chick, Atoke, Dr. Ayomide, Ofili and so many others. Some of these articles used to have hundreds of comments. In terms of the grammatical error: As human beings we are supposed to continuously improve on ourselves. I never knew constructively correcting someone or receiving correction was a problem. Now I understand why mediocrity rules Nigeria.

    • NK

      December 7, 2016 at 2:06 pm

Do not try and be smart with me. I understood you perfectly well. Your last line is weak. Cuss if you want to nobody no you. If mediocrity thrives in Nigeria, by association you are a mediocre. Your passport is still green. No?
Maybe, tell BN to pay for articles. Word on the street is that she does not pay. Nobody likes to work for free. LIB and bloggers all over the world pay for stories. No wonder BN is always late in carrying news. That is if they are not doing “according to….”. Traffic is low on BN and even the so called stimulating articles are drying up. No one wants to waste time writing an article/post that only garner 2 comments.

    • Amanda

      December 7, 2016 at 2:27 pm

My passport isn’t green. Thanks for asking..

      December 7, 2016 at 6:57 pm

Amanda I see your point, but there are few things I don’t agree with out of all you’ve said. There is indeed balance on BN, I have seen intellectual articles, political, economic news etc. = no comments. while Toke, Linda Ikeji gossip, Toyin Aimakhu, Daddy freeze, Lillian esoro, and every other gossip = from 50 – 300 comments. It’s obvious BN is not hotspot for hot gist, that’s why they are usually not so quick to post them, but they still post anyways. I can’t deny that I’ve been blessed by the Health, Lifestyle articles I’ve seen here. Vlogs on make-up and natural hair are lifestyle, and BN should include it has the world has changed since your so-called “Uni-days”
P.S You also cannot control the fact that as more popular and successful BN gets, the commenters will include sadists and the likes. So please going back to however it used to be is not really growth, the world is evolving… so pick your BN segment. Ads are also there because Uche is not running a not-for profit business. Thank you.

    • Amanda

      December 7, 2016 at 7:09 pm

@Just Negodu – I am not Nigerian. I hope you have an amazing day. Blessings.

    • Leah

      December 8, 2016 at 10:00 am

NK your bullying behaviour is exactly what Amanda and co are talking about. What’s with the “fake posh people”? Why na? Is there online fakeness where anonymity rules? How does that even work?

Listen NK, there was a time when nobody knew anyone’s tribe on BN and there were very few hateful comments. You talk about how the commenters on other blogs make fun of each other . That’s alright na. What we’re talking about here is vulgarity and hate when commenting.
In the old days, of course people disagreed but not with the venom you see these days . nene used to be the only menace, we understood her. Then Bruno joined in, he shocked the community for a bit. Just when we were getting used to him, along came John, Paul Adeyemo, another politically bitter Nene, A Real Nigerian, Hadiza, Prince Charming and a whole load of others who seem to enjoy being behind their computers and spreading hate like confetti from their keyboards.
It’s too much abeg. Clicks or no clicks, profit or no profit, some of us will still plead with BN and BN’ers to be the light they want to see in the world. Abi na bad tin?
