It goes without saying that this year, we have been overwhelmed by dark headlines, reports of bad news almost on a daily basis: Power cuts, currency instability, insecurity.

In the midst of all this negativity, in this same year, we have also seen young Nigerians rising up to the challenge, a new breed of heroes, as beacons of hope in technology, advocacy, public service, culture, and more. They are providing solutions, building blocks of development, putting in work for a future that holds a lot more promise than the present.
