It’s a new year! We’re filled with hopes, dreams, desires and great expectations.

There’s a certain level of adrenaline rush we all seem to be pumped with, at the turn of the year. There’s renewed gusto and an “I can do all things I set my mind to do” spirit.

There’s a certain aura and excitement that fills the air as a new year kicks off.

If we take a minute to ponder, we’ll realise our hopes, dreams, desires and great expectations are really what we expect, pray for and want to get. And there’s nothing wrong with that!

The underlying question is what are you going to give? What are you offering to the world in 2017? What’s your selling point? To sell is to offer, to bring in exchange of, to give or hand over in exchange for something.

Without wanting the attention to focus on material things, the call to action is to give the world a show!

Think about it – when super star musicians are scheduled to go on a world tour or a several cities tour, they practice, plan, prepare and bring it! They are determined to give their fans an experience of a lifetime, one they won’t forget in a hurry. That is the picture….

Determine and decide in your heart of hearts; take a step back and recalibrate how you can channel your inner greatness to the world this year.

Are you planning to bring your “A” game into 2017?

There has got to be what drives you, what makes you burst out with gusto.

Plan to give the world a show irrespective of your position in the organisation, your current grades, the size of the stage or arena you’re playing in, your unemployment status or how far up the food chain you’re on.

What are you good at?

What might you be great at? At work, at home, in your business.…your hobby, your favourite pastime or what is just available at this time? Look around you again.

Ditch pride, entitlement, laziness, self-consciousness, lethargy, “anyhowness”, procrastination, anger at society, “siddon look syndrome”, pointing fingers, blaming others and loathing the nation and its leaders.

Take the bull by the horn and decide to start from where you are. Be a show stopper no matter what your calling is or where you find yourself! Today is a good day to start.

Give the world a show is a mindset. Tune in!
