Any Imam or Islamic Leader found Beating their Wives would Immediately Lose their Title – Emir of Kano, Sanusi Warns!

Speaking on Sunday during a mass wedding of 1,520 couples sponsored by the Kano state government, the Emir of the state, Muhammadu Sanusi ll, warned that any title holder found violating or beating their wives would “outrightly lose their title.”

According to Sanusi,

“You should all come back to your senses and stop these barbaric [acts] because we will not allow this to continue in Kano. I have warned all district heads, village heads, ward heads and imams to also desist from the bad habit of beating their wives and whoever among them is reported to me to have beaten up his wife, would outrightly lose his title.”

The former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, also noted that he won’t be backing down from making laws against poor men seeking to marry more than one wife. He backed up this decision by including that though the law was not meant to stop Muslims from marrying up to four wives, it regulates how a man should treat his wives and children according to the tenets of Islam.

He went on to add

“We are going meet on Wednesday this week to review the over 80 pages of the law and make the necessary adjustment before presenting it to the State House of Assembly for passage into law.

“Our people are facing serious challenges in their family affairs. We have heard series of complaints where a father forced his daughter to marry someone against her wish. We have heard so many cases where people marry additional wives while they could not feed them well, clothe them well or give them good shelter even though they have the means to do so.

“In this case, the proposed law provides that, a court of law would take something out of the man’s wealth to feed his family, give them shelter and clothes. In the event the man makes any attempt to resist the court’s directives, then the law takes necessary action against him. If you know, your salary cannot take care of more than one wife, you should not get an additional wife.”

Hey, hey small steps now. This is the beginning. I have new respect for Sanusi using his position, platform to bring positive change to the country. It’s easy to solely focus on the federal government to change but change starts from you and I, the local government, your community, church, mosque, work place etc
Do not underestimate it, it lead to bigger change.

This wimpy man again! This man is simping. Are we living in a gynocentric world now? Is it Modernity? Western culture has contaminated the traditional values of Africa..Don’t get me wrong,i don’t condone domestic violence against any gender but women should respect themselves as women. They should stop triggering/initiating violence or verbally abusing their men.Men in today’s society have not only suppressed themselves but also equalized themselves to their female counterparts. We live in a society where women want to be men.The gender role that women should cook, clean and stay home to take care of their children has changed significantly over time. Now these gender roles are not apparent in today’s society.

Men are no longer allowed to be manly.Men are loosing their masculinity and becoming wussies because of women’s right.I think the way this emir is approaching the whole thing is taking away men’s masculinity. This is the problem with today’s society.Men are taught to do everything they can to please women, even if it means giving up our manhood in the process.Look at popular phrase “happy wife, happy life”a motto held by husbands around the world. This implies that a man happiness is dependent on his wife’s happiness which makes him prone to manipulation.Women generally have powers over men now and it’s shame that most men are content with that.

Rape allegations- women are given benefit of the doubt over men nowadays because men are portrayed as filthy who rape women. It’s acceptable for a woman to hit a man but no the other way around.I was raised in a house where my father is the dominant figure and my mom being the submissive one respect my father. To clarify,i’m not a misogynist but i’m not a fan of women who try to strip me from my manhood and chastise me just because of my gender.I’m not a fan of modern day equality because it has changed pro women to anti men.

Unfortunately a lot of men are being emasculated which is why i’m asking are we living in gynocentric society.II’ll mind my own business until these simps allow women gain consciousness and realize their effort to tranquilize men do more harm than good.

Emir sir, I am a huge fan! God bless you as you make efforts to make Northern Nigeria a better place. At least, someone is working unlike some leaders in the South.
