National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Member, Olayemi Ajibola was deployed to Oyun in Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State. On getting there, he was shocked to see the state of the only Health Centre in the area.

“You could see the sky from the lobby of the PHC,” Olayemi wrote on Twitter.

He made up his mind to renovate the facility, took it as his personal Community Development Service (CDS) project, and today the facility is way better than what it was.

Excellent!!! may you be rewarded immensely!
Question is, all these “persons” that came nicely dressed for the commissioning, where were they before you did this awesome project. May you never lack a job after your NYSC.

@ Vee. See, in life, when you’ve done the right thing, you don’t bother shaming those that didn’t, as your act alone has spoken volumes. You only hope that someone has learnt from it.

Warm and sincere appreciation from a Kwara boy, Yemi. May God be with you in your future endeavours. The extent at which Nigerian polooticians neglect basic things is too sad. God should just kill all of them already so people can be better off.

Very impressive. These are the true heroes. Change starts from us too. This article should have hundred of comments. Gossip should not be the only thing generating comments. We need to change out main priorities.
Olayemi Ajibola may God bless you and reward you beyond your imagination. His grace will shine upon you.

@Sade Thanks for pointing this out. We neglect things that create huge impact and better lives and focus on trivial gossip, bad news n negativity. Kudos to this guy I feel ashamed because no matter how little we all can make a difference. Our common excuse is the govt is bad.
Meanwhile divorce and cheating or failed marriages should not be an obsession to most people as often displayed on BN. Many love negative news about others to make them feel better about their own miseries. That’s just wrong! Congrats Mr Olayemi.

You are a true leader and this is is worthy of emulation.!!!! You are doing what others are afraid to do. I believe that if we all do the same no matter how small the task seem or what field we are in, we can make a difference to make African countries better. I’m inspired!

I am beaming from ear to ear. Congratulations. Especially at this part, “even if my name fades, they will know NYSC helped them” Seriously well done.

But seeing as a corner did it… Local govt, what were you doing?

The Sarakis Kwara. Doesn’t Toyin Saraki have a healthcare foundation?

      March 13, 2017 at 9:36 pm

She does, I recall she upgraded the children’s hospital and orphanage in Kwara a long time ago. These days I see her foundation trains and deploys midwives. One of the few first lady foundations that has lived past guber tenures.

Asbestos ke? Nigerians still use asbestos to build houses? Aren’t they known to cause (lung) cancer. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Well done guys, such a noble thing to do. But there is a more fundamental question to ask ourselves. Should we leave our health facilities at the mercy of charity donations? How sustainable is this? Why should the community hospital in any be in such state of neglect? We have to organise as Nigerians and make our leaders accountable!

The Sarakis robbed Kwara state blind.

    • Jani

      March 13, 2017 at 9:17 pm

Did they? Or are you just repeating malicious false rumours? Go round Kwara, you’ll see power stations, water works, industrial farms, farm schools, a modern diagnostic centre, aviation college, community health insurance, Kwara State university, roads, all established by Saraki during his tenure as governor.you’ll even see a state of the art health Centre that Saraki’s wife brought to Eruku community in 2015 years after Saraki’s tenure as governor ended in 2011. This is 2017, 6 years after Saraki stopped being Kwara Governor, so i’m more interested in knowing what the current Governor Ahmed and his wife are doing apart from buying up America, the corper says this health center was abandoned for 2 years, the mathematics of administrative neglect does not add up to Saraki, unless you add innumeracy to malice. My two kobo.
