Senator Dino Melaye has been in the news in recent times over controversies relating to his degrees and certificates. He was summoned to appear before the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges to clear every doubt surrounding allegations towards him.
Shortly after appearing before the Senate, he released a video of him singing and dancing on Youtube in Yoruba language.
The vice-chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Ibrahim Garba, also appeared before the panel and reaffirmed Melaye as a graduate of the school.
In the video, Melaye sings in Yoruba language: Aje ku iya ni oje, ajeku iya ni o je, eni ti o to eni no, ton de na de ni, which translates as “you will be beaten mercilessly if you fight someone who is stronger than you”.
After sitting for a while, Melaye stood up to continue his song. He later on began to mock his critics.
