A photo of billionaire Aliko Dangote and a couple of friends spending the Eid-el-Fitr holiday on a yacht has been condemned by Seun Kuti on Instagram.
The photo, featuring fellow billionaire Femi Otedola, former Governor of Cross River State Donald Duke, Segun Awolowo, Tunde Ayeni, Niyi Adebayo, and Sam Nwajoku, made the rounds on social media during the holiday.
Seun Kuti, who described the businessmen as “blood suckers” said:
I see people trying to put a positive spin on this image but what I see is a group of people with a combined debt of 2.5 trillion Naira (as just released by AMCON) which is used to buy a lavish lifestyle and paid for by tax payers. How can people owe sooo much and still be allowed to keep all their luxury while the tax payers are footing the bill. Y’all can celebrate these blood suckers but I have NO LOVE!!!! #naijaresistance
See the post below:
At least someone isn’t scared to say the truth…Preach on Fam!
P.S: The worst they would say is that you get mental and we know say na lie!
Do you know why Dangote has got so much money because he works hard but not just for his self but for everyone in Nigeria to try to give something back to his people how many of you that are making these comments have pulled anything out of your pockets to help anybody and how about the one that has wrote all of this trash he doesn’t look like he’s doing bad his self .
How do you know they haven’t? So what happens when you do know that everyone who disagrees with the photo has helped others? What will you do? Making that the essence of your argument doesn’t really strengthen it
Finally ! Call a spade a spade. Thank you Seun.
Even the master pimp – Akpuruka was there. LOL! Seun Kuti always saying it as it is.
LOL! I can’t today abeg!
Always on the truth just like his father. Ekele m gi,Seun. These group of blood suckers don’t see tribes, they see blood sucking opportunities t and then bond together to grab them.Only the poor fools see tribes.
This Dangote-Otedola bromance is very suspicious. Please y’all don’t assume you know what I’m talking about o.
This is what the life a typical Nigeria has become, celebrating the same people that are the course of our suffering and pain. Fela may you continue to Rest In Peace
The oracle has spoken.
I totally agree with this dude, it’s soo annoying seeing these so called billionaires living lavish livestyles on borrowed money. They get to take humongous loans from banks n never pay back n when people ask for small amount of loans from these banks they r turned down. Ever since AMCON released names of people owing them I hv lost respect for the likes of all these people.
Say it louder for those at the back Seun.
I SEE EMPLOYERS OF LABOUR, YES…
Yes, but a good debt….not the kind of debt to show off a life style they can not afford like some of us do. A combined debt to move their country, communities and generation forward. To give some other people purpose in life. well done guys for believing in Nigeria God bless you all Dangote and friends
Tueeehhh!!!!
How come we are not reminded about their debt? I was gonna tap into their blessings first time I saw this picture but since the plan is to build a debt free health organisation, I dodge am.
The rubbish comments people post on social media tho. It even hurts more, when some other people grace such comments with supporting criticism that lack gumption.
Hundred of thousands of people in Nigeria, and maybe some other countries, won’t even have jobs, if not for some of these people.
Some of these people work hard, make clean money, get into more businesses to produce some of the things we enjoy, today, yet there are still some ungrateful bunch that will talk trash about other people’s parents/siblings/relatives.
Lavish lifestyles on money they borrowed from you?
How I wish we can channel our radicalism and youthful ego on actually doing our parts to add value to others, instead of consuming data on insulting people who are doing something.
People are eating, laughing and taking a break from work (the same thing we all do), and you have the guts to insult them. Smh
Pray for those In authority. They are humans like you. No everyone of them is corrupt.
This our generation Sef
Drops mic.
Lol think about how many jobs will be created by the ordinary man who just wants to start up that small business. Banks are biased against the average person who needs the funds. How can you give huge amounts of loans to this small amount of people?
Nigeria would be better when everyone starts getting treated equally. So I’m with Seun Kuti on this one. Debt is good but not when it’s that much and isn’t distributed fairly.
