President Buhari sends Northern Governors to South-East on "Peace Mission" - BellaNaijaPresident Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly sent governors in the Northern region to the South-Eastern part of the country in an effort to secure peace in the region.

According to The Cable, the team of governors will be lead by the chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, Kashim Shettima, and will include governors of Katsina, Aminu Masari; Sokoto, Aminu Tambuwal; Kebbi, Atiku Bagudu;and Kano Abdullahi Ganduje.

The South-East governors had on Friday proscribed the group, making their actions illegal.

what is smart about that? after killing people in such barbaric manner when he could have done this initially but ignored the initial advice of people? have you seen the article about him on huffingtonpost? he got to the US and must have been informed that the diasporans are planning a protest against him and he quickly did this move.

Although Nnamdi kanu is a nuisance and violence is NEVER the solution. Buhari takes little action when there’s criticism from the west. However, the government needs to be more pragmatic. What action needs to be taken in terms of the East feeling included? More allocation? More resources? The dialogue should be solution based not shutting their mouths. Nigeria is very marginalized and monopolized, real discussion needs to take place.

Not for one day did he make a comment on (about or against) Fulani Herdmen ravaging villages and raping in women in Igboland and Agatu village in Benue State or SouthWest or Olu Falae’ farm (who was kidnapped and recently had his farm ravaged again. God’s divine vengeance would come soon.

If you think am upset with Buhari, you need to know how I feel about south eastern leadership!
Where have they all been throughout these years of marginalization? What have they been doing when they get to the center?
How have they really impacted lives among their people, with the state allocations, since there’s no Federal presence in the east?

Why send Northern governors? Because Buhari is the president of the north?
If he is a Nigerian president, then. send
a delegate of a mix of Nigerians not Northern governors? The whole thing is tacky!
