He's under no obligation to tell anyone - Lai Mohammed on Buhari's Ailment - BellaNaija

Lai Mohammed

The Minister on Information and Culture Lai Mohammed has said that President Muhammadu Buhari is under no obligation to reveal the nature of his illness to anyone.

He said this in an interview with AFP, shortly after the return of the president from London, where he traveled to on the conclusion of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Asked when the President would reveal the nature of his ailment, he said:

I think there’s so much speculation as to what he’s been treated for.

I think we would rather respect his privacy. If Mr President feels like telling the world his ailment, so be it. I don’t think he’s under an obligation to tell anyone.

He also discussed the leader of the Indigenous People of BiafraNnamdi Kanu, saying he isn’t in the custody of the Federal Government.

Nnamdi Kanu’s house was raided by the military, with reports claiming members of his group were shot dead, and his house ransacked.

The leader of the secessionist group has since gone missing, and some members of the group allege that he was captured by the military.

But Lai Mohammed has said he wasn’t captured, but is in hiding instead.

“He’s not being captured at all,” Lai Mohammed said, adding that Kanu “crossed a line” and was in hiding.

It’s beyond pathetic. Very shameful and wicked. A president spends the country’s money on his illness, he’s in the hospital or vacation than being a president and you say the country doesn’t need to know. If the country doesn’t need to know what about he resigns then we don’t care what he does with his life.
Lai does what he knows best lying. What about all these rulers just disappear, never be seen again I’m tired of seeing their evil faces.

BN, Nnamdi Kanu is not a secessionist leader. No one has seceded yet or attempted to. No declarations of a new state have been made. They are only “agitating” at this moment.

Lie Mohammed is just what he is… Liar
They are better opposition not the ones who would take us to the promised land.
We have learnt in a terrible way that promises don’t make anything works. Neither does fighting a loopsided corruption. 2019 is just way too far. God will see us through, like he’s done before him and before the one before him

PMB PR team/ inclusive of Liar Mohammed has to one of the the most inept team ever.
A president of country ceases to be a private citizen the moment he takes the oath of office.
Nigerians are very much entitled to know what illness plagues their president since his medical trips are being funded by tax payers money..
