“One for Olu, One for Tagbo?” – Davido dedicates AFRIMMA win to late Friends

Davido has dedicated the two awards he won at the 2017 Africa Muzik Magazine Awards & Music Festival (AFRIMMA) to two of his friends – Tagbo and DJ Olu – who died days apart last week.

Davido won the biggest prize of the night, taking home both the Artist of the Year award and the Song of the Year Award for “IF.”

The singer shared a photo of the awards and wrote:

One for Olu, One for Tagbo ? ! Nothing but love , support , and positive energy came from you guys ! Thanks for you guys for keeping me motivated . This is ‘OUR’ Award. Thank you Afrimma ! Thank you Lord.

Tagbo died last Monday from a yet to be identified cause.

DJ Olu, one of Davido’s disc jockeys was found dead in his car alongside his friend Chime on Saturday.

Is that why you abandoned him in the hospital and ran away? Stop the hypocrisy and attempts to distract attention with Olu’s death. Tell us what you know about Tagbo’s death that happened in your very eyes.

If Davido had any sense at all and cared about Tagbo, he won’t attend this award out of respect for him. But no, he doesn’t care. And that is why he is using Tagbo for public relations, and sending his minions to release fake autopsy report.

Let us beware of fake unfriendly friends. If only Tagbo knew he was nothing to you. God please open our eyes to see who is real to us. I don’t even know what Tagbo was doing in your company, his late father (God bless his good soul) would never have approved of such association.

It was reported that they were all drinking. It is very possible they panicked and exercised poor judgement. I’m not here to defend anybody…

So because his friend died now, he should not go to work or do anything? How do you people come up with these things? This is why we are where we are in this country

Even in those countries you refer to, artists call off/postpone shows in case of unfortunate occurrence. Don’t allow poverty make you worship money people, that you lose your sense of judgement.

I’m hearing about some really sick drugs that do sick things. Please say no to drugs. You have a destiny ahead of you. You have greatness inside of you. Don’t kill your destiny for momentary pleasures.
