The 2017 Glamour Women of the Year Awards held last night, on Monday (November 13) at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The event was held to honor extraordinary and inspirational women from a variety of fields, including entertainment, business, sports, music, science, medicine, education and politics.

This year’s honorees include Gigi Hadid, Nicole Kidman, Solange Knowles, late night host Samantha Bee, astronaut Peggy Whitson, congresswoman Maxine Waters, Syrian refugee and education activist Muzoon Almellehan, fashion revolutionary Maria Grazia Chiuri, and Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins.

Other stars in attendance included La La Anthony, Iman, Laverne Cox, Zendaya, Tracee Ellis Ross, Serena Williams, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Drew BarrymoreZosia Mamet, director Sofia Coppola, The Daily Show‘s Jessica Williams, and Vogue‘s Anna Wintour with daughter Bee Shaffer.

    solange a very violent black woman who attacked her brother in law non stop in an elevator is being honoured with the award of woman of the year. shameful.

    society has made it okay for women to be violent towards men. a violent woman is celebrated and rewarded for her violence towards a man.
