Helping Women in Need this Season! CancerAware Nigeria donates N1 Million Naira Chemotherapy Medication to the Breast Clinic at LUTH

As part of their commitment to reducing the cancer incidence in the country, CancerAware Nigeria, a Lagos-based cancer intervention charity on Wednesday, December 13th, 2017 donated chemotherapy medication worth N1 Million Naira to The Breast Clinic of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH.

The beneficiaries of the chemotherapy medication are indigent women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and cannot afford their treatment costs. Many of the beneficiaries have already commenced treatment.

Representing the Chief Medical Director of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital at the event, was the Deputy CMAC, Adeyemo who thanked CancerAware for the generous donation to the Breast Clinic.

Wumi Alabi, Consultant Radiation and Clinical Oncologist and the Coordinator of the Breast Clinic also praised the charity for their continued support, pointing out that they had assisted many indigent patients of the clinic since the clinic began operations a little over a year ago.
