Digital Artist AyoOluwa Nihinlola celebrates “Naija Tech Revolutionaries” in Illustrated Book
Nigeria’s tech ecosystem is enjoying a boom, but there are pioneers who’ve worked hard in opening up the industry.
A digital artist AyoOluwa Nihinlola, in partnership with Techpoint.ng, published an illustrated art book celebrating these individuals. The book is titled: Naija Tech Revolutionaries.
Nihinlola says:
Naija’s Tech Revolutionaries Project is aimed to celebrate individuals that have inspired young men and women across Nigeria to strive towards building successful tech solutions, in spite of the Nigerian challenges. Some of these solutions have attracted foreign attention and in some cases, investments.
Nihinlola dedicates the project to the late Engr. Florence O. Seriki, MFR, the former Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director of Omatek Ventures Plc, the first factory to locally assemble computers in Africa, among others. Seriki passed in March, 2017.
The project features Mike Adenuga (Globacom), Funke Opeke (Main One Cable Company), Sim Shagaya (Founder, Konga.com), Mitchelle Elegbe (Interswitch), Seun Osewa (Nairaland), Bosun Tijani (CcHub), Jason Njoku (iRokotv) among others.
