EbonyLife Films releases Second Teaser for Hilarious Movie ‘Chief Daddy’

A second teaser has been released by EbonyLife Films, producers of blockbuster movies, The Wedding Party, The Wedding Party 2, and The Royal Hibiscus Hotel, for the must-see movie of the year, Chief Daddy.

The first teaser of the movie, which was recently released, garnered over 23 million views on social media; the visual generated extensive buzz suggesting that this may be the biggest Nollywood movie of the year. The movie, which features an array of Nigeria’s finest actors, is set to be released in cinemas from December 14th, 2018 with the premiere scheduled for December 2nd at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.

Chief Daddy, chronicles the life and death of Chief Beecroft, a beloved, wealthy and extremely benevolent industrialist. Played by Taiwo Obileye, Chief Beecroft is a well-known figure in the society with a large extended family, household staff and mistresses who are dependent on him.

Chief Daddy, as he is fondly called, suddenly dies leaving everyone displaced; what follows reveals enormous secrets, surprises, twists and turns. With the first teaser showing the pivotal moment chief dies, this 60-second teaser captures comedic duo, Chigul and Nedu, who play the hilarious roles of Chuchu and Jodi D, co-owners of a failing funeral business who hit the jackpot when they are contracted to coordinate the funeral. 

The dramatic comedy promises fans a laughter-filled cinema experience with a line-up of eccentric characters and an explosive storyline.

This second teaser shows another hilarious scene from the movie which is only a little peek into what this movie has to offer. Chief Daddy is not your regular  film, it is the perfect blend of comedy, suspense and drama. With the wealth of talents featured in this movie, we can promise the audience to remain captivated till the credits roll.

Chigul and Nedu are just two of the highly star-studded cast which also includes Bisola Aiyeola, Funke Akindele, Zainab Balogun, Shaffy Bello, Lepacious Bose, Ini Edo, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Linda Ejiofor, Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana Mawuli Gavor, Kate Henshaw, Ayo Lijadu, Jude ‘MI’ Abaga, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Beverly Naya, Uti Nwachukwu, Taiwo Obileye, Rachel Oniga, Beverly Osu, Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor and Joke Silva.

Chief Daddy is produced by Temidayo Abudu and Queen Martins. The story was written by Bode Asinyanbi and directed by Niyi Akinmolayan.
