The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the results of the Saturday governorship election in Kaduna State, Punch reports.

PDP agent, Jerry Ishaya stated this at the State Collation Centre saying the result did not reflect the true votes cast at the polls.

Ishaya said the party has rejected the outcome of the polls entirely. This is coming after collation of all the votes from the state where APC’s Nasir El-Rufai has won 15 of the 23 LGAs.

He explained that the party’s agents in Kaduna South, Kaduna North, Soba, Kabau, Lere and Zaria local government areas of the state told the party’s leadership that card readers were not used during the election.

Ishaya accused security agents and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of conniving to steal people’s mandate.

“We have formally written the INEC that card readers were not used in those local government areas mentioned. Our agents told us how security agents overpowered them in some areas. The results were manipulated in collaboration with the INEC, security agents,” Ishaya said.
