It is obvious that the future of the Nigerian economy, to a great extent, depends on the viability of small and medium enterprises. Yet, it is on record that only about 80% of SMEs survive their first 5 years of existence.

That is why Street Toolz, Nigeria’s leading interactive marketing and advertising agency, has concluded arrangement to host its first Small Business Day for startups and young entrepreneurs. Fundamentally, each edition of SBD would seek to fill the knowledge gap and even out the odds, taking the uniqueness of the Nigerian business environment into account in its quest to help small business owners adopt a culture of innovation and continuous integration in the lives of consumers, so as to remain relevant in an ever-changing business environment.

A free whole-day event, the event is designed to enlighten aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners on how to keep abreast of emerging trends and leverage such for business growth.  Each edition would see top experts from different sectors of the Nigerian business environment providing insights on some of the salient factors that account for the failure or success of business start-ups.

Date: Saturday, May 25th, 2019
Time: 10 am
Venue: 5C Aderibigbe Street, Maryland, Lagos

The event is open to all business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs who have their eyes on growth and are seeking ways to scale up their enterprises. Participants are, however, expected to register beforehand by visiting www.streettoolz.com and clicking ‘Small Business Day’ on the menu bar.

This edition themed “Business of the Future”, would have; Franklin Ozekhome (Founder of Tink Africa and Head of Group Strategy and Development, Insight Publicis); Olusegun Martins (Head, Growth/Digital, Jumia) Wale Adisa (Director of Operations, WorkForce Group); Shayo Imologome (CEO/Founder, Strat-Novate Consulting Limited) and a host of others as facilitators.

Participants would be free to exhibit their products during the event if they choose to. Arrangements have also been concluded to afford every participant a copy of ‘Connecting With Consumers’, a 200-page book that advances different strategies that could be adopted by Nigerian businesses to capture the hearts of their customers. Additionally, Street Toolz is partnering with iDEA, a UK based online platform that helps people develop digital, enterprise and entrepreneurship skills for free, to avail participants at the Small Business Day points that will help them win badges on the iDEA platform.

The ‘Small Business Day’ is intended to hold a couple of times every year. Register Now.
