Ovie Omo-Agege emerges Deputy Senate President

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, representing Delta Central district (APC) has emerge the Deputy Senate President.

He was elected after polling 68 votes to defeat immediate past DSP Ike Ekweremadu, representing Enugu West (PDP), who polled 37 votes.

Omo-Agege became popular in 2018 when he was alleged to have led thugs to invade the Senate and snatch the mace.

Police had said they found the mace at the Abuja City Gate a day after it was stolen.
