Femi Gbajabiamila Emerges House Speaker

Femi Gbajabiamila has been elected the Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives.

The lawmaker representing Surulere 1 Federal Constituency of Lagos (APC) defeated Umar Bago of Chanchagi Federal Constituency of Niger, to win the election.

He polled 282 votes while Bago polled 76 votes.
