Ahmed Idris Wase elected Deputy Speaker Unopposed
Ahmed Idris Wase, representing Wase Federal Constituency, Plateau, has been elected unopposed as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
After Wase was nominated, the Clerk requested for other nominations three times with the members-elect shouting “no”.
Wase was then declared Deputy Speaker unopposed.
