From remarkable goals to inspirational stories, Budweiser’s Kings of Football show is filled with thrills, laughs, good music and charming guest celebrities who come ready to spill the tea on their love for football.

Launched only few weeks ago, the show has already become the go to fix for all things LaLiga and Premier League, the only show where sports and entertainment meet, creating a bumper package of sporting goodness fit for kings and their queens.

Featuring in one of the episodes of the show was Lagos Party king, Banky W who showed a more playful side to himself as he talked about his favorite club, Arsenal, Barcelona and eventually engaged in a fantasy football match with Jimmie the entertainer.

When Jimmie and That Football Girl, Osereme Inegbenebor were not engaging in electrifying football banter, DJ Dips was thrilling viewers with back to back hits from way back when that got the co-hosts move rhythmically to the music as they seamlessly glided from one segment to the other.

The Kings of the Field segment showcased some of the best goals scored by some of the world’s greatest footballers during the past week which include Vardy of Leicester’s goal against Bournemouth, Aguero of Man City’s goal against Brighton & Hove Albion and Fernandez of Celta Vigo’s goal against Valencia amongst others.

For the Know Your King Segment, the spotlight was on our very own Wilfred Ndidi is popularly known as Teddy bear among his friends. We were ushered into the life of the star player as he revealed information about his journey not previously made public. Did you know his father was opposed to him pursuing a future in Football? His military dad must not have paid attention to footballers like Lionel Messi who in 2018 raked in a whopping 111 million dollars from the game. Yup, football is that bankable these days.

While playing in the NATH Boys Academy, one of the football clubs based in Lagos for aspiring and young talents, Ndidi got a call to represent Nigeria at the 2013 African U17 championship and like the proverbial goldfish that has no hiding place, Ndidi after only three years playing professional football scored a long range goal named the goal of the season in the Belgian league. Ndidi now plays for Leicester City as a Midfielder. He has the league’s second best tackle record.

Another fun fact about the millionaire player is that he is currently a student of De Montfort University where he intends to bag a degree in Business Management. He also wedded the love of his life, Fortune in a lavish ceremony in Nigeria earlier this year.

The show ended with BankyW sharing a personal story about how he came to love Arsenal even though his wife is a diehard Manchester United fan. The Yes/No singer has vowed to ensure that all his kids love Arsenal just as much as he does. Talking about Ian Wright, the 2nd highest scorer in Arsenal history, Banky explained he draws inspiration from the life of the man who was told no so many times but didn’t allow those setbacks stop him from achieving greatness.

Have a sneak peek of the adventures of Jimmie, BankyW, Ebuka and Simi at Manchester when they visited Old Trafford for the match between UTD and Arsenal airing on Kings of Football show, tonight, Friday by 8:30 pm on SuperSport 3 with repeat episodes across SuperSport channels between 8 am and 6 pm on Saturdays.

The Kings of Football show is the first magazine-styled football and entertainment show with gripping moments to hit your screen.
