Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge Will be Fully Cashless come January 2020

The Lekki Concession Company has put out a notice to users of the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, that starting from January 1st, 2020, it will no longer accept cash payment at the toll gate.

Several banners around the bridge state that “No more cash payment @Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge Toll Plaza, Wednesday 1st January 2020”.

A statement from their official Twitter account reads:

“From the 1st of January, 2020, we will not be receiving cash payments at the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge. Only electronic payments will be accepted. Therefore, register for your eTags or get your electronic cards or vouchers from any of our customer service centers.”

It’ll be interesting to see how this works.
