BN Red Carpet Fab: Guinness 250 Launch

We did a rundown of all that happened at the Guinness 250 launch but of course you know that the red carpet was an event of its own. Peep Bella Naija‘s Red Carpet review of all the fabulosity below:

Ebuka in a trendy black suit interviews Femi Brainard who was dressed a pinstripe suit with a gold tie and pocketsquare
Dayo from HipOnTV strikes a pose in all black
Fashion Entrepreneur Linda Ikeji in a strapless empire-waist Steve Ray dress with a bewellled bust
Goldie poses on the black carpet in outfit befitting of her name. Black mini cable dress with gold leaf motif, gold accessories and of course - her trademark golden mane
BN The Look Alumnus Solomon Sonaiya looking sharp!
Designer Ugonna Omeruo in an black asymmetrical dress teamed with black shoes and then a pop of colour from her yellow clutch
We head over to the Nollywood contingent starting with Bimbo Akintola tries the girly look in a black mini dress and black strappy shoes
Uche Jombo goes all out - sequins, crystals, satin and a mass of curls...over the top really. Beautiful smile though!

Eldee and MI in contrasting style. Eldee in a blue-gre suit with a blue silk tie while MI is a rockstar in his black jacket, yellow watch and nighttime shades

Trendy couple Funmi & Victor Okigbo were all smiles as they posed on the black carpet. Funmi in her milti-tiered black dress and Victor is his black suit!
Steve & Yetunde BabaEko went for stylishly coordinated looks. Yetunde in her belted cowlneck shift dress and Steve in his black blazer with grey trousers and all black accessories
Hauwa Mukan bucks the black and gold event theme for a colourful Jewel by Lisa dress straight off the runway
On the left is a guest at the Guinness 250 event and on the right a guest from the ThisDay R Kelly show. So who rocked it best?
Another look straight off the high street is this Ruffled tulip contrast dress by Lipsy. The Guinness 250 guest rocked it with all black accessories and sideswept hair. Almost identical to the model really!
Stephanie Okereke does the classic rerock! On the left is Steph at the Guinness 250 event and on the right is Steph at the 2009 Future Awards held in January. There is absolutely no harm in rerocking although we suggest when rerocking try different accessiries to spice up the look
This Karen Millen Gothic Rose Dress is proving to be a red carpet fave. On the left, a guest at the Guinness 250 event rocks it with all gold accessories and upswept hair while Debo at the Made Celebrity Fashion Show added a touch of colour with green sandals
This guest is all black and gold in this FCUK studded black dress. The dress was originally custom made for UK presenter Fearne Cotton but is now available for sale. So who rocked it better?

Is every naija event color coded? I am not saying this is good or bad- I’m honestly just wondering cuz from what I have seen they always have to wear a certain color at each event. Is it that I happen to always look at the color themed parties? Or is that just how they party in Naija?

and what the hell did steph do? she is suppose to be on of the biggest names in nollywood. does she not remember she is an nollywood a-lister. how can you repeat the same dress?

What is wrong with her repeating a dress bikonu? Nollywood doesn’t pay like Hollywood, nor are Nigerian designers necessarily running after these starlets to dress them for free. The dress isn’t ugly, still fits her properly and matched the theme for the evening? Should she go broke buying dresses so she doesn’t repeat an outfit or better yet whore herself to the highest bidders, so she can always have something new to wear? Abeg free the babe
i agree with Amaka cos i dont really understand why steph should repeat same dress this year on big occassion like this.Reason is cos they gave us this impression that they re stars and can do what hollywood counterparts can do even much better.so much should be expected from them.she can for sure re wear her dress but later on .whatever but it is only the eyes of a child that fears the painted devil.
do you not know what youre talking about. if you watch on youtube the video “nollywood-nigeria” it talks about how at one point stephanie was the highest paid nigerian actress. she even says how she loves to shop.
that was done back in 2005 though. but she is def not broke. she could have at least bought a beautiful simple black dress with some gold accessories and some simple black pumps and called it a night. but she chose to repeat the same dress that everyone has already seen her in, 6 months ago!

but she is a celeb in the public eye. she knows the press/cameras/paprazzi is watching her so she must be on her best. she doesnt want to become the talk of the event for repeating a dress.
or maybe she doesnt care about what people think about her repeating a dress, but all i know is that i would not wear the same thing twice if i was an A-lister. even if the dress was cheap i wouldnt wear the same thing.

Amaka abeg free the babe enh…..She is free to re-rock an outfit A-Lister or not, the only thing that she did wrong is using the same accessories and hair do. At least she should have totally changed the hair with very different accessories which gives the dress a new look.
Also, i agree with u on Omowunmi, i love her so much and she has a classic look, but she didn’t do it for me at all tonight. Still love her though!!

I feel the sentiments bout not erocking an outfit especially to t an event where you know you’ll be photographed but having said that Michelle Obama is on the world stage, her every move is watched by billions , yet she rerocks her outfit even as little as a ten day gap between.
Stephanie isnt a bigger star nor does she have the financial ability so it shows its a personal thing. I wouldnt have done that but well thats me!!!!
