Love, Life, Passion & The Price of Fame – Genevieve Nnaji opens up to Ovation for an Exclusive Interview & Photoshoot
Posted on Thursday, November 18th, 2010 at 1:36 PMBy BellaNaija.com

Just when we thought Ovation was strictly for the older folks, they grabbed a scoop that will entice the younger generation to pick up a copy of the magazine. In what can be described as her most in-depth interview ever, Superstar Nigerian actress and Face of MUD cosmetics Genevieve Nnaji sat down with Ovation’s Patience Ikpe and chatted about love, life, charity, family and so much more! Ovation also shot an exclusive photospread – for the shoot, she rocked pieces from her St. Genevieve line. Buy your copy of Ovation to read the entire interview as well as other features.
Here are quick facts and excerpts from the interview and check out the exclusive photos below:
Quick Facts
- Genevieve started her acting career at the age of eight with Ripples.
- She is hoping to hold the annual charity fashion show for her St Genevieve line in December.
- Her favourite colour is black. According to Gene, “I like white as well but, in general, I like dull colours. I’m not a bright coloured person” This explains why we see her in a lot of black on the red carpet.
- Gene considers acting as her job and designing her hobby. In terms of St Genevieve clothing production, Gene says, “I don’t cut, I don’t sew, I design. I make sketches and I have my tailors, people who cut and sew. I basically describe in the best way I can, what I want and I pick the fabric.“
Excerpts
What has been your most challenging role in a movie?
(Exhales) All of them come with their different challenges. But I would say playing the role of a blind girl in Wind of Glory was extremely challenging and I still consider it one of my favourite movies.
Do you have plans of going into producing or directing movies?
Yes obviously, I do.
Have you ever had any surgical beauty enhancements?
No. Not yet.
What does love mean to you?
Love, (exhales) well, what is love? (laughs,) love for me is when you derive joy in giving not in receiving. When you are happy loving someone and doing things for that person without asking
anything in return, that is love, genuine love.
Are you in a relationship?
In God we trust.
Any plans for marriage?
As for marriage, it’s every woman’s dream to get married. We can’t lie to ourselves. I do want to get married but overtime I have had opportunities to get married but I realise getting married is not actually the problem. The problem is finding someone you are compatible with because I’m born Catholic, I’m raised Catholic, I don’t believe in divorce. If I get married, I really want to stay married and staying married is not an easy thing. It means you are completely in tune with your partner. It means you’ve found your soul mate because you’ll have to be able to stand a lot of disappointments that would definitely come but then again you have to learn to forgive. For me, before I choose a partner I have to ask myself if this is the kind of person I would be willing to forgive no matter what when the time comes. If the answer is no, then that person is wrong for me. That person is not the person you want to get married to. If you know you can look into someone’s eyes and say yes, this is the most you can do to me. if you actually cheat on me the first time, I can find it in my heart to forgive you. If you can answer that question honestly and truthfully to yourself then you’ll know if that person is your partner or not. So compatibility is the word aside from the physical attributes that have to go with it. I need to be comfortable because I’m a woman and I’m used to a certain lifestyle.
What should your ideal man look like?
My dear, let’s not go there, I don’t want to chase market (laughs).
Any word for your fans
To all of you, for whatever reason you love me, I want you to know I appreciate it. I would not be where I am today without you obviously and as much as I come first in everything I do, I always consider you because you are a part of the decisions I make in my life.

Gbagaun!!!!
mmmmmwah! #TeamGenevieve
Tontoh Dikeh and the reset of the nollywood babes could learn a thing or two about styling from this gem. She wears the clothes the clothes dont wear her and she exudes class. I love Genny
go genny so proud of you. especially when you talked about getting married. God will give you a man that you deserve and a man that deserves you.
She looks so classy and has a good carriage. Have y’all seen Silent Scandals?

Oh yes it was steaming!!!

Love u Genny always no matter what!!! Keep on shining dear!!!
Lady has a sense of humor…nice
go gennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnny , love love love it…u look hot and amazing , always got ur back angel
muahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Really? Other than her striking good looks, I fail to see the substance in this girl. Like her friend Omotola, they have become savvy promoting themselves without any true talent. I still do not know what supports the stats given to Oprah that she is Africa’s most famous actress (that is if West Africa is considered the whole of Africa, which we know isn’t accurate). She is modern, pretty and she has smartly capitalized on what she has to advance herself…her looks. No, I am not trying to diss her, I like this about her..hey, if you have it you must use it to your benefit. But really, she is celebrated for what again??? She reminds me of her white American counterpart here, Kim Kardashian, another person we celebrate just for being what again? They even resemble each other, seriously.
Wow, that cup of bad belle you’re sipping from must be supersized. She is not famous for nothing, she actually acts. Fine she might not be the best dramatic actress in the market but she has improved over the years especially considering that most of Nollywood is full of substandard scripts. As far as her being famous in all of Africa, I don’t think that’s a fluffed statistics at all. Visit Nairobi, Cape Town or Entebbe, she’s known and loved there, sometimes on a first name basis. Even if she was just famous in Nigeria, by our population alone, she qualifies as one of the most famous actresses on the continent.
Please put the cup down and give this woman some credit.
THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SERVING THE JEALOUSY WHO EVER SHE/HE IS WITH THEIR OWN MEDICINE,,,,,,JEALOUS MAKES ONE NASTY AND STINKY
exactly the point!
completely agree with you. she is very good looking, great figure and all that. but she’s a terrible actress, and the whole oprah reference wasn’t even about her, it was about the industry, and she just happens to be one of the faces of the industry, which is sad, really. but hey, she’s gotta eat, and in today’s recession-stricken world if it pays, then you do it. i really wish nigeria would have a film industry that commands respect, rather than mere attention. senegal, and mali and many other countries around the continent, may not have the sort of exposure on the continent that nigeria does, and perhaps may not have personnel who are as attractive, but they make far better films. we don’t want that though, we just want to have celebs that we can worship and gossip about, so we can feel like we’re catching up with hollywood. enter genevieve nnaji…
Are you kidding? Gene is NOT a terrible actress she’s a brilliant actress. Compared with some of the “terrible” actresses we have in nollywood and ghana she’s fine! Haba stop the hate!
Gene? A terrible actress? Like, REALLY??? I wonder d movies u’ve been watching. Why don’t u come and act so we can see how GOOD u are.
Genevieve is very talented. She’s one of d best Nollywood has ever produced. U’re just hating. If u want to catch up with hollywood, then GO TO HOLLYWOOD!!. Stop the hate please!!!
Gurl what movies have you been watching….trust me there are bad actresses..Gene dont roll like that…
Mehn I dey fear una hatred oh. Yourself and the other hater above remind me of those people on youtube who hate Beyonce and say she can’t sing. Anyways if she was a bad actress and was capitalizing on her looks as you have alleged, why does the vast majority of Nigeria, Ghanna, South Africa etc love her. You are implying by your comment that the majority is wrong and you and your minority are right. And if those other countries you named made better movies than Nigeria, why aren’t we hearing from them? Their quality should speak for themselves judging by the fact that quality results in word of mouth and a community of followers. Your point applies in other cases but definitely not this one. How can anyone compare Kim Kardashian to Genevieve? You must be absolutely unaware of what you are on about or stupid or both. KMT.
Her acting, that is what made her popular. It was after she had spent a good while acting movies that people loved, that people began to notice her beauty. So if you want to know what it is about her, go and watch her movies. What does kim kardashian do? All she does is promote herself. Genevieve only started promoting herself recently when she realized that she was at a peak in her career…who wouldn’t? Abeg know someothing before you talk jare.
Genevieve is very pretty but does not have “striking good looks”. She is famous and being “celebrated” because she is a very smart and extemely talented actress. Both she and Omotola are not only the best in what they do, they are very ambitious and carry themselves with a lot class and that is what resonates with a lot of people.
To even compare Genevieve to Kim Kardashian who got famous from her skin colour, good looks and a sex tape shows an absolute disconnet with reality.
Wow…Oh wow…I don’t envy you at all. It must really suck to be you…Wow.
OMG! I thought it was just me! Seriously, have you really watched her movies? Her expressions are very very limited and bland (maybe not as bad as Chioma Ckukwuka, the crying actress, but bad all the same). I really struggle to see the appeal. Fair enough, she’s capitalised on her fame and popularity in the hollywood scene, but unfortunately, she won’t be able to compete internationally. I listened to a radio interview and she really did fail to impress me, perhaps it was her lack of personality or her forced sincerity, she just doesn’t do it for me.
PS. Omotola is even better!
Na waoh, I wonder what you call talent if Gene is not one. Probably you dont understand the word. Gene is very good in what she does and does it very well. She may be beautiful, but she is not the most beautiful. What actually endeared me to her is her acting prowess and not her beauty, not not at all. She is as a matter of fact known for her good acting, against all odds in Nigeria, she still comes out good. Oprah did a background work on her before picking her, she didnt just pick her. She honestly can give most of the so called hollywood actors a run for their money given the same conditions/circumstances. Please if you see what is good appreciate it. Gene is good. I watch Nigerian movies because of her. Go Genny go, let these sadists not stop you oooo.
she is being celebrated for being her, for her talent, her gr8 works to d industry ..she is blessed
Thank U oh!! She’s starting to look like Kimmy K somehow!!!
bad bad belle.. she is class as well as Omotola… why cnt u people just deal with the fact that they are stars just like hollywood have stars.. she has substance, u cnt see it cos u aint got one..
keep it up Genny, may GOD ALMIGHTY GIVE U D MAN DAT WILL ADORE U AND U WILL ADORE.
I love Genie so much when i saw her on oprah show i was really thrilled. Please keep it going,am happy for your sucess and achievements. I hate nigerian wapped movies but when it comes to you i dont miss it. Pls dont join them in taking rubbish roles in the name of acting.
This Lady jus makes me love Africa…O SO BADLY…..from outa Jamaica….Much luv & big ups to u girl……Africa could have neva been prouder <3 <3
love her. tooo much… love u love u….l
Geny babe i love ur sytle. It’s good 2 believe n urself.
I love Genevieve…but does anyone still read Ovation magazine? I thought even the old people had moved on!
Celebrating Tony Elumelu….I’m sure they had an edition celebrating Cecilia Ibru as well ( Not to suggest that Elumelu is an Anini as well…but you know what I mean).
lol…peperempe! i died @ Not to suggest that Elumelu is an Anini as well…
Love is understatement a word can’t express……
much as i want you to get married, i won’t want you to fall for the wrong man.coz wrong marriage ruin career…so be careful. God will guide us aright.
Genevieve is blessed really…..
Yeah silent scandal is something else.
Always told you the sky is ur startin point.
Surgical enhancements? “No. Not yet.” She seems honest and down to earth.
nice
well, she try, but not as u people ar talkin abt her! dnt u knw fine girl if u see one?
Her statement: “I’m born Catholic, I’m raised Catholic” does not add up.
She did not live a Catholic, having had a child out of wedlock.
Or when did she wake up to realise she was born a Catholic?
Nice shots. Would have been nicer san the sheen on her skin.
thats pretty harsh..having a child out of wedlock does not make you less of a christian or catholic..dat statement might not add up.. neither does u criticism add up.
Is she the only Catholic to have a child out of wedlock? Just so you know it is more Catholic of her to birth and raise a child instead of getting an abortion like some would have done.
PS. If only you knew her story you won’t judge her.
I love you answer!! No one is a saint, that She had her beautiful child “then” does nort make her less of better “today”
Wat da freak!…@Nubian Lady, I really hope u aren’t Catholic cos if u are, u might wanna sue whoever’s been teaching you that crap you wrote. Who made you Judge and Jury? I’ve found out that people who talk like you will likely abort and pretend to be the “holy” ones. Good girl. “Virgin”-nia. Na only u go go heaven. Leave Genny the “bad girl” for us, we like her like that.
I am a Catholic. I never make judgement on her. I made a point, as a Catholic, she was not supposed to do anything out of marriage. So that issue of pragnancy doesnot come up. Fair enough, she did not commit an abortion, that is Catholic. Point made.
A celeb should be prepared for honest comment. She should not have referred to being a Catholic to start with. And for all of you ‘free’ girls…… let your conscience judge you on fornication and adultery !!
@Nubian Lady, you said “She did not live a Catholic, having had a child out of wedlock. Or when did she wake up to realise she was born a Catholic?”…That was a direct shot at her. If she says she doesn’t believe in divorce bcos she was raised Catholic whats wrong with that? So she doesn’t have a right to “claim” Catholic bcos she had a child out of wedlock? How did her child come into the picture? You just had to bring her child into it. She made her mistake, paid the price, probably asked God for forgiveness, and God, in his infinite mercies forgave her. Knowing the God I serve (I don’t know about yours), when He forgives, He forgets. Which mean, that issue is dead and gone! It’s only mortals like you. The “real” Catholics. “Those without sin”; who’ll keep beating a dead horse. At this rate – you know being a “free” girl and all, LOL – I think I may have a better shot at Heaven than you. On a more serious note, I really do hope I see you at Heaven’s gate.*sad face*.Hypocrite.
Thank you. I fail to see the connection there. What does born Catholic have to do with finding a mate? She means Catholicism permeates every facet of her life and so her future husband has to abide by the tenets of the religion??? How is that relevant to having turned down suitors? Very pretentious if you ask me. Just say I am not married because I did not want to be and call it a day.No need for nonsensical answers. I give her props for staying in Nigeria and making it. Otherwise, she really doesn’t impress me anymore.
so bcos she is catholic means she cannot have a child or does that make her a devil ? who is perfect in d world? and btw , d child is a blessing
stop judging
love her to pieces, she is gorgeous she can act, i mean what else are we looking for?
The issue of the colour is from this site, the actual magazine doesn’t look like this.grab your copies!
On the other hand, she’s doing very well for herself and representing Nigeria and africa at large. I however don’t know what’s this gist about her on Oprah like she was really interviwed on the oprah show or am i missing something?thought she was featured,i can’t remember her apprerance or sitting beside Oprah ,correct me if i’m wrong please!!!
I really love her response to the getting married bit…very honest and very true.I learnt a thing or 2. we all need to have that approach
and she looks v.classy as usual..it is true she always has a nice carriage..I don’ do rumours
Hot!hot!!hot!!! Gene can never get it wrong well nt in my eyes anyways, cos all I’ve 4her is love-so much love &jst more love.
Genny u re d best! Exuding class&style all d way…………
I’m nt surprised dat my very 1st time of making a comment, its on Genevieve. Anything 4u gurl
Gene luv ur type of person ……other actresses shld learn 4rm U….classic lady, I am ur fan. Hp we will get 2 meet, u re really smart, luv ur talk abt marriage just hpin as times cont. Hp U won’t fall and turn out 2 b disappointing. God b wit u
And wen it comes 2 dressin u’ve got d style and sense in it keep it up
I luv Gene’s movies. To all those who seem to misunderstand her, no I wont call you a hater, but I say this to you; Gene has played bad girl, pretty girl, and village girl. Shoo, you should see her playing a village girl, nothing pretty to look at all. What am I saying to you? I’m saying she didn’t make it in the industry on her look. Her look improved with the money she made in the industry. She started promoting herself when she noticed that she has been recognized by many. If it were you, wouldn’t run high with an opportunity? Please learn to know the story behind others’ success.
Genny and Tonto Dike are people I like to watch their movies, cause I know I won’t be disappointed. Tonto Dike time is coming up soon. That girl has proven herself to me as an actress. I hope she is ready to promote herself and make more millions.
Anyways, you go Genny. Do your thing.
Genny, change you shoe closet. With the exception of the shoe she wore with the ankara, all others are ugly. I don’t care if it is the in thing. They are UGLY and wierd. She should throw them away.
Are you for real? Those shoes are hideous??? I’d like to see what you’d call pretty. Na wa o
those shoes r beautiful, haters go take a chill pill and am u’ld die to those in your closet, try and do something to be famous, nothing likes you.dumb
Abeg the shoes no be am at all………they might not be hideous but shoes 2 and 4 were quite distracting and some how out of place with her clothes.
by the way i love gennie to pieces.
Last!
LOVE AFFAIES was her 1st movie l watch and since then l have always love her and always watch her movie only. the very day l watch LOVE AFFAIES, l pause the movie for 20 min kissing her lips… Love You Sexy Boo
pretty babe yes, but are u born again .is Jesus christ in u ? bcos, its only Him dat can grant ur desires
Poor photography…..Very poor editing of the pics….
i second that
Genny i luv everything about u. pls take me home!!!
J pls..people and the way they talk rubbish..no one is forcing u to like her but to say having a child out of wedlock and being catholic doesn’t addup is just senseless..even priests make mistakes..the disciples of Jesus made mistakes..so wth are u talking about?? I’m so proud of dis babe..
Girl keep it up i love so much xxxx
Huh! A lady of substance you are. So irresistible by all men(young and Old) including myself.
Just kip up the good work, enjoy life as it come and kip bin focus.
Cheers.
Criticizing somone else’s garden doesn’t keep weeds frm urs. Mistakes are mean’t 2 b learn’t frm. Genny gal i luv ur will power. U rock.
girl i love u so much, keep it up Xxx
I like that she didn’t deny that she’ll use plastic surgery. She just say not yet. As in when the time comes, don’t count me out.
I love u so much genevive, u r real, beautiful & talented she always interprets her role well nobody meets ur mark 4 me amongs acts ur age.
Keep up & remain blesses(I know God will grant u ur desires concerning marriage)
& please ignore all d -ive stmts. U r a wonderful girl.
Do you have plans of going into producing or directing movies?
Yes obviously, I do.
What should your ideal man look like?
My dear, let’s not go there, I don’t want to chase market (laughs)
…..
…
.
Umm….ooook
Nigerian artists NEED serious coaching…I cringe every time i read these interviews.
Nice pictures! Marriage is a beautiful thing but it can mess up your life too. Sweatie, look before you leap.
Fantastic photoshop, maybe it’s MUD cosmetics or just the photographer’s chosen lighting but the pictures stand out.
@Nubian lady-Please it is more courageous to have a child out of wedlock than to abort especially at the age she was!
SMH at the way some people judge others do not judge anyone (even if they abort) God will take care of all of us.
@melon X.Genevieve is a very good actress, and she is promoting herself well too. Its not about liking or hating someone, its about appreciating that someone is good!
If y’all have to hate please do for the right reasons.
Thank you Ochella! How old was she again?…15…16…Great courage I say! Extra kudos to the parents who stuck to their beliefs and morals and let her have the baby…even though she was a baby herself. Some people just live their lives judging others, yet they wonder why the so-called “sinners” keep rising higher.
Dele Momodu, next time hire a better photographer and make up artist.
Well Done, Miss Nnaji.
You are good.
she is simply the best…….she makes things work in a beautiful way. thumb-up to all she has done, the doing and yet to. being value leads to success.
Genevieve Nnaji! What can i say?Your journey is one of an amazing tenacity and strength. You have appreciated from year to year, getting more beautiful, more talented, more enigmatic.Keep flying higher Gene.
My my my!!! This girl knows how to evoke all sorts of emotions from people and that’s y she is so damn successful. She has that in common with Angelina Jolie and Madonna. U don’t have to love them or their works, but something about them makes u want to say a word or two..especially when u “claim” not to care for them. STAR quality right there.
Genevieve has always been the one to beat. Check it out! All the new ones have been termed “the new Genevieve” never the new Omotola or anyone else, and yet u want to call her overrated?? Take a second to think about it. Pls learn to celebrate and not hate cause u will always be on the loosing end. U have been for yrs! And u still don’t get it. Oh well..life goes on for Miss Gene.
African> learn to support one another. i’m not from naija, but i love this girl to bit. she can act and carry herself very well. please be supportive, stop hating.
Thank God for creating Genevieve for our generation.
She is got class, beauty and sexy. Keep us happy all the time with your looks.
gene is a fine beauty and a fine actress too. i think she is a bit overrated but its all good.
mbabaziannet.blogspot.com
@TT,couldn’t agree more.well said man.she is simply a STAR!!!!
I agree to some extent with MelonX. I have struggled to understand the ‘big deal’ about this lady in comparison to alot of the other actresses, many of them are just good. The acting in general is the the same with most of them. Maybe its just a matter of preference, maybe not.
I suppose when people start shouting your name everyone else gets on the bandwagon just for fashion lol!
You always look cute. please keep your talent moving and keep on to your good work.
she is always looking adorable @ all time. truly u are a paragon of beauty
Appreciate God for the wonderful deeds in your life. He said His taugh towards us is of good and not of evil. God has been so good to u and also me. You are beautyful and inteligent. I thank God for your life. Keep it up.
terrible make up , pretty lady ….
Genevieve remains one of the best actresses in Nigeria,am not the biggest nollywood fan but i would gladly watch any movie she is in, she doesn’t disappoint, to compare her to talentless kim khardasian is an insult,Genevieve can ACT, end of story.
Genevieve Nnaji is my best actress so far. This woman has class. She carries herself like a lady and her sense of humor is outta this world. #TeamGenevieve for sure.
xoxo.
Nice Lady Great Actress J’adore!!!!go gurly
it doesn’t pay to hate and be jealous pple , anyway she will keep moving forward ,whether u hate her or not ..:)
kim kardashian is famous for nothing so u cant compere her to genevieve.
meanwhile i didnt like her hair or make up,didnt bring out the best in her.shes alot prettier than this,or is it photoshop?u rock genny
Is it just me? I love when Genny Smiles!! Any picture of her smiling, makes my heart warm.
My favorite picture http://cdn.bellanaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/Genevieve-Nnaji-in-Ovation-November-2010-Bella-Naija005.jpg
The one on the right, with her smiling.. Love it!
Genny, you go girl.Love you and keep on do ya thang. mmwah
Maryam honey, u will forever be confused for ur reasoning is backwards. The real question u want to be asking is what made people start to shout her name in the 1st place? Or do u think people r crazy and only u sane?? Perhaps if u research the answer to that all will be well with u.
She is not the most beautiful of the lot necessarily, she is not the fairest nor the tallest neither is she silver spoon bread. She didn’t even have the theatre training like others and to crown it all, she has a child out of wedlock..but yet, here we r!! I sincerely believe that these facts that I’ve listed is the issue a lot of u haters have. U honestly cannot start to comprehend how someone like her, who started out with nothing to fall back on to support her but her God and talent can turn out to be one of the famous people in the world; recognized by one of the most strongest people in the world (Oprah), mentioned and rated in reputable international magazines like Marie Claire abd E!weekly, and interviewed by the most powerful media house in the world, CNN. Undermine all of that by calling her overrated and over-hyped.
Yes yes, it can be a bit confusing and a lot to wrap ur head around, but then man has never been able to fully comprehend the workings of God. I think the second we all see this as the Lord’s doing and appreciate the might in his blessings, the sooner we shall also find favor in him. Just like the unexpected Gene..not to mention Chanel, Madonna, Bill Gates, Obama, (the FaceBook chap). Perhaps when we do, maybe..just maybe we can finally stop carrying out our frustrations and bitterness on the already anointed. That is exactly what HATING means! Stop hating cause u r only wasting ur time! IT WILL NOT AFFECT THEM! The only person it affects at the end of the day is u! U will only be filled with more and more hatred and bitterness when ur PHD plans fail, thereby distracting u from the necessary changes u need to implement in ur life to better it. WOMEN!! Support urselves.
Nuffsaid. A word is enough for those not in denial. || Peace!
*Bred* not bread oh! E ma gbagaun me jor! Loolll!
1st shoe YSL..2nd shoe Christian Louboutin:)
3rd shoe Dunno:(
love gene all day everyday. shes got such grace. was really impressed wen i met her, shes really humble.
yep i am from East Africa and we love her too!!
I have to comment: I love Genevieve Nnaji like yesterday, today and forever. People like her, will always attract beefs just like sugar attracts ants. Please check again, jealousy stems from deep likeness finding an outlet for expression. Go Genny, if only you will make me that man.
omg i have never seen Genevieve with so much color on her, she looked so bright and colorful, for a second i was blinded by her beauty in colors….damn never seen her glow like this….I guess there is a reason for her wearing strictly dark colors….love you Gene,
if you want to see where there are the MOST Genevieve haters – go to naijarules.com They breed over there.
While u beat ourselves up bout her looks, shoes, Catholicism etc, be informed Dat IJE: THE JOURNEY starring Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade Ekeinde will be showing in silver bird cinemas, Ghana. Spread d word!!
Genny,
The world is at your feet, I swear I can hear Hollywood calling you…
Keep it up girl!
keep on dreaming ,raz chick.gosh cant u see she looks old with a dirty skin.ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.mai self and mai course mates r all laughing at this pomade.da truth hurts.duh!!!
genny ur d best…. keep on doing wat u do best….and all d haters get a life…
she looks so blah!!!
Genevieve looks great but very greasy. Please step away from that Vaseline jar. eck!
gene is an okay actress to me but when you talk about a good actress i would pick uche jumbo….my opinion but what i dont get is why people keep over hyping her….pulease i do not see anytin special abt her 2 me she is just okay…period!
Uche Jumbo, my foot. Uche is ok, but she is nothing compared to Gene. Uche always have the same expression in all her movies. My happiness in all this is that haters like Glo,miss honesty (alias chief liar/hater)Anya, etc cannot stop her. The more u hate, the her she goes go dare to stop her with your witchcraft, u’ll all fail.
na wah o! see hates! Cant u pple just be proud of a girl living her dreams against all odds and mistakes she has made in the past. Gen babe, dnt mind the bad belles u rock!
some people are just full of -, why must u bring her child into this. Appreciate pple for once.
Am not suprised about the negative comments. We are talking about human beings here. U can never please all in this life. Everyone is bound to have haters, and my BABE is not an exception. But, who cares about what they think? If they knew what efforts and hardwork it takes one to be @ the top, they will never alter any rubbish when they see one who had made it. GENNY still remains the BEST AFRICAN ACTRESS so far. Take it or leave it!
beautiful and immensely talented..you go girl…this is just the beginning
Nigerians are very interesting people. If I am going to be honest with myself I actually always enjoy people’s different views and positions on issue, i think it’s kind of reflect our diversity and ability to see things from different perspectives. I don’t think having different views from others, qualifies someone as an hater. I kind of enyoy the comments more even most of these celebrities’ interviews. In my opinion, i think Genny is a very good actress, but don’t agree she is the best actress in Africa. She is quite intelligent and smart as well, but could be very pretentious at time,. I think its part of her strategy to projecting an image. Pls. don’t even call me a hater, cos I am not one, it is just my view. I think she look really good as well, and always exudes class. As per having a child outside wedlock, I respect and adore her greatly for that. Some many unmarried girls usually go to bed with men, and end up aborting the baby, and still come and and pretend and condemn those who are brave enough to keep their. Let’s be honest with ourselves.
