ARISE Magazine Fashion Week 2011 – Klûk CGDT

The collection presented by South African fashion design label Klûk CGDT at the 2011 ARISE Magazine Fashion Week was breathtaking.
With jazzy music playing in the background, Klûk CGDT took us on a journey through the different facets of their label – Couture, Eveningwear, Ready-to-Wear and Bridal. This was an accomplished collection by a brand that has contributed immensely to the South African fashion industry.
There was lots to love here, however, we have to admit that just like most of the guests at the runway presentation, we were totally seduced by the bridal wear. It was the crown jewel at the end of a beautiful fashion journey. Klûk CGDT won the ARISE Magazine Africa 2011 Designer of the Year award, Lifetime Achievement Award and will be part of the ARISE collective show at the New York Fashion Week in September 2011.

the bset runway collections at the 2011 ARISE FASHION WEEK yes
Yup…i thot it was LDA, but this takes the cake followed by LDA
Yup…they killed it…
I am not a fashion anaylst but what I can see is that they went with a lot of prints, gold, brown, black (earth tones) with splashes of bright colours like pink and torquoise blue, stardusts/starlight (celestial bodies) inspired patterns, lots of Japanese influence and Victorian era dresses. All blended in to form a criss-cross between cultures.
Some of the items can be worn straight off the run way and some purely for the run way. Loose/free hand cuts, not structured, flowy kinda vibe.
Lolz…Abeg, I’ll stick to my day job! Congrats to Kluk CGDT, well done.
There is also a bit of Morrocan infulence.
Agbani rocks! http://www.duvyzworld.blogspot.com/
i love the wedding gown worn by agbani and the one with a jacket…they re fabulous
Fantabulous…i looked at the collection so tay …and as i dey look, i kept dey wonder if na naija designer abi not…i was hoping it was and kabooom, it was two ridiculously talented dudes. I am impressed. I jsut feel some of our naija designers need to up their game and stop patching ankara together, calling it design. 10th graders patch ankara for school projects
Did you guys REALLY mean “nice” for these clothes? You’all must be kidding me!
