BN Red Carpet Fab: Music Meets Runway 2011
Posted on Wednesday, July 13th, 2011 at 11:04 PMBy BellaNaija.com
The Music Meets Runway event took place on Saturday 9th July 2011 at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos. If we had to choose a single word to sum up the style statements at the event, it would be “MINI”. We saw so many iterations of the “mini dress” that we basically lost count. Many did the look justice while others really should have chosen something else.
Overall it was a fabulous event for the PYTs of Lagos.
Check out BN Red Carpet Fab – The Music Meets Runway 2011 Edition.
The Boss
Le Reve Events CEO, Jennifer Olize set the style tone for the “Music Meets Runway” event which her company organized. Jennifer looked stunning as she rocked a shimmery print mini dress paired with black and gold platform sandals.
BN Picks
We love Jenitha Powell‘s look because it is glam and lush. There is something about about the blush tone of her draped ruffle dress paired with simple metallic heels.
Funke Ogunde & Lamide Shonekan deliver casual glam looks that are event appropriate and fabulous!
We love it when we see people having FUN with fashion. Yvonne “Vixen” Ekwere rocks this bold jumpsuit with a daring neckline and standout accessories.
The melange of the ankara print top crafted into a contemporary style then paired with a black mini and bright blue platform sandals creates a great look.
Wonu Odunsi‘s look creates certain “vintage pin-up” effect. Her red clutch, bold metallic earrings and platform sandals turn up the wattage on this sexy look.
Colour blocking is the IT trend of the season. We saw different attempts on the MMR Red Carpet, we loved this casual fab colour block ensemble…and the pièce de résistance? The animal print booties!
Simple and well put together!
At MMR, Terence Sambo delivered an understated yet bold colour block look. One of our faves!
We are in love! This was definitely our favorite couple on the BN Red Carpet. We adore the quirky mix.

Tuve Ibru…………………..*sigh*
The guys in the last 3 pictures need Jesus.
In fact they not only need Jesus, they need Holy Ghost fire baptism!
Lemme go and pray for them, I’ll be right back
LMAO u just made ma day!!!
AHahaaahaaaaa! Preach SISTER! Hahaaaa! W/ deliverance!
is the last guy teh same fellow that pulled that purple atrocity during Africa Fashion Week?
as in..no be small…
Dear BellaNaija,
I also enjoy your website, especially the event pictures, but as a well-known website, you really need to start looking into promoting those who are worth promoting, not everyone is a star, not every one will be a star. I am beginning to get bored looking at the pictures, because you tend to put EVERYONES PICTURES up. If we wanted everyones pictures we have facebook for that.
Please don’t take this the wrong way, or as a “beef” or hating, it would be nice to see a well put together pictorial description of the events and people who truly matter to that particular occasion, for instance in this case, the models (past and present), designers, “nigerian celebrities”, and anyone relevant to the fashion industry. Think about it, plus feel free and look at websites like style.com, elle.com, eonline.com and so on for more pointers.
Thanks,
BN Fan
I don’t think you understand. BN does event coverage, this involves putting up pictures of people who attend events, not STARS. If you want STARS you might want to stick with those shoddy softsell magazines.
I think i lv the fact that we c other pple xpt stars – They cn v BNStars 4 that. Bt 4 us that rip styles here, we need 2c both on-point and off-point styles.
That said d organizers of this event got a huge minus, for not defining their event – was it high or low. Pple didnt know wht to dress down or not. Anyway, that’s Y they mk d flops, so that we can laugh.
BN…Kp d work up. It’s bn kinda dull lately
You took the words right out of my mouth. There is no need to post 500 pictures and it was so unnecessary. I only want to see the hot pictures of “TRUE” divas and not the want to be stars!
hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!
They sure do!
totally agree and as for this guy
http://cdn.bellanaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/BN-Red-Carpet-Fab-Music-Meets-Runway-July-2011-BellaNaija-928.jpg

I thought the same! the same style of outfit like allllll the time is becoming boring *yawn*
no u r not d only one, i feel his pose is getting really old
D looks like superman abi na batman i no even know which one self haba!
hehehehe, the same thought just popped in my head when I saw him oh
Keep it simple and minimal. The best dressed are wearing looks that are less fussy and elegant.
Yes oh! The best ones for me are the ones that kept it simple and minimal.Love ijeoma Ndekwu and Bridget Awosika’s black ensemble the most out of the ones in black. Wish she took a personal photo so I can see the look better
oh and the girl in the black asos dress. Its so cute. Eku looks nicer in the colorful dress and also liked lamide shonekan’s look and nicole chukwueke. Nice one. Olaotan wetin happen na?? What is going on with the girls in similar outfits above the photo of bridget awosika, tsemaye binitie and makioh?? Anways jen olize I see u baby! Looking good oh. Thumbs up on the event.I like a few others too but their names are not there.
i think BN shld number or tag the pictures so we can easily refer to the ones without names
wow
Yosola Kuku in thigh high leather boots. tf!? smh
the thing weak me too…looking like some dominatrix S&M crew…lagos na wa
asin!!!! Naija peeps are on a different level mehn
Am I d first to pass my comment?#yay#
Really excited to see d pictures after much anticiaption.but pls where is OAP-ToolzO pix?after much twitter burst she caused by her catwalk on d runaway!gud to knw Nigerians r always fashionistas.I love Nigeria!
So many great looks, the girls definitely represented. 0_o @ the last 3 picture.
Loving the Bellanaija tag for the last two guys: Next Level. As in, e no dey let mouth talk. May una just carry una own category go. Lol.
Terence Sambo can lose the musa hat. It is now tiring. Also that TV presenter dude should go and cut off that patch of hair he’s got in the middle. Most folks looked great! Cool
Funmi……I’m getting you ….. you look gorgeeeeee…
Err….if by Funmi u mean Funmi Oduyemi….that entire outfit is a big fat NO…she looks like she’s about to take off like a bird…the jewelery is too “old mama” ish like it should be worn with Iro and Buba or sumn….as for the shoes..I simply cant!! lol
I think she means Funmi Owuye.
Ok WOW! wow! wow! the twins! or sisters or whatever, the ones with the little dress, straight weave and boobs< I don't care if they're real or not..(probably not) but WOW!lol
lol.I can see why u assumed they were twins but I can assure u they aren’t and neither are they sisters. Regarding the boobs…dont know about the one on the left but the girl on the right (Tracy Nwapa) hers are definately real.
Damnnnn the ladies looked delicious, Karen Young looks like a goddess, pretty girl. Pls wat was the guy in the black dracula outfit thinking, wtf?!
this event was like a secondary school reunion..lol.. but for serious tho, if someone cut off all the weaves in that event, they’d be loaded!
LOL! that is soo true! u r cray cray crazy!
The Dont’s oF this Album!
pEople PLSSSS stop wearing tights!,
wear a girdle/spanks (dress your body type),
people PLS PLS PLS stop the ankara top and denim bottoms, (except your going to the markets).
if your weave needs product. pls apply product.
THE END
what is wrong with the ankara top and denim?…..hmmm nah wah all these fashion critics i haven’t heard of…
there is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing ankara tops/blouses/jackets on denim…its fine if you ask me….but wait o, whats your reason for saying NO to it?! :s
i tire o. i suppose if Beyonce wore it it would be acceptable…we wont just appreciate our own.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL AW LAWD HELP ME IKNOW RIGHT PLSE IT ONLY RIGHT YOU ARE SETTING AN EXAMPLE..HOW ARE WE TO FOLLOW IF YOU DON’T TAME YOUR WEAVE? LOLOLOLOLOL OMG!
Oh please Ankara Top and Bottom? What’s wong with that, pray tell?
Uti should never ever try that kind of outfit again.
The last three pictures…the guys need help, and fast, too!
And “Uchay” is definitely the most beautiful person at that event…probably in lagos if she lives there…..just dont have “funky” spellings for your name sweetie, its flimsy behavior.
what a high school reunion! LOL
Wonu Odunsi that dress is not for thine body type
Bella didn’t u cover 50@50 event???????????? show us pic na… essence editor was there????
Black is most definitely beautiful. People were looking good. I like Eku’s cute zara dress, shame about the doppelganger though. My favourite of the night hands down and winner of my prettiest girl in the room award (Lol) is Lamide Shonekan.
Guys, please what’s the name of the ojuju guy in the last two pictures ? He’s always at these events but his pictures are never tagged. I really need to know.
that Uchay girl is on fire…simple yet chic! WHat is Yosola Kuku wearing (girl in the boots)!!
freda edewor is looking too hot. abeg. ah ah. lagos men must be enjoying oh cuz most ppl look good.mehn freda what’s the secret.fine girl toh bad!!!ah ah
The last 2 pics do not deserve a comment!!
Uti what were you thinking??
People should learn to wear clothes that fit their body type…
And why do some of the girls look like they are going to the shops to get sweets, its an event WEAR heeled shoes!!
Overall, an unimpressive red carpet…!!!
Karen Young (pic 375) Love her Hairdo.
Some of the ladies look good…..”Uchay” has to be my fav.
Seriously speechless. I can’t!!!
Oh my word!!! Naija toh badt for sure!!!
Glory…I see you baby
As for the last three guys…..LAWD “HAM” Mercy!!!!! What in hell were they wearing???
ONE WORD : CONFUSED
and the word aint for me
I have never seen a group of ppl ever so confused with dressing – no body knows what to wear when and what. Is It Casual, Is it Black Tie, is Business Casual – what to do what to do. Errbody confused. Chei
God bless u! my eyes hurt from going through the pictures. I tire…Confusion jam runway…lol!
you took the words right out of my mouth o!…TOTAL CONFUSION GOING ON HERE!!!…KILODE??
Woohoo, MMR fashion fix! I like what I see for the most part.

http://cdn.bellanaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/BN-Red-Carpet-Fab-Music-Meets-Runway-July-2011-BellaNaija-02000.jpg
Lot’s of hits, yay
! Oya all of you clap for yourselves.
ashy knees, clunky shoes, tights, knee length boots, camel toe (big no no ladies).

wonus outfit is a no no chai,God how will i compete with dis lagos gals wen i move bac lol,uti pls get a stylist and finally dat guy with the black wedding jacket lol wtfwe
well, first id lik to noe d theme of d occassion cos everyone seemed to be wearn wat dey felt lik…casual, non casual…shiny…u name it…most of d ladies dressed and accessorized well…d rest..no words to describe…advice to ladies…dat u look slim from d top dont mean u r slim from d waist…so many thighs were not supposed to be seen…also enuf with the breast suffocation..abeg una..ur boobies are cryn to breathe ooo…omg…ok not all skinny gurls shld rock a mini dress…i saw one of dem here and d sight was not appealing at all…all i culd see were bones….ders a diff btw bin slim and lookn sick….ok…d guys…wasnt impressed at all ooo…but der were som cute guys too….overall rating C MINUS!!!
Someone please tell Jennifer Olize I’m ready to marry.
6 letters = J.I.M.MI.E! Dang homie.
Note to Uti=The halloween ball is down the hallway, two doors to your left, and take those last 3 guys with you;)
*sigh* Jimmie sure is dreamy.
lwkmd…yup i don’t understand the outfit…he needs to switch up the swag or wait for Halloween he will make a perfect Ninja by adding a mask…..or probably Count Dracula!
dude in the green stripe shirt ,green pants and green shoes and the SHIMS in the last 3 photos are a big tacky mess
Damnnnnnnn. I mean some people looking like they rolled out of the kitchen after cooking amala to come to this event. Try a lil harder next time! Abeg!
Note to self: There are no shoes in Nigeria! I mean damn! Plus was the criteria for this party no fine boys allowed??? :S
How can i say this? well everyone dress awful while some were there and ok but i have to stop myself after 20pics cos i cant go on anymore… the event was met for casual looks not wear whatever u want and look like u are soo confuse with the whole idea of the event and the ladies that think u can wear anything that doesnt look good on u are soo dump or the stylist wasnt doing their job and for the guy please read some male fashion magazine and for the skinny girls not every can look good in some clothes… so for this event it a F MINUS from me!!!
Lagoon babes well represented! den go fear now!
olamide lawson shonekan killed it. wana sambo, why? I ask , why did you leave the house in that bedsheet wrapped around you as a dress? freda francis edewor, dress your age will ya?
Ruby Dabbour – *blank stare*
Louise Priddy-Bou Harb….whaddaheck?
Uti Nwachukwu …i think it’s time you lose the kung fu iron chef taiwan uniform geez! **side stare**
Toni tones….**scratching my head**
Yosola Kuku ….oh no you didn’t….lmao
Excuse my naivety but Freda looks kinda young to me e.g. between “29-33″..Is she older than that? If so she looks pretty good to me
And Wonu Odunsi can totally get it, every night.
kai, Uti, na wa oh!!… i like the dress by Wana Sambo.
some looks good and osome looks like egungun (masquerade). yoanna pepper ds ur hair style na waya o!
Fun event. lol i remember the cam guys complaining about my camera, and trying to hold it for me, I swore to break their lens if they dropped my camera.
ooook i gotta say/write this, it sort of looks like a Halloween /costume party gone wrong. Few pple look great and clean, but the rest just look like they need a bath, or change of clothes, why r they acting like fashion is the main issue in Lagos, poverty, lack of power and security, corruption is very present and all pple wry abt these days is who wore the cutest shoe, smh, they all need a wake up call.
Ok, so the girl with the black outfit, weave with a fringe and choker flower type necklace..sweetie…maybe we understand the look you were going for (honestly we dont). But it really didn’t work..next time lose the choker
Or better yet take it out of your cupboard right now, go to your backyard and burn it, just so we don’t have a repeat of that hot mess…all coming from a good place
YEpa!
bella naija, u r always delivering, for days now i av been trying to check red carpet fab for music meets runway from other bloggers for days now to na avail until i stumble on this. i use it to design some of my dresses, tanks.
I aint even looked at the pics yet, and the comments are cracking me up so much I’m afrai to! lwkmdfh, brb…
Too many things made me cringe and I don’t have time to write ‘em all, unfortunately,:( . However, Tolu Aiyela, why na? THis even t just goes to show that there is too much bleaching aka ‘skin toning’ going on in Lagos…and people need to hit the Stairmaster more often! *shudder, crosses myself*
WOW Naija is really representing, some of these women looked beautiful and the outfits were stunning. Some of the outfits were forgettable as there was nothing special about them. I loved that Yoanna Peppers style, her green dress and hair were gorgeous.
Bubu Ogisi kept it sleek and chic and looked gorgeous, i love her style so much there’s just something calm and collective about her!
And another comment.leggings should no longer be worn they don’t look classy for an upscale occasion!
so many pictures to look at! interesting red carpet! i can see my darling Diana (MBGN Tourism 2009) with the maddest shoes! BTW i wonder why Bellanaija doesnt put up my comments! put this one oh!
Ruby Dabbour looks tacky and Toyin Lawani is beautiful…except for the camel toe.
COME ON PEOPLE!!! sheeesh
LMAO @ Same dress, two lovely ladies. That is an awful thing to happen and the only place where it ends up not being a faux pas is at school (where you all have to wear the same uniform). Nice spin on it though BN! Wonder if they saw each other…
Lola x, London
http://lola-x.blogspot.com
what is it with the short dresses….cant we just look good and smart…must we show our stuff before we can be appreciated? Nigerian girls, God help us. No hard feelings…some of them look good anyway…..what is it with the New level guys…God help them..all for fashion…hmmmmm
LMAO @ Trazey’s comments
The guy in the white dracula-like jacket needs deliverance so does the Blade looking wanna-be in the last two pictures..*smh*
DEAR ALL…
I JUST WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT YOUR COMMENTS HAVE MADE MY DAY….HEHEHE
THE BEST PART OF BELLA NAIJA IS THE COMMENT….
YOU GIRLS AND GUYS ARE DELICIOUSLY WICKED….I LOVE YOU ALL….
OH BY THE WAY….
UTI+YOSOLA KUKU+THE LAST TWO GUYS = HORROE FILM.
GBAM
Dear Jesus I hope Uti sees these comments!! Pls let him see them!
mehn, these photos odikwa plentyyyy!!! love love Lamide Shonekan’s look though!
see women everywhere.
Yoanna Pepper Okwesa killed it for me!!!
to all those who wore flat slippers for this event – are you kidding?! like whiskey tango mothafrickin foxtrot!!!!
i just found out yoanna pepper’s dress was by IAMISIGO amazing,my favz bubu ogisi, maki oh, terence sambo i wonder where bayo oke-lawal was
The only problem I have with some of these red carpet event are the shoes some of these ladies wear. They need to start doing some intensive shopping when it comes to shoes for occassions.
The latex leggings ladies, come on! I tried looking for one that really suits me but never did & I gave up, it disgusts me when I see ladies wearing it and it has that ugly V. There are some high & low to this event though. Interesting.
Some great outfits. Some of the women look so stunning and classy and the guys are obviously coming for us! Can someone explain to me though why at one event you get some people wearing jeans and others wearing cocktail dresses and damn near ball gowns!?!
and the funny thing is ALL of them KNOW FOR A FACT They will appear on Bella Naija and thus this is their BEST – LOL LOL LOL
Naija dressers, please know what to wear when and for once please synchronise in an event. I dont want to see casual mixed with blacktie evening gown mixed with business casual.
You are almost there but not there yet, you got the clothes alright – but i say again you are a confused bunch who dont know what to wear when – what is appropriate for what even. Maybe get yourself INSTYLE Magazine Fashion Book and learn something from t he hollywood pros.
Bella this is my proposal to you – i know you looking for an intern, I hope he/she have a section on here TEACHING naijas what to wear to what occasion. All these technicolor mixed nonsense – This is a state of emergency
And lets not talk about the discolored black ashy KNEES which most want to show of. Thats a whole different topic. Moisturize them knees and elbows and even them out please
Leggings are presently a fashion staple. Some were nicely put together, others….not so much. Few misses, but i think everyone looked preeeeety good. However the several cellulite covered thighs and black knees didn’t look good. Such ‘ratchetness’ shouldn’t be on display.
Beeteedubz, what the heck is that guy wearing? Feathers and a train? Is that supposed to be eclectic?
Big thank you to the BN team for all these pictures. Great variety.
I have to say that a lot of the ladies came correct, but i did notice that quite a number of them let down their outfits with terrible choices in footwear. I refuse to acknowledge the one that was channeling winter in those knee high boots.
As for the men, word to the guy in green “meggings”. If you like don’t let your nuts breathe, na you go suffer. Uti must not have friends for him to leave his house looking like an extra from the matrix.
The last three pics? I haf gifen hup!
Also i noticed some people who claim to be stylists letting me down big time on this red carpet. I feel like you should be your own resume. And if you don’t feel like putting in the effort just skip the red carpet.
TUVE IBRU MARRY ME
Very few people in the oics nailed it. For most others, way too much creams, hair exntensions, accessories!!!! Very unitdy look if you ask me. And Yvonne, that jumpsuit had enough character and hence the earrings and bright yellow bag were totally unnecessary!
some really lovely outfits here plus am glad the show really went on full blast after all the drama with Amber ross n Dare!!! that said when i saw Uti’s picture i was almost in tears….u look like a Bat!!
***Amber Rose
Freda is 27 nah. Wonu makin me shiver. Jennifer Olize marry me nahh.
Those 2 girls in the matching ensemble..erm, entirely TOO much cleavage.
Bella..too many pictures. Should just do the good, bad, and the ugly. I don’t even know where to begin. Only comment is…Lamide Shonekan is GORGE!
i think Dr SID looks really hot did he lose weight?
For the most part all the females looked fab. The babe Uchay looks amazing. As for some of the guys not really feeling some of the super hero outfits.
Capes,puny mohawks,”white” nigerians,unsightly legs,the retired ninja turned footballer etc…NO!NO!!NO!!!
Tracy and her. Look alike friend emelda rockd! Love the look alike same ensemble idea. Heard rouge vallari dressesd them, wow! Luv!
Keira please i know you dnt mean what you are saying, tracy and her friend looked so tacky for the following reasons. tracy is heavy chested and a little below average height that dress did not do her justice at all. The most simple rule about dressing up is if you are going to show clevage make sure the rest of your body isnt visible vice versa. secondly its a fashion event the flip flops abi nah slippers is a no no . they both look very in appropriate for the event and should fire the stylist for even thinking that a dress like that would fit a heavy chested chick like that. Her friend would have passed if only she wore some heels cos she is a lot slimmer a whole lot less busty than tracy. I have seen Tracy dress better
I’m light skinned but the dark skinned ladies killed it! A lot of funny looking uneven light complexions- y’all know what that means. Lamide, the girl in the grey leopard print dress and red clutch, the dark skinned girl in the ankara mini dress under “print power” and the cute light skinned girl with flip flops were the best looking (save for the flip flops). Yvonne looks like a one color voltron with accessories.
wow what an event! everyone looked so stylish yet fab
It was a very successful magician’s ball. Nice to see the Magician himself at the end. Fantastic.
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I already love you for this comment .. hahahaha
The Good, The Bad, The Ugly and The Downright Bizzare!!! Chei!
why does Genevieve look like a ghost…… no make up, not style. was she really there.
abeg lagos babes can dress no be small, sup with d last 3 guys ooo
Who’s this dude??He’s right up my alley..What a beautiful specimen:)
http://cdn.bellanaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/BN-Red-Carpet-Fab-Music-Meets-Runway-July-2011-BellaNaija-410.jpg
The outfits were stunning, most of them. Who said Nigerians don’t know how to dress up? As for the guys in the last three pictures, well, they need JESUS…and A PAIR OF SCISSORS!!!!! lol.
http://gidimoregirl.blogspot.com
LOL
Oh, and thanks BN for always putting up these fabulous pictures, I always look here for tips on how to put colours and clothes together. You rock!!!
most of these ladies look good i don’t know what you all are saying…but my thing is the guy with the white big bird jacket skinny jeans and awful contacts…geez he looks horrible
Fab.fab..fab… Pls Uti shd drop dt lousy pose.
uchay killed it for me and please too many short dresses gosh! simplicity n elegance is key and most of dese ladies dont know wot dat means, if it must be short den it shldnt be skin tight- i call it desperate
May I add that Leggins should never be worn on short blouses/tops/dresses.
Whatever you choose to wear on leggins should at least cover your bum #sigh#.
These pictures made me cringe, apparently their was no gate fee and everyone on the streets of Lagos was allowed in. Confusion meets the runway indeed. Why do so many people try too hard ?????????? Nigerians girls plssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss…..chai
There was a gate fee…5k and above
some folks need to calm down the the “creams” and thats all i have to say about that. MANY looked nice, a lot looked cheap (either because their clothes were ill-fitting or they had too much going on. such as weave, makeup, outfit, etc etc, TOO MUCH)
but this pictures stuck out to me. LOVE IT.
http://cdn.bellanaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/BN-Red-Carpet-Fab-Music-Meets-Runway-July-2011-BellaNaija-564.jpg
as for the Indian/Lebanese or whatever lady wearing that black dominatrix looking outfit. i seriously shake my head.
Yes, abeg who is that babe in the link. I never fit chop or sleep since I see that picture!
and i agree that there are too many pictures. 1/4 of them shouldn’t even be up there and are not worth mentioning. but i guess its your site, so…
Oh my! Too many eew moments!
@Eku Edewor b*tch stole your look! Lol!
I do like Uchay’s look, probably channeling Amber Rose, since she couldn’t make it.”coughs/splutters”
The next level guys must be having “Gaga moments”. They definitely need our prayers and a lie down/rehab.
the amber rose comment wan wound me o…lmao
too many pics, i forget my comments. anyways as usual some pple were dressed properly for the occasion and some were not. why anyone wld wear flip flops to an event beats me.
I look sotey I tire! What happened to the guys in the last 3 pictures? Reminds me of Prof Peller!
Nicole’s obsidian outfit was gorgeous
the last 2 guys. no comment
I was impressed with most of the outfits,However
Some outfits showed too much cellulite,
Ladies quit trying so hard, style is effortless & fashion should not be forced.
Uti’s stylist??????? wtf?
Aunty in the black dress and boots??? boots in Lagos???? the dress is too small.
Erm I’m not quite sure but is that genevieve in the fourth picture frm the end? Bye the onli memorable person, well memorable for me anyway is Uchay. She’s just beaut
uti wat was dat?Abeg abeg abeg……….fashion police where u guys at.Sorry Uti ,u didn’t make it for me dis time….Try again nxt time
I love BUbu Ogusi n Barong Taiwo+ Yvonne Ekwere is always on point.
the women look good, the men-suspect………. their dressing is just out there.
Anyone know where Lamide Shonekan’s shoes are from? Bad ass, they is!
Loubies…the spiked Loubies
see my loyola peeps repping
joann ezeoba, bayo akinbisehin, dipo and deji dabiri
so basically, it isnt cool to be masculine and straight anymore. Its just not fashionable. My kids are not watching E, Disney, MTV, Channel O, In fact DSTV, SKY or any other cable network ever again! You should read up about Babylon. All Moslems Christians or monotheists should repent from the ways of shaitan the end of days are upon us.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My eyes are watery from so many colourful pischors!!!!!!!!!!
some of the girls looks handicapped all in the name of striking a pose for the cameras. and the guy with loads of buttons on his jacket crossing his legs?????? like seriously?????? Thanks bella! in all the coverage was fab. well done.
some dramatic artires there!lol!
Glory Edozien- i get to see the talented writer. u didnt reply my mail though.
http://www.omonaikee.blogspot.com
i love Julius Agwu’s wife….the dress is simple and classic….my best for the day

LWKMD, abeg you children wont kill me in this Nigeria oh.. your comments are to die for. My eyes hurt badly, there’s such a force in Naija called na by force…Apart from a handful of elegant (whether trendy or minimalist look) the others spell TACKY, too much gragra…as for that next level, BN you nailed it, infact spiritual aladura levels. I am yet to decide whether Yosola fall my hand today, she dresses well and is quite fashion savvy but baby girl you need to understand that even if the look is right, NIGERIANS are allergic to boots in their country, even if na flood or harmattan, they can go on strike for that, take note pls. Guys lets cut her some slacks she is well put together at least better than extra pint sized miss princess Jennifer Obayuwana’s personal winter edition.
we seriously need fashion police in 9ja
swear down babess….with trained NYPD.CIA,FBI….
BN
85 percent of the people were truly looking wonderful! Very nice folks!
One word: SANDALS!!!!!!! O_O
HOW and WHY would you leave your house n head to an event like this in sandals??? Makes absolutely no sense…I don’t care who or what you are wearing…at an event like this…to show up in sandals is just down right disrespectful!

Mostly gorgeous people and some, let me say I have no words. Did I just spot someone wearing Eku’s dress (right below her photo)?!! LOL! That happened to me sometime ago and thank goodness I had a back up. Had to run to my hotel room and change. Everyone’s looking good. Uchay is the most beautiful of all.

why is it that some people dress as if their body will soon run out of fashion
if you a uk 12 and upwards pllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllls eji m chukwu na no na eligwe rio unu DO NOT WEAR A LEGGINS /TIGHTS WITHOUT A TOP COVERING YOUR BEHIND. TAME THE TREASES the hair is all over the place taking attention away from the clothes if your ensemble is busy or you are wearing prints pack your hair backwards or side ways but away from your face take a look at IBIERE AGWU she did a good job with her braids and her whole ensemble classy but simple a breath of fresh air . i know the human hair is the inthing,
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am quite a conservative dresser but I don’t see anything wrong with their style. I have read obtuse comments and it make me chagrin considering we live in a creative word.. The same player haters will be full of envy if a foreign Artist or Film production company orders their products. My fellow Nigerians, Free your minds and stop walking on eggshells. Life is short and he who dare wins, we should encourage freedom of expression and not take the moral high ground coated with mockery. Not to sound didactic, I’ll rather wear what they wearing considering its Nigerian made at least i would be employing the services of some Nigerians.
please freda francis looked ok, for you information she aint even up to 28yrs, sothe person
PS: BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL, WATS UP WITH WE NAIJA BABES BLEACHING, TOO MUCH OF EVERYTHING IS BAD, AND BLEACHING MAKES YOU LOOK OLDER THAN YOUR AGE, NO WONDER THE SIMPLE LOOKING ONES WERE ATTRACTIVE TO ME, BECAUSE YOU COULD TELL THAT THEIR SKIN TONE WAS WELL GROOMED AND HEALTHY.PLS TAKE MORE FRUITS, EXERCISE, VEGETABLES ,THAN USING CHEMICALS UPON CHEMICALS TO DESTROY UR SKIN,THE END RESULT IS UGLY BE.
ONE LOVE
who said she should dress her age, im honestly vonfused as to what you are talking about
SORRY FOR THE TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR
The last dude…..lawd have mercy…..Is he a vampire? where him dey fly go?
PLSE I BEG LET ME START WITH THE GOOD!!! THE GUY BALD AND THE MILITARY JACKET AND ALL THE LOGOS IN THE BACK…BN WE NEED NAMES HE’S IS EXTRA GOOD LOOKING ALONG WITH MR Rume Kragha, Jecintha Powell SHE ALSO LOOKED GREAT AND NICE COLOUR FOR HER… THE COLOUR BLOCKING WAS GREAT NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE CAN ACTUALLY PULL THAT OFF W/O LOOKING LIKE THEY DIDN’T KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING KIND OF THING…LOVE THE CLOSE UP OF THE SHOES BUT WHO WORE AND WHO MADE THEM.. THE WHOLE IDEA OF FASHION IS TO KNOW WHO AND WHAT TO BUY,… NOW ON TO THE BAD….WONDER TWIN POWER DE-ACTIVATE!!! THE WOMEN IN THOSE DRESSES THAT WERE ALIKE PLEASE WE ARE NOT IN H.S. NOR ARE WE AT PROM..IT LOOKED HORRIBLY WRONG… AND THE MEN WITH THOSE EYES IS THIS JU-JU OR WHAT? THEY LOOKED FREAKISH NOTHING FASHIONABLE HERE..WELL MAYBE THE JACKET NEXT TO LAST GAVE ME A DAVID BOWIE FEEL BUT OTHER THAN THAT MY GOD I HAVE TO TEND TO AGREE WITH MANY PEOPLE ON THE BOARD.. IM IN THE US AND I AM AMERICAN , OF AFRICAN DESCENT AND TO SEE PEOPLE WHO LOOK LIKE ME IS VERY INSPIRING,.. HOWEVER WHEN YOU START SEEING THE SAME THING NOTHING NEW EVEN SOME OF THE GRAPHICS ARE OFF., THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE SOMETHING SPECIAL IF I WANTED TO SEE PIC OF PEOPLE I WOULD TOO GO TO FACEBOOK.. BUT NO I WANT THE HIGH END OF THE SPECTRUM.. I WANT FASHION TO THE TIL,.. I WANT TO HAVE THE REAL..OF SPONTANEOUS..THIS IS NOT IT..IT ALMOST MAKES ME WANT TO TAKE A CLASS IN GRAPHICS TO MAKE MY POINT..JUST HONESTLY NOT GOOD

But why would you wear a really hot outfit with sandals/flats/slippers for an upscale event??? O_O
LMAO!!! … I almost thought i was somehow lost in time/date .. halloween already???? uti’s pic should have been on that “next level” list – “i am not understanding” his outfit at all . and SOME of these outfits make me scream “Oh My Paale” . just atrocious .. fashion atrocity
Uti should be one of the last three pics. These chicks dey – at all?
Some of the ladies were a complete mess but most were on point. Keep it simple………..works all the time.
Chichi Chukwueke looks nice
I hate to be mean but seriously ladies–first rule of fashion: Dress your body type. What is up with all these girls/women that show up on at these events trying too hard? Seriously including the boys…looking like clowns; Stop the madness already! Thumbs up for the those who dressed properly…the rest of you shame on you!
