The “Damage” Tour Hits the US! Uche Jombo, Tonto Dikeh & Kalu Ikeagwu in Staten Island & Minneapolis
Posted on Monday, October 10th, 2011 at 3:37 PMBy BellaNaija.com

Uche Jombo has decided to take her message against domestic violence to another level, with plans to take her movie Damage on a tour across the United States of America as part of the awareness against domestic violence in the month regarded as domestic violence month in the United States.
Damage which has already had a spectacular premiere in Lagos and London premiered in New York on the October 7th and will premiere in Kentucky on October 15th, Houston, Atlanta on the 21st of October and in Philadelphia. Already tickets for the event are already on sale online at www.damagemovietickets.com.
Other stops on the tour include Texas and Minnesota.
When asked about her decision to take her movie on a tour in the United States, Uche said, “it is just a way of spreading the message against domestic violence, because if we look at it, it is truly a global problem. Also, apart from the showing of the movie in the United States, there will also be the sale of merchandise which will spread the message – to stop domestic violence. This will not only raise awareness to domestic violence, but would also serve as a means of raising funds which would be contributed toward the cause.“

For the first time ever, I don’t have anything to point out as wrong on Tonto Dikeh. I think she looked lovely through out. Na so hin suppose be all the time!
Saw the premier in London and most of the people we spoke to, didn’t make any sense from the movie, the story line did not make sense and the picture quality was very poor. I would not see the movie for free.
same here Joyce, I hated that i saw the movie and i went with a friend who was almost paying for the VIP viewing room, but it wasnt showing there. Kai i for ask for discount. Crappy Mr and Mrs Smith copy. I wonder what happened to ingenuity? Anyway, thats a long lost and long cry. I would only watch it again when snow is discovered in hell
D movie is all about domestic violence, may be dose pple did not understand d concept of d movie! So I advise dem to watch it again.
Tontoh usually gets a lot of stick but she looks lovely here, I think.
i saw only uche and tonto…what happened to the other artistes *confusedSmiley*
why do naija women think sausage rollers are hair accessories?
LOL
help me ask them…..mcheew
the thing tire me o
If they are not hair accessories then what are they? Hair Stationaries???? LOL. Pls say something else cos that’s not an issue at all.
ummm they are not sausage rolls, neither are they accessories. Biko, u can sha allow google to be ur friend next time. They are called Flexi-Rods…they are a better option for curling ur hair sans heat.
well i didn’t tell you i dont know what they are or that i needed any google search or help here but i was just trying to let you know there are things you should just mind your business about that’s all. If they decide to make it accessories, so be it for them and just let them be thats it. Look for something else to talk about that makes sense cos this one makes no sense at all trust me

Lol… ppl can love to hate (fullstop).
They were getting ‘dolled’ up people.
The caption “getting dolled up” didn’t explain it to you??
there not hair accessories, there hair curlers called flexi rods.
both ladies look lovely + the men too

What the heck is in KENTUCKY! Bring that tour to Cali, we wanna go.
Was able to see it here in minneapolis (they got there late) but I forgive them because I love the movie, first Nigerian movie I didn’t know where the movie was taking me…sad about the end but I understand since we are suppose to see what damage can be done if we live like that. I love kalu.uche thank you for giving me one movie that makes sense not all the ones here that goes on to part 2 ,3 and4! Different title, 5and6 ,end of what the title is making you watch 6senseless movies trying to make sense out of nothing.I love nolly but they are losing points here with the parts (too long) ok getting back to damage, I love this movie.thanks uche jombo
good to see a comment that speaks my mind. Its a great movie and the fact that it doesnt have all the part 1 to 1o, makes it really cool
my pple lets give honour to whom honour is due, the two ladies look lovely……. i salute their courage……. go girl!
should we assume only 3pple premiered this movie!!!
you obviously can’t count. if you count the photgrapher, 5 people premiered this movie.
Well thats an impossible situation Tobi.3 people???Come on . May be Bella Naija doesnt have the full version pictures of the premiere
I believe Bluloft styled them oooooo. I saw more pictures of the event on their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/bluloft.
Bella abeg post my comment and I think you need to give Bluloft credit.
lmao! Actually Tonto tried here..she needs to look like this more often biko! Now she don come yankee..let’s hope she doesnt come back with fake american accent and start blowing it in movies…like the “Innit” she started blowing after she visited jand.
Uche looks amazing too!
Uche and Tonto looking great but seriously i love uche’s gold dress. Its a nice movie and i can watch it over and over again. i love the fact that this movie DAMAGE is standing for a course which is DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. Good course isnt it??? YEA
i think the word you are struggling with is “cause”.
Buhahahhaa!
Which ever way, i guess you understand my message and that’s what matters. Thanks all the same for the word. LOL
Tontoh looks amazing in both outfits! Love the hair and makeup too!
Uche…love the long dress.
Love Uche’s dress absolutely gorgeous ! Also love Tonto’s dress -absolutely “gorgeouser” – that is if there is a word for that
I seriously dont have any issue with us pointing out mistakes but there is no need doing so like you were fighting with Uche or Fighting with DAMAGE MOVIE. No one is perfect and for her to have taken the step to do this movie means she intends to grow and become better so lets give her some credit . lOVE YOU UCHE, TONTO, KALU MOSES. pEACE
Coco is right I saw more pictures on Bluloft’s page I think they did a great job
Well done uche
Choii!!! Commentators on Bella Naija can like to fight over the most trivial issues, so now we’re arguing about what the thingamijigs on their hair is called? Who cares what it’s called as long as I can pick it out at Walmart.

Thumbs up to Uche, she’s really worked hard to get to where she is now, and she totally killed it in that long gown. Tonto looks good too. The film is one that definitely has a message, especially in these times when abuse against women is on the rise. can’t wait to see it.
Tonto’s outfits were really nise, but she looked malnourished.
Tonto Dikeh LOVES bendy rollers sha! LOL
I love these ladies. Went to the premiere @ Staten Island and I am yet to describe my experience with Uche and Tonto. Classy. Friendly and OMG!!! Even a VVIPP wouldnt have gotten the extraordinary treatment they gave me. God bless them jorrr…….

All these US/UK movie launches, na wa! i wonder if the mexican movie producers do movie launches in US which is just minutes away, with millions of mexicans!
if its paining you this much then go get your own movie out and if u care premiere it in your bedroom. Who the hell cares??? God forgive your bad mouth

am i d only one dat thinks tonto lost weight? she looks amazing, rly hope she remains consistent with dis new look. everything looks totally on point.
dolled up seems hard to understand na wa!
English don become problem
Yes, that is my sister from other mother doing her thing. Mega talented and extraordinary story teller with a writer’s IQ that equals that of Ernest Hemingway and many more like him.
Great insight, suberb collab and casts, intuitively expressive while sensitively highlighting the main and focal point of universal damage springing forth from domestic violence in most society. May i also add that the very detailed and perfectly scripted story leaves everyone hungry and curious for reasons behind the human mind and behavioral actions. A MUST WATCH!!!!!!!!!
hmmm Nija actors we struggleto go over sees to show our movies, when the likes of (too numerous to mention)top hollywood producters/actors are starting to take keen interest in africa.Y struggle for international exposure when all you nees to do is promote your stuff here and the fame would come running after you,in most cases this would announce you all over.
spell check …3rd line would be all you need to do..lol
woow! dey re bof my role models! keep on, galz
Love Uche’s gold dress…gorgeous! Ok Tonto looks gorgeous as well…but I’m def not interested in seeing this movie!
I love Kalu he is sexy I am proud of them doing edutainment
People get the point, the damage trilogy is an advocacy project meaning which ever NGO calls in what ever country damage will there. I don’t understand why people here just don’t get it.Uche congrats on breaking grounds
Well I am waiting to see this movie tomorrow here, ticket? Checked. My red carpet number? Checked. If I don’t like it, I will be back here bella to say what I think. This hghg person up really doesnt know anything about movie business( Hollywood is starting to take interest in Africa? Are you kidding me? They need Africa cos they dt hv stories anymore stories n peeps are getting tired of too many remakes going on, there’s nothing wrong in pushing ur movie beyond your comfort zone just pick a movie with the right message which is what Jombo has done……good business head
Tonto not famous in nairobi but …we like her…her legs are not good as i thot..uche jumbo tho common a little looks fabulous..imean magnificent.Anyway we like em…so wea r ini edos..ritas..genevieves n all other common nollywood scraps..we missin em here

Uche looks very lovely. What I admire most in her is that she has different facial expressions for different scenes. Keep it up girl! The sky is not your limit!
