Voting has started for the 2011 Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts (BEFFTA) Awards!
According to their official website, “The BEFFTA awards is the premier award ceremony that celebrates the achievements of both the known and the unsung hard working black and ethnic minority personalities in entertainment, film, fashion, television and arts worldwide under one roof.

BEFFTA founder Pauline Long said, “the nomination process is usually lengthy and involves intense research but it’s all worth it, you only have to look at the individuals nominated to see that we are a community of very talented and creative people. A lot of the people that have been nominated work very hard behind the scenes and are very talented, these people need recognition for their contribution in the industry and that’s what BEFFTA is about”.

Nominations for the regular categories have closed and now it is time to vote. However, nominations are still being accepted for the special awards.

Ok naw, let the voting begin..

  • Bolanle October 12, 2011 at 12:28 pm

I hope that they are not putting Miss Makosi (picture above) for any awards, pelase abeg, if you fail to remember she was the same one who was in the big Brother house who put a bottle inside her female hidden parts and had sex in the pool and claimed to be pregnant..that is not a good achievement nor is it a good standard to set!

I will look into who these nominees are, its good for people to be recognised for their achievements!

    • xadex October 12, 2011 at 10:59 pm

WRONG! She did have sex in the jacuzzi, but it was Kinga that pit a bottle up her lady parts

    • Evidencebased October 14, 2011 at 4:10 pm

I see your wisdom behind your statement. However, do try to get your facts straight before you crucify someone. She did what she did in the pool but she is not the female who used the champagne bottle in a compromising manner on national television. If you must kno…. Kinga did.
