The 3rd Edition of Home Video Integrity Awards (HomeVida) – a film award platform driving creative messaging on integrity and value change through films while also providing the opportunity for branding and product promotion, has announced its 2012 voting process as well as its short film script competition.
Apart from awarding film makers with its coveted statues on the D-Day, the HomeVida team will also be giving out cash prizes of up to N 1 Million to the winning films in the various categories while shortlisted short film scripts applicants will be given a grant in order to have their films produced which will be backed up by Solution Media Crew.

Call For Scripts
This is an open call for young individuals between the ages of 18 and 30, to write and submit a script that promotes any of our chosen values to the competition
1-Due Process Film Script
- A story encouraging integrity, true competition, transparency, accountability, especially among contractors, government officers and procurement monitors.
- Have a believable, realistic, dramatic and entertaining storyline.
2- Public Conduct Film Script
- A story that portrays the consequences of ethical choices that public servants make.
- Highlight positive effects of integrity reforms.
3-Child Friendly Film Script
- A storyline that is able to engage the child’s faculties and encourage him/her to positively contribute to the development of a more desirable society.
- A storyline for a movie suitable for children or family viewing.
- A believable, artistic and entertaining storyline is necessary.
Call for Nominations
After all short film scripts have been received, the HomeVida team will give Nigerian film audiences the opportunity to nominate on their website or via SMS, e-mails and HomeVida mobile application feature short film scripts that promote the selected values for the subject year. Watch out for Radio Jingles and TV ads to find out how you can win loads of fantastic prizes like blackberry phones, laptops and cash prizes.
Short Film Production
From August to September, HomeVida team will produce all the short films of winners from its competition. All finalists films and behind the scenes footage as well as interviews with mentors, family and friends and the finalist’s journey will be featured primarily on Africa Magic.
Voting Process
Nominated films are vetted and assessed by an independent jury, which shortlists two films in each category before the end of August. These short films are then promoted across all media platforms through October and November for people to watch and vote for via text messaging, the HomeVida website and HomeVida phone application. Voting closes on Sunday 9th December 2012 by 3 PM.

To participate in the short film script competition, log on to www.HomeVida.org to upload your script and send an E-mail to [email protected] with your full name, date of birth, gender, location, contact address, phone number and contact email address.
What You’ll Win
The winning script in any of these 3 categories will receive a N 1 Million grant for the Home Vida Technical team to turn the script into a short film while the writer will receive a cash prize of N 100,000 including a scholarship from Nigerian actress and Home Vida ambassador Genevieve Nnaji.
