On Saturday 20th October 2012, the 2012 edition of one of Africa’s most prestigious music award shows, The Headies, took place in grand style at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event which was hosted by Omawumi and MI, saw in attendance some of the biggest names in the Nigerian entertainment industry including Davido, Kefee, Jesse Jagz, Brymo, Waje, Omoni Oboli, Toke Makinwa, Lynxxx, Wizkid, Karen Igho, KSB, Iyanya and Adora Oleh.

Only Linda did it for me, everyone else was a fail one way or another. Adora, gorgeous girl with gorgeous skin, dress was nice but failed for quality. Naija designers and celebs, it’s not just about the style check the quality. If it looks like aso ebi (Toke Makinwa) or like the tailor next door made it (Waje and Oreka) then is in bad taste! The Praiz guy and Toolz looked good together sha.

A lot of shoes don’t go with what people are wearing and/or the wrong type of shoes were worn for the event.

Wow, I just realized that most Nigerian guys and ladies alike have no fashion sense whatsoever…come on, this whole thing looked like a freak show. I can literally handpick the ones that dressed alright and they are not up to 5.
We are only looking at the people. Lets take a look at the Headies location too. See plywood up and down and concrete. Our so called celebrity events always look shabby and ill organised. Don’t expect hollywood glamour in a nollywood setting. From the way people are dressed, you can tell that it wasn’t exactly a prestigious event. Do we even expect all of them to wear designer clothes and afford stylists?!
