True Love, Never Goes Out of Style: Funke Ogunde & Ayotunde Adepoju Wed

Four years after they met at a friend’s birthday party, Funke Ogunde & Ayotunde Adepoju celebrated love and lifetime commitment at their uber-stylish wedding.
On Sunday 16th of September 2012, the couple’s family and friends gathered to witness Funke and Ayotunde’s traditional engagement. It was a sea of orange and blue loveliness with everyone in the aso ebi colours while the couple looked regal in their orange and champagne aso oke. As the band played, everyone danced and enjoyed the festive day. A week later, on a bright and sunny Saturday, it was time for Funke and Ayotunde’s white wedding.
Beautiful does not adequately describe the bride Funke on her wedding day…she was stunning in her draped asymmetric sheath dress. With her hair perfectly coiffed then accessorized with a hairpiece which matched her earrings and elegant lace veil, Funke completed her stylish bridal look. As expected, the bridal party made a style statement in their fuchsia pink and coral dresses by the bride’s design label, Phunk Afrique. The groom, Ayotunde was handsome in his three-piece grey suit paired with a dark pink paisley print tie. His groomsmen complemented the bridesmaids in their black suits with fuchsia ties.
Funke and Ayotunde’s union was blessed during a ceremony at the Trinity House Church and then the event moved on to the reception. It was a Lagos party with the all guests dancing to the beats spun by the DJ while the couple savoured the love-filled moments.
