The 9th Annual Channel O Music Video Awards took in place in Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa this past weekend. Hosted by Nigerian superstar Ice Prince and South African It Girl, Bonang Matheba, in attendance were the biggest names in the Africa’s entertainment industry including D’banj, Tiwa Savage, K Switch, Weza Solange, Mo’Cheddah, Lynxxx, Eku Edewor, Denrele Edun, Yaw, Freeze, Jocelyn Dumas, Brymo, Davido, Fade Ogunro, Tatiana Durão and Lelo Boyana.

@ Ada: Did anybody say there’s something wrong with her carrying a Primark purse? I own a black version and aint nothing wrong with shopping from Primark! It could’ve been from Zara, Next, Newlook…where ever! and someone will still say hey! I know where u got that from!
If it had been a more expensive purse now people would still make noise about being materialistic. You mah that you can identify the purse, what were you doing in Primark? Or you were too cool to enter and simply saw somebody who knew somebody that had the purse?

1.) I have seen Lelo Boyana look way better on many occassions.
2.) Eda Rose should have come in her birth suit. Their is very little difference.
3.) Fashion in SA is way off the mark and way behind Naija. These pics make for very poor viewing.

Of all the other ChannelO VJs, I think Derele is the most prominent and trust me, he pulled off those heels (I think they are Jeffrey Campbell) and when he stepped up onstage, he stole the spotlight and made Sarkodie look invinsible!
The girl from Tanzania, Jokate I think is just a Nigerian artiste groupie. Well sweetie, it’s not a quick shot at fame. I can’t even recall the others. As for Lala Hirayama and Dineo, they were awesome. Watched them live on the Vuzu channel. What was Eku doing there? And where is the Channel o boss who sucks up to all the Nigerian artistes? We hear Lynxx is her new catch and he might be hosting the awards next year. Biola Alabi, Abeg caution that Leslie whatever she is called. She only chooses to play videos she has a special likening for.
DJ Zinhle looks FAB! Vimbai’s looks like the downtrodden witch from Notre Dame. MoCheddah again? #spits. Overall, you could tell that CuannelO is simply patronizing artistes they have a likening for, not real talent as always. Please switch us to VH1 or even Trace Abeg!
