The glam quotient at Nigerian traditional engagements and weddings just keeps rising! Faith Arigbe and Kenny Umenyi‘s traditional wedding ceremony took place at the Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday 22nd of November 2012. The bride’s chic pick for the Aso Ebi got the BellaNaija Weddings team swooning as the black sequin fabric paired the fuchsia pink velvet wrappers was an inspired choice that created a thoroughly sizzling effect while the groom’s side looked resplendent in yellow and blue.
With the guests looking glamorous, it was no surprise that the bride and groom looked even more dazzling in their traditional looks which showcased hues of gold, champagne and ivory with traditional coral jewellery reimagined for the bride’s statement necklace.

Usually not a fan of the Velvety/suede fabric but this LOOKS FAB especially with the sequins! Gorgeous couple, choice of colours and decor, very Glam, Classy and Luxurious.

Luvlyn the velvet idea isnt a first on bella or in naija. I think sometime in 2010 november or december there was one here. I hope am right as it been awhile. The use of velvet,is however rarely used in naija perhaps because of that peroid where people refered to it as furniture fabric ‘akwa oche’ . Its good to see people use it now.
