YALDA presents 2013 Fundraising Dinner for Young African Innovators – Saturday 23rd February 2013

Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa (YALDA) is hosting its “Adopt an Idea” Fundraising Gala Dinner next weekend. The body is an International non-profit organization that helps young innovators channel their ideas towards developing positive leadership skills and work ethics in Nigeria.

Last year, YALDA in partnership with Lagos Business School, hosted the ‘YALDA 2012 International Conference’ themed “Innovation and Creativity for a Better Africa: Implementing your Dreams!” on the 4th to 7th October to address the very unique challenges being faced by young people when trying to implement their ideas.  The conference received International media coverage from both CNN and Voice of America.

This year eight young and innovative individuals, that were selected during Its International conference in 2012, would be presenting their unique ideas to the invited guests. These guests have been selected based on their commitment and dedication to Africa’s development.

Kalaya Nadina Okereke, a former YALDA Harvard Executive Director and YALDA’s Conference Chairperson has included that people or organisations that are interested in the development of African youths can also participate in the programme. She revealed that jazz legend, Hugh Masekela will be the distinguished guest performer and recipient of the YALDA African Star Champion Award.

“We have prepared a detailed proposal for those who want to find out more about the event and how they can be part of this ground-breaking initiative, which is positively impacting the lives of African youth all over the continent” she added.

There will be four types of tables reservations, seating 10 each, that will be available for purchase as well as individual tickets. these tables are the Chairman/ Chairperson tables (exclusive VVIP and limited in number), CEO tables (VIP tables and limited in number), Manager tables, Supporter tables and Individual tickets.
