On Saturday 2nd March 2013, Nigerian music star Iyanya launched his album, Iyanya vs Desire at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. The show was hosted by Nollywood star Richard Mofe-Damijio and media personality Toolz.
Celebrities spotted at the event include Funke Akindele-Oloyede, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Karen Igho, DJ Xclusive, Banky W, Layole Oyatogun, Skales, Moet Abebe, May D, Wizkid, Seyi Shay, Timaya and Vector. Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State and Florence Ita-Giwa were also spotted at the event.

Styled by Liam Fashion Agency, co-host of the ”Iyanya vs Desire” Album Launch, Toolz rocked a bi-coloured (red-and-black) dress to Saturday’s show. With her hair pulled up, she paired the outfit with a statement gold neck piece, diamond bracelets, a gold stud and cream clutch.
Smoky eyes and red lipstick completes Toolz’s fierce look.

Just before she walks down the aisle with her beau (2Face Idibia) this March, Annie Idibia dazzled in a gold sequined mini dress with a sweetheart neckline on Saturday evening. Her look was completed with gold drop earrings, a gold bracelet, an ivory clutch and ankle strap black heels.

TV presenter Fade Ogunro kept her look simple and yet-oh-so-fresh. Her blush number by Grey which features a ruffled skirt below was accessorized with drop earrings and black Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

Rising music act Emma Nyra arrived at the “Iyanya vs Desire” album launch in a multi-coloured print blouse and A-line rose pink velvet skirt. She accessorized with drop silver earrings, statement gold bracelet, a snakeskin clutch and a pair of peep-toes.

Later in the day, she opted for a racy outfit for her performance. Emma Nyra rocked this leather jumpsuit which features lace sheer details on the sides and a lace train to show-off her hot bod. The outfit was accessorized with ankle strap heels and the same earrings, gold bracelet and clutch from her earlier outfit.

Inside the “Iyanya vs Desire” Album Launch Concert
The Star – Iyanya!
The man of the night wore three outfits for his album launch. He was first seen in a blue-striped double button suit, which he paired with a pink shirt, black-and-dark red tie and black shoes. He later changed into a white shirt and jeans.
His 3rd look was a leather jacket, which he left unzipped, black pants and boots. Iyanya ended the show by showing off his pecs to the ladies.
Tiwa Savage didn’t walk the red carpet but the songstress was spotted on stage with Iyanya to perform Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey‘s classic track, One Sweet Day. The song was tribute to the late pop star Goldie. Besides the memorable performance, the spotlight was on Tiwa’s T by Alexander Wang dress.
The fall 2011 brown spaghetti strap dress, which features a plunging V neck front and low V neck back was displayed on the lookbook with a sheer floor length skirt. The 33 year old music star accessorized her outfit with a pair of nude Christian Louboutin heels.

Great observation. The black skin has almost 50 differnt shades and an individual can have as many as 10 different shades all over their body. For some of us elbows, knees and knuckles are the main culprits, however bleaching makes the problem worst by highlighting these areas.. Exfoliation and using only natural lighteners like papaya can help reduce pigmentation. The only real solution is make up (albeit temporary) Yes covering up with foundation or wearing very sheer summer tights. This entertainment industry is first and foremost an image business, talent comes a distant second ( especially for ladies). If you doubt me check out the Talents of beyonce and Fantasia Barino ( can I hear you say Fan …..who). Any lady who wants to reach the very top in this business can not afford to have a hair out of place.

Na so so bulge everywhere. Women wearing dresses sizes smaller than they should be wearing. If you don’t have nice curvy legs, don’t wear mini. I still don’t understand why people are all dressed up for an album launch. U are supposed to wear very comfortable clothes and shoes for this type of event in my opinion. Simplicity is key. An album launch is an avenue to dance, groove and have fun. Not a fashion show where one person tries to outshine the other. We Nigerians often get it wrong … but then its just my opinion.
