BN Red Carpet Fab - Exclusive Glam Report TV Launch in Lagos - September 2013 - BellaNaija - 068

Yipee, it’s time for BN Red Carpet Fab!

For this stylish edition we are focusing on the Glam Report TV Launch in Lagos.

On Sunday 15th September 2013, CEO Glam Networks Bola Balogun officially launched her highly anticipated lifestyle magazine show Glam Report at the Social Place, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event was sponsored with PZ Cussons’ Imperial Leather & Dark & Lovely.

The event saw lots of celebrities, Lagos socialites, stylistas and business execs. Guests included Rita Dominic, Banky W, Folake Folarin Coker, Lanre DaSilva-Ajayi, Agbani Darego, Adeola Bali, Uti Nwachukwu, Wana Udobang and Dimeji Alara.

As with any Lagos event, the ladies always bring it. For a nice companion on their shoulders, we spotted Chanel bags and for footwear, we saw Valentino “Rockstud” sandals, Christian Louboutin and Nicholas Kirkwood.

So…BellaNaija Style Watchers, we need you to check out all the guests at the event and tell them what they did right or wrong.

Enjoy!

Looks like a nice event. Not sure if it was meant to be a casual affair or black tie but people came mostly casual and most nailed it. Tayo Shonekan looks a little funny, the hair and dress don’t really work. Mitchelle Dede..HOTTTT!!! Mr Fab can be this laid back..I like the touch of orange. Korede Roberts and wife awesome. Ezinne Chinkata…nice dress. Najite Dede??? No comment. Let me leave the other guests to my able BN Style analysts :D

it is the lightening….it hurt to looks at these pictures
        because everyone tried

      • jcsgrl September 23, 2013 at 3:50 PM

My one and only comment…I think Lagos humidity must have been in full force. Perhaps event planners should have their redcarpet pics indoors when its too hot outside or make provisions for fans. See as everyone’s face looked like oil used to fry puff puff

    • corolla September 23, 2013 at 12:32 PM

Fades dress is frumpy.a really bad choice esp for the launch of her show.

    • Non professional opinion September 23, 2013 at 12:42 PM

There are so many “donts” here that it seems unfair to single anyone out, however….
      Chalya… Buahhahahaha
Folake Coker. If you are pregnant congrats, if not…dang!
      Ufuoma Ejenobor. Worisdis!!!
I had to scroll all the way down to Deola Bali to see someone who looked good. That excludes Bola Balogun who looks hot.

      • Plato September 24, 2013 at 4:22 AM

        Honestly,
        Adeola Bali
        Karen Koshoni (thank goodness)
        Bola Balogun
        Hauwa Mukan

Thank you ladies for teaching the rest how to dress. Smooches! x

great to see she doesnt appear on every red carpet

    • smashingM September 23, 2013 at 12:53 PM

Beautiful ladies and gents. Come’o, why is Toke always hiding her knuckles? she should stop bleaching if she’s not proud of it mbok. I wonder what she’s looking for when she’s already fair.

      • Lucylink September 23, 2013 at 2:59 PM

Be quiet please. You sound stupid.

        • SassyDiva September 23, 2013 at 8:11 PM

Toke is that you or a member of your voltron force! There is a reason why BN has a comment box in place! Free speech anyone.

*sigh* at smashingM i think you copied this comment from a 1999 article and pasted it. Nice outfits but i agree with africhic, everyone looks kinda stressed out with shiny faces

    • Modella September 23, 2013 at 1:26 PM

Shining faces…Fade,Agbani,Nyvonne Vixen,Jumai Shabba,Veronica,Toke are my favourites, they look effortless…Beauty is not forever, referring to Ufeoma Ejenabor…I have a childhood friend who have blossom into a pretty gal, nice physique and all that, but very arrogant,I wish she know beauty fade with time! Latasha Ngwube love how you put it together but …. a personal trainer needs to bring out the real you. I have given up on Wana etc. make una try naa, diabetes is not type @ is triggered off by obesity

    • Cool cat September 23, 2013 at 3:26 PM

Oh my, naija women are one of the most fashionable bunch in the world, yes i said it. Chalya shagaya, welcome back to naija, that dark choc skin, taking fashion to the next level consistently, only a true fashionista will understand, i only wish the belt cinched the waist in more so it didn’t look too boxy.

This is the best i think I’ve ever seen Jumai Shaba, the body on that babe is purely rad.

Yvonne vixen, after splurging on your world tour, not bad at all, a little safe but very flattering.

Adaure achumba, yes natural hair is chic but not by plaiting calabar and undoing it to get this horrific curl, mbaaaa.

Hadn’t seen latasha’s hair do in a full look, except for head shots and good heavens its not working, always wondered about big women with short hair and this validates that you end up looking like a bubble head on a pumpkin when you wear it short. Nuff said

Who died and made rekena ojong a stylist?

Lilian esoro, nice asos dress but shoe and purse too matchy matchy. Pls look at ugonna omeruo and try this look again. Peggy ovire, no single hips for a bandage dress, if you don’t have hips, forget attempting this look.

Bridget awosika, awesome designer but everyone knows you do not wear ankle straps with below-the-knee skirts, cuts your legs in half, ufoma ejenebor, no words for you, are you in the military now or trying to look like a chameleon? And those shoes??? Whyyy for pete’s sake?

Loving Ono bello’s look, superb. Elohor will not keee somebody with louboutin, Rita Dominic, i will meet you on Emmy Collins’ blog. Taadaa

      • *Real* Nice Anon September 23, 2013 at 4:17 PM

    • The Real Madam the Madam September 23, 2013 at 3:50 PM

This could have been a nice looking red carpet but the quality of most of the pictures is terrible. Jide Alakija, do better next time. Everybody looks ashy and ghost-faced, so adjust your settings in the future.

      • Nkili September 23, 2013 at 6:32 PM

These pictures are clearly mixed. So the ones labelled as Alakija Studios (which are obviously superior) were done by Demi Ogunbanwo for Alakija Studios (not Jide!) and the unmarked ones are by someone else. Just had to clarify, because the credits clearly state, yet there’s always someone ready to do “I too know” !

    • sese September 23, 2013 at 4:16 PM

The quality of these pictures no try at allllll!! So 1998 with a razz retouching. Most people tried but the pictures almost rubbed off their their looks but I must say I love bola balogun, chalya shagaya, bridget awosika, michelle dede, kate henshaw, and alexanra nwokedi. Best looks for me.

    • *Real* Nice Anon September 23, 2013 at 4:20 PM

TCD Concepts takes the BEST event pictures in Nigeria. Hands down! Jide didn’t try at all with these pictures.

    • Commenter September 23, 2013 at 5:16 PM

Agbani owned the carpet. Ezinne chinkata is all shades of amazing. Sharon ojong looks very hard to like. Ezinne Alfa your blog is so awesome.www.beautyinlagos.com saves. Your outfit is nice. Man there are so many people here. Anyhoo, let’s see what the show has to offer

    • Olamide September 23, 2013 at 6:57 PM

what is eni lise wearing? and the pose, aunty please dont! I really like Latasha Ngwubes outfit – big, bold and beautiful she knows what works for her shape. Well done ma’m. Toke makin wa should loose that weave already – we have seen enough. Lol @ the mummy and her LV we see you. These pics tho. is it the photographer or what? the lightening is HORRIBLE.

    • The Fairy GodSister September 23, 2013 at 7:47 PM

Agbani, Ugonna Omeruo, and Michelle Dede. And yes, the mama with the LV bag (plenty respect ma’am!)

I may want to agree with you 100%. However, the fact that u said nothing good about anyone makes it seem like your critique is biased in many ways because there are some decent looking fits on there. Chalya’s Deola Sagoe wajama has me sitting on the fence, but if anyone can pull off the eccentricity it is her.

    • lyde October 3, 2013 at 7:58 PM

obviously chalya shagaya doesn’t appear mostly on red carpet, but whats with dat one she’s wearing na.ezinne chinkata, nice outfit.

    • Mo October 9, 2013 at 10:16 AM

Why on earth would that francesca lady attempt such a style? After seeing a similar(exact) one on Kim K, seeing it on a woman with barely any curves is making my eyes sore.
And what is it with all these women and their pants that keep sweeping the floor? Ah ahn is it a crime to properly fit your pants/jumpsuit before wearing it to an event? haba! i just cant deal.
Fade Ogunro, Ugonna Omeruo and Agbani never disappoint me, they look absolutely stunning. I love Ezinne chinkata’s dress but isnt it a little too young for her? Her face doesnt seem as youthful as the dress.
That Demola Adepetun dude looks quite dapper here, who is he anyway?
