Introducing “Nigeria’s Biggest Wedding Fashion Show” – WED International Fashion Week | Calling for Entries from Wedding Fashion Designers
WED Magazine, organizers of Africa’s Largest Wedding Exhibition, WED Expo is proud to unveil an event set to be a game changer in the wedding fashion industry. Called the WED International Fashion Week, it is the biggest Wedding Fashion Show in Nigeria that will bring together designers, models, the media, fashion enthusiasts and key players in the wedding fashion industry.
The show, which would be hosted as a co-located event with WED Expo Lagos 2014 aims to promote the creative talents of emerging and established designers whose designs fall into the category of wedding fashion.
The Wedding fashion scene in Nigeria has witnessed tremendous growth in recent years, contributing largely to the boom in the wedding industry. Bridal fashion, grooms’ fashion, traditional wears and aso ebi designs are significant aspect of weddings taken seriously by both couples and guests. Wedding fashion accounts for millions of naira spent yearly on weddings and thousands of business opportunities for entrepreneurs and skilled workers.
The WED International Fashion Week will not only celebrate this growth, but would serve as a platform for designers from across the country to showcase their designs to an international audience.
Akin Eso, Publisher of WED Magazine and convener of the event notes that “the WED International Fashion Week is set to be the hub for all things related to wedding fashion. Never before has the wedding industry brought together its fashion players in such a large quantity and this show will surpass the expectations of many.”
A call is hereby announced for both established and emerging designers to showcase their collection on the runway.
Designs would be showcased in three categories:
- Bridal & Bridesmaids Wear
- Grooms Wear
- Aso Ebi (Guest Fashion)
