I hope everyone got out safe. Why do I have a serious gut feeling that this isn’t an ordinary fire outbreak but a measure to cover up evidence and target from NNPC. Any ways I will wait for the details before I jump into conclusion.

Just in time for the independent , foreign auditors . Nigeria we hail thee!
The sad thing is that Nigerians keep focusing on GEJ, and forgetting that the congress, local government chairmen and ordinary Nigerians are equally as guilty. My point… Nigerian will be built by all of us not just the president.Whatever role you are playing, play it well. We all have roles to play.
It is not about political party. We need to device a way of bringing out real candidates to run for elections. Not the same old, same old politicians. We can not blame the Nigerians for electing bad officials when they are not given good candidates to start with.
Question is , how do select people to run for offices?
We should institute new criteria for running for Public Offices like qualifications needed(should match international criteria because we have the man power), experience, track record of work done well, regardless of the individual’s wealth and regulate ways of funding elections. Whosoever possesses these should be voted in, regardless of their political parties.LET’S VOTE FOR PEOPLE NOT POLITICAL PARTIES!!

I partially agree with you, but we must wage a war on corruption very seriously. If you elect all the qualified candidates in Nigeria, corruption is running in 99% of most Nigerian veins. If we don’t have a very strong law on corruption, Nigerians will continue to blame Nigerians. No body wants to die for speaking up, we are all cowards and we all want to get rich by fair or fowl means, whatever it takes. My biggest question is “how do we as a nation combat the corruption that is killing the country?” The foreigners; Chinese, Indians, Lebanese, Koreans etc. are taking advantage of our self created vulnerability and bringing the worst products in the world to Nigeria to sell. Nigerians are also invading Chinese manufacturers asking them to produce the cheapest products for easy money in Nigeria. They get whatever they ask from China without regard to human life. More people are dying in Nigeria today because of all the toxic materials including medications and building materials that are made in China. We can continue to write and write in all Nigerian and International newspapers, it will not make a difference until we physically stand up together and say to these politicians young or old that enough is enough. When are we all going to do that? This is what our neighbors in Northern Africa did.
